Lovely dining experience on the way home from SoCal. It was Thanksgiving weekend, and our first time at Harris Ranch. We stopped to relax, and have a nice meal after sitting in some holiday traffic. We ate at the Horseshoe Lounge in the adult-only dining room. It was very relaxing. We were seated after a short 10 minute wait. Our server was timely and attentive. She did a great job. Food was excellent. I had the medium rare Ribeye steak, and hubby had the Prime Rib. It came with salad, s baked potato, bread & butter, and veggies cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious. If you have a Tesla, Harris Ranch is a great stopping place to charge your car, and shop & eat while you wait. Very cool place. We will definitely be back.

My buddy and I stopped by for dinner on our way back to LA. It was my first visit and I enjoyed every bit of my rib eye steak! I would like to highlight the hosted, Hannah. She professionally dealt with a patron who was not happy that they haven't been called (Her party wasn't around, as instructed, when they were called a couple of times) And then, I also noticed how she helped clean/set up the tables. Great job Hannah, keep it up!!!

The best part about driving on I5 is getting a great steak at the Harris Ranch. There's no need to settle for a fast food burger or some gas station junk when you can get a proper sit down meal with a juicy steak at the half way point between SF and LA. On a recent drive to LA, we stopped at the Harris Ranch about 4.5 hours after leaving home and enjoyed a 14oz prime ribeye with baked potato and salad. Due to really bad traffic delays I was worried that they'd be closed by the time that we got there, but they're open until 10pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends. They were still pretty busy when we arrived at around 9pm. Although they were fairly busy, we were seated immediately. The service was very friendly. The steak was cooked perfectly and was tender and delicious. The salad veggies were super fresh (apparently they were grown locally on the ranch) and the baked potato was excellent. I recently had a very expensive steak at a San Francisco steak house and ribeye that I had at the Harris Ranch was a little bit better and quite a bit cheaper. Highly recommended - I try to stop here on my roadtrips on I5.

Service was great and food is very good! My husband had Liver and Onions and I had a Cobb Salad with Beef. We usually go for the liver when we travel this way as it is SO good. I opted for a salad and wished I'd gone for the liver and onions, though the salad was good. We were there on a Sunday and the place was packed. We had a 25 minute wait for a table at 1:00 pm. This place has a lovely gift shop too! Makes a great rest stop!

I'm going to be talking about my meal here for some time. Service excellent. Overall ambiance, excellent. My rib eye dip? What's better than excellent? Tasty and the bun defied physics. It stayed firm, absorbed au jus, didn't fall apart and didn't overpower the sandwich with bread flavor. I've waited decades to catch the Horseshoe lounge to be open and it was worth the wait. I'm driving up here just for that sandwich.

I end up stopping by here...a lot. You have a few places you can stop by when you drivel down or up from Los Angeles to San Jose. This tends to be my stopping place when I drive up, largely because of how the timing for car charging works (there's a lot of superchargers in the parking lots - which makes it very convenient to eat here or catch a quick drink while your car is juicing up!). Also, there's a nice bathroom. Despite the fact that they have a captive audience that really doesn't have many other options within literally an hour, the pricing and food is both somehow decent! I usually end up ordering the liver and onions or pot roast. It's been a while since I've had the pot roast and I'll update once I do, but I had the liver and onions very recently - and it was just as good as I remember. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out perfectly, juicy and flavorful inside with the characteristic liver flavor - but crispy and enticing outside. I had a baked loaded potato as my side and it came out buttery and extremely hot, the ideal way to have one! Onions were tart and slightly pickled, which surprised me, but it was the perfect accompaniment to the baked potato and the liver. Also, the service was very fast, both in terms of taking orders and getting the check out. This is actually incredibly helpful considering that a lot of people are basically trying to get somewhere right after they finish eating. Also makes it easy to time the car charging with the actual meal. Anyways, I end up stopping by this place constantly and I've done it for basically decades at this point - and you could stop by too!

4/19/25 Greeted upon entering and bartender was GREAT! Mother ordered the Bloody Mary! I asked about the Pinot Noir and he offered a sample of their house Pinot Noir! Tried and it was Great! I ordered that. Really GREAT Pinot Noir and mother loved her Bloody Mary! Both strong! =D GREAT bar! Having lunch too! Music playing. French dip ordered to split and share with onion rings. Lunchtime! Plenty to split & they had no problem delivering it split. Great! Appreciated! My 1/2 was fresh & DELICIOUS! Tender, GREAT meat! Tasty onion rings with leftovers too! Dipped in ketchup making it even better! Mother said hers was REALLY GREAT! She loved the "crisp & GREAT" onion rings too! They were very generous with the onion rings! Lots of leftovers! Checkout after that and Rigo, the bartender was outstanding! Checked up on us, kind, welcoming and happy to govt recommendations and samples! We also got to sample a DELICIOUS frosted margarita! GREAT service & GREAT lunch! Highly recommended! Great service & GREAT lunch! Highly recommended!

Harris Ranch has always been my family's favorite place to stop when traveling between Northern and Southern California. This is the first time I've tried the Horseshoe lounge as it was just hubby and I- no kids this time (I normally go to the family restaurant). I got the country fried steak which as expected was delicious- hearty, filling, and comforting. The drinks we ordered made to perfection- my pumpkin espresso old fashion tasted just like a pumpkin spice latte but with a kick - soooo good! The seating was nice and comfortable. There was a fireplace but I do not think it was on. Our server was wonderful and checked on us often while providing service with a smile. Kudos to this place for such a wonderful dining experience

If you LOVE steak the way I do. DO YOUR LIFE A FAVOR AND STOP TO EAT HERE. I have been driving by on the 5 for years when heading to SF and finally stopped in August of 2024 and stopped by the adults lounge. There was no wait so we got seated immediately. Very nice resteraunt, great ambiance. The menu was extensive, great selection. Decided to go with a filet mignon that came with a salad and a side. This dinner plate cost me $42 BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. My filet mignon was so damn good and cooked to perfection. The loaded mashed potatoes that was my side were probably the best potatoes I have ever had. The portion was ridiculous but I'm not complaining, it was such a great suprise. Overall I would have to rate my meal a 12 out of 10. It was phenomenal. Now that I have been here, I actually want to stay at the resort. The grounds here are beautiful and knowing that they serve this amazing food, I may have to treat me and my partner to a spa weekend out here. Overall can't wait to come back to Harris Ranch again. Till next time!

Tucked away on a back street in Paso lies this interesting and very amazing venue. I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams going to a place like this, let alone what was inside. To be honest, I at first felt like I was entering the twilight zone, the first time I came here. In the back of my mind, I was thinking, " Is this what it felt like going to something like this during prohibition times? Now, in this post, I will not share all about your entrance, etc., into this place, as that takes the fun out of it, but I must add that if you are in the Paso area, this is a must on your list. Let's go back and recreate yesteryear, a very intimate and very exclusive, club-like atmosphere. You never know who is watching you; it's all that mystery. Does it feel a bit like the game CLUE"? The menu is a masterpiece of everything. there is a grazing menu, sandwiches, entrees, a forage menu of basic veggie presentations, and a bar with quite a few very cleaver offerings. Absolutely fascinating interior. Go inside to take it in. You will be struck amazed. Wife and I came in for dinner and were not disappointed. We felt the warmth. Specialty cocktails, draft beer, bottled beer lounge draft 16oz beers and wine by the glass. They also have some fancy custom non-alcohol cocktails. Everyone should be happy. Service was "on" but fulfillment was "off". Wait staff hustled but had to wait for bar and kitchen to come through faster. I don't usually order specialty/fancy cocktails, but was intrigued with a Feral Martini ($17). Got it and found it to be lacking flavor or anything special. It was watery and disappointing. Was surprised when I shared my feelings with our server Camille O. who took it back, credited it from our bill and brought me a replacement of my choice. Way to go! Had a Manhattan ($12) and wife had a red blend wine ($13.50). Now or our meals. Funny that we both has short rib entrees. Wife did the Taco 'bout Delicious ($21), which was short ribs with oaxaca cheese, cilantro, and a dip of house-made consomme. Like a French dip, but different. She dipped and liked it all. My selection of Braise The Bar ($29) was short ribs surmounting a mound of sage-mashed potatoes dosed with pickled onions, blistered shishito peppers (a favorite of mine) and fresh cilantro. An explosion in my mouth and truly yummy. Nothing served here is usual. Some very cleaver people spent a lot of creative energy to architect entrees, cocktails and the rest of the menu so as to be uniquely delicious. My Yelp! profile does not contain many 5-star ratings but now has this one for Feral. Give it a try and this would be a great first date of small group venture.

They do have a rule that if there's a waitlist, your time may be limited to about two hours so they can seat other guests, which is reasonable for a place like this. The drinks were fantastic. I honestly didn't have a bad drink all night. They offer cold drinks, room temperature drinks, hot drinks, and just about every type of spirit you can think of. The cocktails are very creative, and the bartenders will actually warn you ahead of time if a drink has flavors they think you might not like, which I appreciated. The bartenders were excellent and really knew what they were doing. We had a spicy margarita, mojito, whiskey smash, an ube cocktail, and a few others, and all of them were great. Prices were fair for the quality, creativity, and overall experience. Not cheap, but definitely not overpriced either. One thing I really respected was that they had Narcan and fentanyl test strips available on-site. You don't see that often, and it shows they actually care about people's safety.
