Food and service is always good. The Horseshoe lounge is nice as it's adults only for a relaxing dinning experience. This trip we stopped in for lunch and started with a bowl of clam chowder, good flavor, nice and thick. 04/10/2026 enroute to Los Angeles after finishing 3 back to back trips from LAX to Stockton / Oakley Amazon Fulfillment Facilities, decided to end this trip on my rig with a humble Prime Rib Dinner. It was this or head back to LA and book a reservation at the Lawry's...but didn't want to go there myself so Harris Ranch it is. Quick Opinion. I ordered Medium Rare on my Prime Rib. But the more you progress through your meal, the more you realize the meat is cooked medium well. Still good though but sort of fell short this time around. I enjoyed the roasted vegetables alotmore this time while pairing it with the mashed potatoes. Was hoping they had Creme Corn and Creme Spinach like Lawry's but guess thats asking too much in the middle of no where Coalinga California Cow Country. Looking forward to my two cuts of rib eyes and tri tip steaks I picked up at their Butcher. Lovely dining experience on the way home from SoCal. It was Thanksgiving weekend, and our first time at Harris Ranch. We stopped to relax, and have a nice meal after sitting in some holiday traffic. We ate at the Horseshoe Lounge in the adult-only dining room. It was very relaxing. We were seated after a short 10 minute wait. Our server was timely and attentive. She did a great job. Food was excellent. I had the medium rare Ribeye steak, and hubby had the Prime Rib. It came with salad, s baked potato, bread & butter, and veggies cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious. If you have a Tesla, Harris Ranch is a great stopping place to charge your car, and shop & eat while you wait. Very cool place. We will definitely be back. read more

My buddy and I stopped by for dinner on our way back to LA. It was my first visit and I enjoyed every bit of my rib eye steak! I would like to highlight the hosted, Hannah. She professionally dealt with a patron who was not happy that they haven't been called (Her party wasn't around, as instructed, when they were called a couple of times) And then, I also noticed how she helped clean/set up the tables. The grounds and ambiance are amazing. Location is a great stop on the north/south CA route. I like the idea of an adults only upper end restuarant for a good relaxing time. The menu items are great, good drink selection. The big draw back for our stay was this resturant is attracting the ghetto crowd. One guy had no shoes on and was loudly video timing someone. Another table was banging their plates on the table and being excessively loud. No excuse, there is plenty of security for the fueling station, hotel and multiple eateries on site. Nope, this restaurant was only interest in the money from everyone. For some reason they would not ask these people to depart. The best part about driving on I5 is getting a great steak at the Harris Ranch. There's no need to settle for a fast food burger or some gas station junk when you can get a proper sit down meal with a juicy steak at the half way point between SF and LA. On a recent drive to LA, we stopped at the Harris Ranch about 4.5 hours after leaving home and enjoyed a 14oz prime ribeye with baked potato and salad. Due to really bad traffic delays I was worried that they'd be closed by the time that we got there, but they're open until 10pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends. They were still pretty busy when we arrived at around 9pm. Although they were fairly busy, we were seated immediately. The service was very friendly. The steak was cooked perfectly and was tender and delicious. The salad veggies were super fresh (apparently they were grown locally on the ranch) and the baked potato was excellent. I recently had a very expensive steak at a San Francisco steak house and ribeye that I had at the Harris Ranch was a little bit better and quite a bit cheaper. Service was great and food is very good! My husband had Liver and Onions and I had a Cobb Salad with Beef. We usually go for the liver when we travel this way as it is SO good. I opted for a salad and wished I'd gone for the liver and onions, though the salad was good. We were there on a Sunday and the place was packed. We had a 25 minute wait for a table at 1:00 pm. I'm going to be talking about my meal here for some time. Service excellent. Overall ambiance, excellent. My rib eye dip? What's better than excellent? Tasty and the bun defied physics. It stayed firm, absorbed au jus, didn't fall apart and didn't overpower the sandwich with bread flavor. I've waited decades to catch the Horseshoe lounge to be open and it was worth the wait. I end up stopping by here...a lot. You have a few places you can stop by when you drivel down or up from Los Angeles to San Jose. This tends to be my stopping place when I drive up, largely because of how the timing for car charging works (there's a lot of superchargers in the parking lots - which makes it very convenient to eat here or catch a quick drink while your car is juicing up!). Also, there's a nice bathroom. Despite the fact that they have a captive audience that really doesn't have many other options within literally an hour, the pricing and food is both somehow decent! I usually end up ordering the liver and onions or pot roast. It's been a while since I've had the pot roast and I'll update once I do, but I had the liver and onions very recently - and it was just as good as I remember. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out perfectly, juicy and flavorful inside with the characteristic liver flavor - but crispy and enticing outside. I had a baked loaded potato as my side and it came out buttery and extremely hot, the ideal way to have one! Onions were tart and slightly pickled, which surprised me, but it was the perfect accompaniment to the baked potato and the liver. Also, the service was very fast, both in terms of taking orders and getting the check out. This is actually incredibly helpful considering that a lot of people are basically trying to get somewhere right after they finish eating. Also makes it easy to time the car charging with the actual meal. Was hoping to have lunch at the main restaurant on the property, but it's open for dinner only. Luckily the lounge serves the full menu and opens earlier. Split the 24 oz porterhouse here with a side of mashed potatoes, veggies, and the beef wagon soup. The sides were okay, nothing really special. I was hoping the soup would be a little more flavorful, but it was chock full of meat, which was a pleasant surprise. The quality of the porterhouse really shone through and was super tender. Service was lackluster - it was a bit of a wait to order. Split plate charge is not listed but was $9.95 - they do double the sides. Harris Ranch has always been my family's favorite place to stop when traveling between Northern and Southern California. This is the first time I've tried the Horseshoe lounge as it was just hubby and I- no kids this time (I normally go to the family restaurant). I got the country fried steak which as expected was delicious- hearty, filling, and comforting. The drinks we ordered made to perfection- my pumpkin espresso old fashion tasted just like a pumpkin spice latte but with a kick - soooo good! The seating was nice and comfortable. There was a fireplace but I do not think it was on. Our server was wonderful and checked on us often while providing service with a smile. Holy Hellen Keller Batman, This is that place that your great uncle took that one time on a fishing trip with you grandpa and dad. I have been here before, and didn't have a memorable experience - but WOW, have times changed! Went to eat and ended up getting a porterhouse - it made love to my tastebuds. If you LOVE steak the way I do. DO YOUR LIFE A FAVOR AND STOP TO EAT HERE. I have been driving by on the 5 for years when heading to SF and finally stopped in August of 2024 and stopped by the adults lounge. There was no wait so we got seated immediately. Very nice resteraunt, great ambiance. The menu was extensive, great selection. Decided to go with a filet mignon that came with a salad and a side. This dinner plate cost me $42 BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. My filet mignon was so damn good and cooked to perfection. The loaded mashed potatoes that was my side were probably the best potatoes I have ever had. The portion was ridiculous but I'm not complaining, it was such a great suprise. Overall I would have to rate my meal a 12 out of 10. It was phenomenal. Now that I have been here, I actually want to stay at the resort. The grounds here are beautiful and knowing that they serve this amazing food, I may have to treat me and my partner to a spa weekend out here. Overall can't wait to come back to Harris Ranch again. Great stop but expensive [Coalinga CA] Harris Ranch is the halfway point from Sacramento to SoCal so we decided to stop by and have an early dinner here. This was our first time dining at the Horseshoe Bar... we meant to dine at the main restaurant but my hubby entered this place instead of walking further down to the restaurant the hostess immediately led us to a high table for 2 right next to the bar. We decided to split a 14-oz Ribeye Steak. It came with fresh veggies, choice of soup or salad (we chose clam chowder), and choice of one of the 5 sides offered in which I chose a baked potato. The clam chowder was good and when our server brought out our meal it was evenly split and served in two separate plates. This was really nice of her to request the chef to do this because sometimes the meal would come served in one plate and we would have to do our own splitting. Everything was good although I've had better steak elsewhere. The meat was tender and tasty but pricey. Our server was friendly and accommodating except she never once refilled our glasses of water. Came here at around 3 for drinks before our dinner reservation at the Prime steakhouse. You can actually eat here, it's not just for drinks it it is adult dining only. So that makes it a great option for eating without kids disrupting dinner although I will say it does not mean you won't hear kids screaming and whatnot because it does not have a full wall coverage blocking off the lounge from all the pedestrian hallway traffic. The actual dining area in the lounge is open with a half wall divider so passerby's will be able to look at you while you dine and you definitely will hear the noise in the hallway. They do offer a full menu and an impressive wine list. We sat at the bar. Our bartender was great and attentive. My date ordered a prickly pear lemonade and I had a Rancher white sangria. I tasted the prickly pear lemonade and it was quite good. The sangria had fresh sliced peaches and blackberries in it. No canned fruits here! The bar stools are covered in cow hide so they are a bit fuzzy/furry feeling that my bare legs took a bit to get adjusted to but it definitely gives the lounge that ranch-feel. read more

We love all the venues at Harris Ranch, and this was the first time at the bar. We opted to sit at a small table next to the bar as we wanted drinks and a light appetizer to hold us til dinner reservations at the Prime Steakhouse next door. The place was busy, but not packed. It took over 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us or take an order. I saw the server was busy and that there was some type of issue at another table, but that was ridiculous. We were getting ready to leave, and then he came and took our drink order. Never brought us the water we asked for. And the drinks took another 10 minutes to arrive. It was fortunate that the Olympics were on the TV so we had a distraction while we waited. So we decided to forego the appetizer as it was time to clean up and dress for dinner. The server did apologize, and the drink specials we ordered were good - I had the watermelon margarita and the Hubbs had the watermelon lemon drop martini. I just wish we hadn't wasted almost 30 minutes to get them. We were sorry to have missed the appetizers because they looked good. Next time we will just sit at the bar. Tip: Harris Ranch has four businesses in this building, and I see people are mixing reviews for the different venues. There is the Shop that sells coffees, baked goods, meats and gifts; this is the Horseshoe Bar; the Prime Steakhouse (reservations recommended); and the Express BBQ. I ordered the pot roast meal. Big portions and so tender. The green beans were fresh and crisp. I gave it a 10/10. There are two areas in the restaurant: adults only and families. The families area, where we have eaten before, has that booths and table informal vibe. Today we ate in the adults only area around the bar. Much more elegant and quiet. Parking is easy. My Brother in Law suggested stopping here on our way to Santa Rosa. We ate in the Lounge surrounded by cool, unique decor of ranch and racing items. The portions are large and shareable in my opinion. We had local beers, Pale Ale and Mango IPA and split the Chicken fried steak plate. Served with Mashed potatoes, acorn squash and broccoli. It is mentioned that they serve seasonal veg/fruit with meals. Service was great. Quick and attentive, always making sure we were happy with everything. After the meal we stopped in to the country store where you can buy baked goods like bread and sweet treats, Harris Ranch Beef, individual candy, condiments, Decor and Souvenirs. I was on a road trip and my friend would not shut up about how great this place was to eat. He loves it so much he bought a coffee mug that is one of his favorites. For me, it was just OK, but certainly not good enough to go back. The service was great, and so was the atmosphere. Five stars for that! I had the California burger. I ordered it medium but it was served well done. I went ahead and ate it. It's a big, messy burger, in a good way! It paid a couple of extra bucks to get onion rings and they were the best part of the meal. My friend had the chicken fried steak. It was dry. He said it was just OK. He left a lot of it on his plate. Mind you, he's the one who wanted to eat here! The table seemed really high. I'm 6'1" and the tabletop was at about chest level. I thought that was kind of odd for a regular, sit-down table. For a burger and a chicken fried steak lunch with two iced teas the tab was $62.36 before the tip. Pretty steep and not good enough to ever go back. It was OK though. There's a large electric vehicle charging station located there and there were lots and lots of Teslas lined up and waiting to get supercharged who had probably been waiting for hours. It was crazy how many were there. I'm sure the restaurant gets lots of business while people are waiting to get plugged in and charged up. It's a big place. There's also a gift shop and a butcher shop if you wanna' take a raw steak home. read more
