I love little foodie marketplaces like this. This is where you go to get all the little items for your summer picnic. Plus you discover cool items, like the Amish popcorn with butter flavoring (that doesn't seem seem too Amishy to me, but whatever) and my favorite, Goofyfoot Pretzels. Do yourself a favor and try the cinnamon bun and the Chicken in a Pretzel because they're amazing. They have a small produce section but really, this is snacks central. Plus it's located in a tiny foodie village next to a pizza place and a cafe. It's fun to watch the bikers and jokers run by, knowing that I'm not gonna do that. read more

I have not been here for years. Tried to stop in one day and the parking was 100% gone. That being said, I came back the next day and was not disappointed. No parking problem. Nice little market. Lots of local choices. Some organic, some conventional. Prices are okay, not super expensive, so that is a plus. I did buy a cookie...which was just wrapped in plastic wrap--which was kind of strange. Although I had no idea what was in the cookie, or how long it had been on display...it was tasty. Find it interesting that they are allowed to sell items with no info other than the price. ‍ But it is an interesting little place that I would definitely check out again, but not necessarily for routine grocery trips. read more

The workers at Spud's are always so friendly. They have a good selection of local fruits and vegetables, with a decent amount of them organic. And their beer selection is top notch. I love this place. And the fact that it's locally owned and run and staffed makes it that much better. read more

Spuds 2 is so convenient to have this close by. Prices on produce are on par with Fred. The only issue is they store onions right beside the potatoes. This makes the potatoes ripen super fast. Every time I've purchased a bag of potatoes I've had to toss half of them as they went squishy within a week. read more

After my power walk in this neighborhood, I stopped to get some veggies for our dinner meal. I am very impressed with the quality and freshness of their produce. It all looks "crisp" as just picked that morning. The broccoli and mushrooms I bought were indeed just that! Besides the produce, that have other food items, some specialty, that make this a very nice, old-fashioned neighborhood grocery store like the type I grew up with in the 1950's. read more

An impressive little produce market in Olympia! It is kind of a grocery store as well but it specializes in fresh and organic produce and the prices don't seem that bad either. This place seems to open throughout the year and not during certain times of the year when produce is abundant which is nice to see! I really like this produce stand although the prices are more expensive than Jays across town. They are less than the Farmers Market and large grocery stores. They have a lot of local items, one of my favorites being the Ranaimo bar from Peace Love and Raw. This is a lot closer to my house but I still drive across town to Jays because they are cheaper and when eating fresh and healthy I have to save where I can. If the produce prices were comparable to Jays I would switch and do all of my produce shopping here. Very nicely laid out, clean store, with friendly staff. read more

I don't recommend the produce it tasted old and not worth spending your money on. The people are friendly enough however it's still not enough for me to make an extra trip to stop there.If you want to fill your growler you better already know the beer that you want because there are no samples to find out if you like some of their beers. The reliability of this place is what makes it so awesome to me. I've been here on multiple occasions and it's always clean. And not like, weirdly, sterile clean - I'm talking sanitary yet so cozy and aesthetically pleasing. How awesome is that? This is not the kind of grocery store you power through. It beckons you to take your time and parooze around so you can find all the little hidden gems here, like local beef, bakery items, and beer. Doesn't get much better than that. In terms of price, I think they're more than fair! I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and everything here is of astounding quality. My bad: it's my go-to store now, as it is closer than the Co-ops and Trader Joe's and it's hours are infinitely better than the farmer's market in the months of January-April. Local Local Local. The veggies are so fresh and juicy and there very environmentally friendly but it just annoys me because there food is not that well organized plus actually that's pretty much it. I am so excited about this place! I just moved to the SW side of Tumwater and Spud's is right on my way home from work, making it extremely convenient for picking up a few little things for dinner. Their cheese selection is fantastic and their produce is local and inexpensive. They also have Lattin's cider, Bagel Brother's Bagels, gluten-free bread, and lots of Washington wines. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This place will definitely become a routine stop for me. read more

I really like this place. There is a decent selection of locally grown fruits and veggies as well as local everything else including cheese, beer, wine, meat, smoked fish, and milk to name a few. The prices are cheaper than the grocery stores however, they aren't cheaper than Jay's Farm Stand. This place gets bonus points for having free samples of Lattin's Hot Apple Cider. I like this place, so I will definitely be back. read more

All these positive reviews must be from friends. The market is clean. It's small and wildly overpriced. The produce does look nice, but if you want anything other than a fresh apple or weird beer then you are paying an arm and a leg. The young man was kind and tried to be helpful but there was an older man that was clearly annoyed that I asked if they had any flavored lemonaid. Maybe it's because I was in there with my baby. Perhaps they don't like kids. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because of the young gentleman who actually tried to help me, otherwise they would have gotten one star at best. read more
