To start off with, Stephanie, our bartender and server did a terrific job! The only reason this is above two stars is due to her great work! My wife and I are staying at the RV park on the base. This place is within walking distance, and the reviews were fairly good. we made the short walk there, got the lay of the land, and sat at the bar. Stephanie gave us menus and then gave us the correct menu with all of the line outs. Probably half the menu was lined out. Why? How do you draw patrons when you don't have the items on the menu? One sandwich? Only one individual pizza? Actually it was rather disappointing. The venue itself is very nice and modern, just nothing that really goes with it. Oh and guess what? They don't brew beer anymore. Talk about disappointing. That said, the food that we did order fairly good though the pizza tasted doughy. read more

AWARENESS: The wife and I took our 5th wheel and camped out at NAS Lemoore for a few days. While checking out the base, we came across Spuds Restaurant and decided to go in and check it out. NARRATIVE: The only way I can describe Spuds Restaurant is; its an Enlisted Club / Restaurant / Micro Brew House / Gaming Room and Sports Bar all rolled into one. The menu at Spuds is pretty extensive. They also have a huge salad bar for your healthy options. The wife and I ordered a "build your own" pizza and hot wings to take back to our trailer which happened to be within a 100 feet of Spuds. For a non-military restaurant on a base, I have to say the food was really decent and definitely at a cheaper price for what all you get. SCENE: At the main entrance of Spuds, you'll find their restaurant area. Just behind the restaurant sits a bar, lounge, computer tables and several reading areas and, they have a nice sized outdoor sitting area. RECOMMENDATION(S): Definitely a place I'd hang out on weekends or after duty if I were stationed here. I'd even visit if I were in the area. read more

The Naval Base does wonders for our Sailors. Spuds has great customer service their for they helped me with getting all 9 of my meals for people who were ROM'd for COVID. They directed me to where I needed to go and answered all questions without confusion. read more

So after eating here a handful of times and never really being blown away I think I found something they're truly good at; their build your own hit sandwiches. You don't actually build it yourself, but in subway style you tell the lady what you want and she makes it for you. I had a hot turkey and bacon in Italian bread sub. I was delighted by the flavors and texture as well as the size and amount of meat and cheese. Topped off with a salad bar and it was a delicious meal. My only gripe with this place is that if your not signed up for your free meal they will charge you $9+ for lunch which I believe is ridiculously over priced for what it really is. You can get a foot long subway meal or Panda Express meal for less than that at the food court. So be aware if your not signed up, they will make you pay. I wanted to reach out and complement SPUDS for stepping up today and providing teachers and construction workers lunch during an emergency situation at our work place. They not only provided us with food but also gave us a place to get off our feet and relax for a few minutes. They went above and beyond. THANK YOU!!!! Their food options were great to a group of very tired teachers and construction workers. The cold bar had a large selection of subway sandwiches- bread or wrap, two different meats, several choices of cheese along with vegetables, and dressings. Chips and salad (pasta or potato) came with the sandwich. I didn't see what was being offered if you wanted a hot meal but I saw several people in line for a hot meal and never heard any complaints. The place food there is a hit or miss. Sometimes the food is great, other times is just plain food with no flavor or appeal.

It depends on who is working . They switch staff so often. 2 years ago they had this ugly lady making the dough and she would under cook it. Now they have decent staff helping prep so the food turns out good. read more

A diamond in the rough!! I did not at all expect to be impressed, but when I walked into the bar/lounge, I was so pleasantly surprised! Plus, the bar/lounge side of Spud's is welcome to everyone! When you're on the bar side, you forget you're in Lemoore. It's a huge area that's been completely renovated & there's SO MUCH to do. There are pool tables, darts, the beautiful bar, big screen TVs everywhere, music, food (the mac 'n' cheese bites are SUPER GOOD) friendly staff, computers, printers, couches, a shaded patio with comfy furniture, & there's a pool with a huge water slide! I love that there is actually somewhere on base where EVERYONE can go, & you don't need to be military to be in the bar/lounge area to play games, or order food & drinks! Just keep in mind: to sit AT the bar, you need to be at least 21, & kids need adult supervision. So many great things to say about this place! read more

Here is a perspective from a collective of people that have no choice but to eat at Spuds. First. Your staff could care less for customer service or any resemblance of care to work for your establishment. The bar staff. Great. But separate from the actual food side of Spuds. On behalf of the bar staff, this excludes you completely. However I'd like to address the bar outside of service. The prices are completely out of reach for your target market. The beverage prices are so far out of our league for enlisted personnel that who can bother to have a drink and relax here. It's no wonder the DUI rate for the base is so absurd. And the hours. 4pm -9pm. Really? And on the weekends 4pm -12a. Might I suggest opening earlier during football season? My other suggestion is something of what NAS Pensacola does at Portside bar. Affordable and safe to walk home to the barracks after. (Update) After speaking to the owner his attitude was that if they offered drink specials, that would promote drinking. Of course it does. You're a bar! As for the food at Spuds, the offerings and selection are nothing short of garbage found in the dumpster of OpSide galley. Example. Tonight we were offered: Creamed corn, white rice, potato wedges and fried chicken tenders. 3 starches and 1 protein. Another evening we are served white rice, swedish meatballs tortillas and again, chicken tenders. Now. There is a salad bar. Which on this occasion was near empty and half stocked as it normally is. On other experiences the food fares not far from my previous descriptions. Garbage. I can say this enough. Most all of us are away from our home and loved ones. We rely on our galley to provide nutritious meals and a comfortable place to unwind as sailors. Spuds undermines moral and nutrition in their constant discare and relentless attitude of carelessness. I cant say I won't eat here again. I have no choice. Unless I spend more of my hard earned money. I'd offer a suggestion for improvement but honestly I don't know where to start. Maybe release the third party MWR and bring back Valley Inn NAVY Galley. read more

Spuds? More like duds . Food is overpriced. Service is rude and unaccountable for mistakes. Came to base all the way from Lemoore to avoid the horrible service and burnt pizza from me n Ed's. This place has messed up my order on two different occasions. The first time, I ordered a regular crust and got thin crust. The manager offered a partial refund that was fine. Months later, we ordered another pizza same problem, we picked it up carry out, didn't check the box ( lots of people and hands were full) anyways we called back and the manager argued that it was regular crust, after explaining what flat crust is and that this pizza was, she explained that it was MY fault for not checking! She would not offer any refund or discount because it was the second time. I don't know what kind of reasoning she is using, but in my mind, if something is prepared wrong twice, it's not the customers fault for ordering correctly, it is the restaurant that now has a trend if making mistakes. Drove back to base to demand a remake ( which took about an hour), ended up getting the same FLAT Crust! to make this even worse, everything else we ordered " no onions" had onions. FAIL. read more

Pictures say it all really, ordered a large pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni, see picture. It looks someone tried to slice it with a spoon first off and then forgot about finishing it. No piece of that pizza was sliced at all. Ordered a salad with ranch and then another ranch as well as beer battered mushrooms with 2 ranches for a total of 4, I received 2. I didn't take the time to look over the order upon delivery as I had a fussy baby at the time so I will be filing a complaint within the next couple of days. Not to mention the dineonthego website and app need a major overhaul cause there are no options for a lot of things e.g. mushrooms saying they come with your choice of dipping sauce but there is no option to select a dressing or quantity read more

Each time I come here to sit at the bar, I'm never greeted and it takes 10 or more min just to get a beer. One time I waited 30 min just to even get acknowledged. I was there an hour and a half total and couldn't even order my second beer. This time after waiting 15 min I just walked out. read more

I personally don't think the other reviews gave spuds a chance. When they first opened. Yes they were extremely slow. And the staff was horrible. I've gone to spuds a few times the most recently last Monday night. I had a GREAT waitress!!!! She knew the menu and was very polite. My food took awhile but she was on her toes and told me it would take a few more minutes. They have a not so great rep on base as you can see from the reviews. But I think it all depends on your server and the time you go in. :) read more

To go-delivery menu review only. They do pizza pretty well. Their wings are just ok. I haven't eaten their salads but they look really good and decent sized. Free delivery on base is great, but it can take awhile to get your order sometimes. Once it took over an hour when they told me it would only be 25 minutes. (This was on a weekday) Prices are a little high and they don't offer specials. Some days their pizza is amazing, other days it's ..okay. So two stars off. I like ordering from there but they need some work and maybe to lower their prices... because $25 for a large combo is exorbitant in my opinion. Friendly delivery staff! read more

This is the best of the horrible options we have for eating on base. Staff's customer service is severely lacking. If you go in for the restaurant experience, you have to get up and go to the bar to order anything. Bartenders are lazy and won't come out from behind the bar to check on you. Food is mediocre at best but will do in a pinch when nothing was planned for dinner. My personal morale takes a hit every time I come here. Half the time, the best parts of the menu are going to "be ready in 20 minutes", and the other half they give you tiny portions. Not bad for a base eating spot. Tables and floors need some cleaning at times. The space is big but sometimes crowd.

I love this place . They serve different kind of food everyday . There are some healthy options as well if your up for that . Overall just perfect too because they have a pool next to the restaurant as well read more
