This was my first visit to the Olympia Farmers Market, and I was very impressed. It's conveniently located next to Anthony's HomePort. While most of the parking directly in front of Anthony's is reserved for their customers, there is still plenty of parking available nearby, including visitor parking for the neighboring building on weekends. The market is clean, well organized, and even has clean public restrooms, which is always appreciated. One of the highlights of my visit was Perkins Family Farms. I had the pleasure of meeting Llewyn Merrill, the sales manager, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He freshly shucked oysters for us right on the spot for only $3 each, and there was no minimum order. The oysters were fresh, delicious, and definitely worth trying. We also picked up several baked goods, including the cheese bread and a plain croissant, both of which were very good. The cheese bread had great flavor, although it was a little chewy, likely because it had been baked earlier that morning. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the Olympia Farmers Market. There was an impressive selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, berries, mushrooms, seafood, flowers, local crafts, and other unique products. The friendly vendors and welcoming atmosphere made this an enjoyable visit from start to finish. I highly recommend stopping by, especially to visit Perkins Family Farms for their outstanding fresh oysters and excellent customer service. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Olympia! read more

This 'little piggy' went to this market and keeps going back. Why!? Convenient! A quick 8-10 minute drive from my home in Lacey. Location: On the waterfront in East Olympia, a scenic walk along the boardwalk is right there. Selection: More than just veggies, there are vendors selling all sorts of local wares. Freshness: Nothing quite like 'farm to table' freshness of eating locally grown fruits and veggies! Ambiance: Every weekend, they have some musical entertainment on their center stage, and heat lamps inside during the winter months so you can stop and warm your buns and hands. This was our halfway point during our drive and lunch. We arrived around 2 pm and walked around inside to check out all the vendors. Good variety of fresh food, pastries, bread and other items. This market is massive! There is tons of street parking and the location of the market is convenient if you want to walk to / through downtown or to many of the waterfront areas. Open from 10AM to 3PM Thursday to Sunday, this is an easy stop for anyone looking for a range of fresh apples and fish, though be ready to pay fresh fish prices. They have food vendors, plants, produce, baked goods, I like to visit for their jams. Pets aren't allowed in the market. You'll occasionally find live performances on stage. Parking is free in the lot for 2 hours but you may not find many spots open on the weekends. Definitely stop by during Olympia events because it's lots of fun for the family. read more

We were in the area and saw that the farmers market was open so we stopped by. We arrived at around 1:30pm so most of the vendors were out of what they were selling but we were still able to walk around. The market is located a little north of downtown Olympia and there is a big parking lot providing 2 hour parking. The farmers market is open year round and these are the current operating months and dates (all 10am-3pm): - January-March: Saturday only - April-October: Thursday to Sunday - November-December: Saturday and Sunday There is a large variety of vendors including but not limited to meat, dairy, fruits and veggies, wine, pastries, microgreens, clothing, and woodworking items. I also like that it's a covered space and there are heaters scattered across the inside to warm patrons up. Surrounding the market is a stage where you can find live entertainment and food options such as Mexican, Indian, soba, and paella. It's not the biggest farmers market but it'll have everything that you would want to buy if you want to support local businesses. I love this market! Olympia Farmers market is a year-round market (days vary depending on season) that have a nice mix of permanent food stalls, fruit vendors, bakers, meat purveyors, and local arts and crafts. I come for the huge selection of apples of several varieties as well as stopping by the butcher to grab some wild game (elk and venison) jerky! Peak season is April-October when I gather the most stuff is available. The vibe here is festive and fun. During my last stop here, there was a quirky folksy band playing tunes and was the perfect background music for the busy market. I need to come by more and hit up some of the food stalls there when I have more time! read more

I love the farmers market, I wish it was bigger, we got some really great jam that was spicy, I chickened out on the hottest one, but the second hottest was so good!. Amazing farmers market. It was such a delight to walk thru and see the unique array of goods, fantastic bakeries and gorgeous vegetables. I bought deliciously scented soaps, amazing scones, and some small purple onions. Kind of like little green onions that go in ramen but they were purple! There were a lot of other cool offerings there. There's an amazing looking dog bakery with a large selection of various treats. I feel certain everyone will find things they love at this market. I felt really lucky to be in Olympia and drive down the end of the street to stumble upon this market! read more

We stopped in on a Friday morning and were surprised to find so few vendors, maybe it's still early in the season? However, it's always still worth the visit. Five stars for a year round covered farmer's market with a variety of vendors with all sorts of yummy and beautiful items. You can find a bit of everything here- fresh fruits/vegetables, flowers, plants, gardening starters, baked goods, cheese/dairy, meat, salsa, artwork, jewelry, soaps... You name it and you can probably find at least one example. It's got a good variety, lots of parking, a variety of food stands that serve full menus, a lot of seating.. There's also often live music and the whole area is beautiful. I love the flowers and the trees they have on the entry form the parking lot to the main area. We stopped by this farmers market on a beautiful summer weekend. Skies were clear and the market's vibe was perfect for a chill summer day. We loved the variety of vendors -- fruits and veggies, meats, baked goods, paintings, wooden crafts, clothing, etc. Most of the vendors accepted credit cards or other electronic payments, but I would recommend bringing a few $5 bills for the handful of stalls that are cash only. This farmer's market is most likely one of the biggest ones still going on. Though an outdoor market, all the vendors are under a structure for coverage. I went on Sunday Nov. 1. There were 4-5 vendors selling fruit (apples, pears, kiwi berry) and vegetables, 4 baked goods, one kombucha, one oyster, a few more non-food vendors, such as cleaning products (soap, bath salt, etc.). Some vendors are cash only, others take credit card. There were also food stands around: seafood, Indian curry, gyro... *The Crab Cake Benedicts from Dingey's is to die for*. read more

Best, most organized little farmer's market ever! This place has plant stores, bread, pastries, seafood, mushrooms, pet treats, etc. Not too much of any one thing, easy to walk through, love the place! Had a terrible experience at Dan's Dahlias, I was taking a few minutes to pick the bouquet for my mom, both staff(one guy looks like the owner) are very rude and impatient, seem like they want to get me out asap. Not a lot of farm products, as in I wouldn't go here if I was a restaurant procuring ingredients. They have florists, baked goods, soap and other new agey type businesses and lots of food stands. Not a lot of seating at those stands but there are more shared seating areas in the middle where the music is played. Good live music so bring a couple of bucks to tip for the ambiance the musicians bring. If there's only one thing I'd avoid there it's the Mexican food truck. They served old rice which was gross. read more

Minimal selections. I paid $13 for 6 NON ORGANIC apples however they were big. I paid $9 for 3 shortbread cookies (FYI these are pretty cheap 3 affordable ingredient cookies no egg). And finally I waited in line for ten minutes to order two kids corndog meals with fries, onion rings, and one Philly steak sandwich only to wait THIRTY MINUTES for it to be ready. No exaggeration. And they didn't tell me I had twenty more minutes until I asked about my food after waiting nearly fifteen minutes. I paid cash so felt stuck because I couldn't just despite the charge after leaving. This was a really terrible experience and I have no idea how the food ventures are still in business. I truly believe farmers, bakers, and local entrepreneurs in general need to make their money however I don't feel the value (both food, service, environment, and overall experience) justify the time and price. I feel I wasted my afternoon and am only leaving this review because I wish I'd seen something like my review to save my time. At the market I found yummy Rainer cherries and a spectacular apricot and earrings and flowers and more. Great location with plenty of parking. I love shopping at local markets while traveling. My van fridge is loaded with fresh goods and the lovely sweet peas and unusual geraniums liven it all up a bit. read more

I LOVE this market, don't get me wrong, but it's super small. Not only that, but the booths duplicate quite a bit, so I feel like there are only 3/5 options to shop from. Visiting for a weekend and ended up coming here every day for lunch and shopping. Mother's Roots cafe has a fantastic, healthy, grilled salmon bowl (must try the goddess dressing)! Everything I bought was delicious (and also made nice gifts) - sourdough baguettes from the Bread Peddlar, locally made cumin seed cheese and fresh milk from Tunawerth Creamery, and Johnson Berry Farm's Lemon Blueberry jelly . Snatched up a glass tumbler from Ginger Street Folly, the owner/artists were so nice and fun to chat with. Beautiful dahlias, sadly I had no where to keep them as I was traveling. I wanted to try the Kawaii mochi donuts (I live in Hawaii where these are popular) but they sold out pretty fast. So many other booths I didn't get to - next trip!! read more
