Drove over an hour one way to see a new Jeep Wrangler. Was greeted immediately by a friendly salesman (Jerry) and because the salesman that I had been corresponding with already (Billy) was tied up with another customer, Jerry helped me so I would not be waiting around. Vehicle was beautiful...... and "BRAND NEW". Went on a test drive and on the way back looked down & saw that the vehicle already has over 5800 miles on it. I asked if it was certified & was told no it was a new one and that the general manager must have been driving it for awhile. I asked if the warranty for me would be still 36000 miles & I was told yes. The picture in the ad for the vehicle was one that showed it having only 12 miles on it. I would have NEVER driven that far to buy a "new" vehicle with that many miles on it. Maybe this small town dealer needs to hire a person to keep their ads up to date. read more

This place is a joke. I bought a truck from them on Monday drove the vehicle for 70 miles and it breaks down on me. I message them when I was stuck on the side of the road to tell my sales person Billy Bates what happened his response was that's what you get when you buy a used vehicle. What he should of said was that's what happens when you buy a vehicle from Spur. I hope this at least helps someone else from making the mistake I made and go with another reputable dealer. Never take them at there word because they lied to me just to get me back there. I am a real person, posting a positive response for the service department, Jason service manager. On Friday Sept. 22, 2023 my wife and I drove to downtown Gatesville, Tx. for an appointment in our 2020 Dodge Ram Classic. Like every morning the truck started with no problem and did not give us an sort of service light on the dash. When done with our appointment we got in the truck and it wouldn't start. I didn't have any idea what would cause this sudden issue not starting. I called the service department and spoke with Jason and explained what was going on. He believed it was the battery and he drove over about 3 miles and gave me a boost. Sure enough the truck started. I did not expect that Jason would have drove out, I was just trying to get an idea of what may be happening. After all, vehicles today are computers that operate everything. He didn't charge me for this service. I drove to O'reillys part store where they checked the alternator output and the battery. The battery was on its last leg. I changed the battery in the parting lots and back on the road. I don't know if Spur CDJ policy is to do this on all calls but I am very appreciative of Jason and Spur Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep.
