My overall experience with Vinny was good, however he left out a few critical problems with the house, that cost thousands to replace.

We had Square One come in. What they say and did educate us on was our central AC vents had some black on it. We were told by an HVAC company not to worry, that it's just condensation. I bought a home on Long Island, and came across Vinny and Square One on Yelp. I am very glad I went with him (part of my decision process was to chose him because of his good Yelp review, and I am more than happy to confirm it is very deserving). Vinny was incredibly professional, courteous, prompt, and answered all of my questions. His pricing was perfectly reasonable and on par with the market. I had many people at my property when Vinny was doing the inspection (landscapers, plumbers, etc) and Vinny was very patient and had no issues doing the inspection while I was talking to others, and he stayed until the very end. He got me my full inspection report the next day. And he accepted Venmo payment (which was very convenient for me). And he had a question about ventilation in my attic, raised a concern to me, and was able to get on the phone with the builder and get everything completely squared away. Vinny won't just mindlessly tick the box during your inspection, if he sees something that doesn't make sense not only will he point it out but will take the time to explain to you what it is and why he observed it. You get a sense that he really cares and wants the best for his clients. I highly recommend Vinny to anyone that needs to get their home inspected, or anyone that needs a home inspection done for a potential sale. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. We met him at a potential home we wanted to purchase. As a potential buyer, I was always told that the homeowner is not present for the inspection, but that was not the case. The homeowner remained there, as well as their realtor for the home inspection. This may cause some inspectors to trend lightly or back off, but Vinny did not and I really appreciated that. It was clear the entire time that he was there on our behalf. He had a job to do and he made sure to do it thoroughly. Vinny walked through the entire house with us, pointing out numerous issues to be aware of. He turned on appliances to ensure they were in working order. He checked each and every window, air conditioner, electrical socket, heater, and door for functionality. He explained that houses constructed in the 1950s used lead, and since my wife and I are expecting - it may pay to have the water tested. He noted oxidation on pipping and explained some of the hazards that may occur if things are not taken care of. On the second floor of the house, there was a pull down attic. The pull down attic stairs dangerously came to the top of the landing, but it didn't stop him from getting up there and taking a look around. He found prior evidence of a fire, disconnected vents, and other structural defects. Vinny took pictures of everything and made sure to provide a detailed and documented report. Vinny's thorough inspection helped us uncover things that the realtor and home owner should have disclosed but didn't. He even followed up with us and answered all of our questions later that day. Vinny has a background as an engineer, uses modern equipment, and was easy to deal with . This company is amazing. Vincent answered the phone on a Saturday afternoon and booked an inspection with me for that Monday at 10am.
