I was just speaking to her today, and she even remembered that I frequently use the pool just by speaking over the phone. Loving Trifit so much, everyone is great but just want to shoutout Heather because of the multiple times she's gone above and beyond and made me feel highly cared for as a member :)

When you ask the employees, they say "I don't know, I don't really cycle". I'm not sure what that has to do with knowing how to use the equipment at the gym that you do in fact work at. The staff is the primary reason I decided to cancel my membership. They are simply bodies in a chair. They won't help, they don't say hello or greet you, they seem like they'd rather be anywhere else. They act like you're interrupting their personal conversation when you need to buy a water or ask literally anything. Cycling classes come and go without wiping the equipment. The cleaning standards here are 7/10. The best selling point here is the pool. It's nice to swim indoors, but there are only 3 lanes. Also, the cycling instructor, (Bernard I believe?) is the reason this gym gets a third star vs 1. Overall, the staff not knowing how equipment works, saying you're SOL when none of their bikes work, and being overall rude and unpleasant really kill the energy here more than I imagined. When I first signed up, I felt like it did not matter if the staff was rude- but here we are. I would rather pay less, knowing i'm going to get sub par service. If I'm going to pay almost $200, I would expect cleanliness and employees who know anything about the gym.

The Hollywood location has been my home gym for years now but discovered the Santa Monica location…read morewhen I started a new job almost 2 years ago now and it's great! This location is larger than the others so it's really spacious. At the SM location I've trained with Martine, Conrad, and Sean and, as usual, all are well trained, know their shit, pay attention, and are fantastic trainers! They keep you motivated. And it's great taking classes from different trainers because each one will give you a little tip that will land different for everyone. So something small, a slight adjustment, might change the way you do a lift for the better. Another reason I love this place. It's not cheap but it's worth it and so are you! No better $ spent than on your health!

I am a regular at the Studio City Lift Society but love visiting this location if I have to be on…read morethe Westside and love having that option. I love this gym and let me count the ways. 1. Clean facilities and everybody gets their own squat rack for an hour. Time is our most precious non renewable resource in our hectic lives. To get in a full body workout without waiting to share equipment and not spend any mental energy and time programming my workouts makes this membership a great value. 2. It's not HIIT, it's pure strength training using barbells and dumbbells. With 2-3 minutes of rest in between sets. 3. The classes are small and maybe 10 people at the most. It is more of a semi private training experience - all the attention and individualized focus of a top trainer with the social benefits of being part of a positive community. 4. Fast Results. Pure and simple. I've done it all: F45, Barry's, Orangetheory, Indoor Cycling, Hot yoga, kickboxing, etc. I am the strongest, leanest I've ever been and because my metabolism has skyrocketed by adding muscle mass, it's so freeing not to watch calories anymore.

The great feeling starts right at the door…read more Everyone at the front desk knows my name and greets me with a smile. Eder opens the door with a high five every single day, and Sydney is genuinely one of the nicest people you'll meet -- their warm welcome alone motivates me to come to the gym daily. Mike, the manager, has made this the best gym I've ever seen, even though it's not a top-tier location. The improvement since he started is drastic. All the cardio machines are brand new with huge screens, the stretching area has new mats, and equipment covers have been renewed. He also gets things done fast -- I asked him about battery banks, and two weeks later they were there. A few small suggestions that could make this the best gym ever: 1. Upholstery inspections should be monthly. Most pads were replaced, but a few cracked ones remain, and the cracks pinch your skin. (Also, the lower bike on the left ramps intensity to max on its own -- likely a warranty fix.) 2. Hair dryers are outdated. Other Equinox locations have Dysons -- would love to see them here. 3. Paper towel dispensers are manual. Sensor dispensers (like other Equinox clubs have) would be more hygienic. 4. The new cleaning team isn't quite at the previous level. Mopping starts 20 minutes before close while members are still finishing up, and for the first time ever, shower towels ran out. The previous team never had these issues. 5. The AC struggles on warmer days -- upper floors get pretty hot. None of this changes the bottom line: thanks to Mike, Eder, Sydney, and the front desk team, this club keeps getting better. Highly recommended!

The GENERAL MANAGER , name "Mike Smith" Very disrespectful,…read moreunethical, and unprofessional. Today I stopped by at this location to grB a shake and tKe a picture of the back examination machine, so I can search for a home version one. I am a former member , with 6 years of continuous membership, and due to my recent injury on a treadmill on BH location , I had to cancel my membership since 2 months ago, when I arrived today at SM , I explained to this general manager that all I need is to be accompanied by one of the available employees to the back extension machine, for me to take couple of pictures. This rude , non-gentleman manager told me about the policy of the club being exclusive to members only , and refused to help me. I walked out feeling disappointed, disrespected , and betrayed. I don't think people such this guy name "Mike Smith" can present equinox club properly, instead they would make the reputation of the company jeopardized . He definitely needs to address his behavior, and instead of only following the polices , practice some leadership manners, as well as kindness and compassion. I would never visit this club again because of this general manager's poor skills of management, and terrible customer service. I strongly believe he doesn't fit the culture of Equinox club at all.

Yes, it's not luxury by any means but do you know how expensive other gyms are, especially with all those facilities? They also have pickleball and basketball. There is something seriously wrong with the way this YMCA is being managed. After more than two…read moreyears of repeated complaints about the sauna, it's ridiculous that management still hasn't fixed the problem. I've seen tons of complaints posted online, and I know many members have reached out directly through the website forms, emails, and phone calls. Despite all that, nothing has changed. A few people keep tampering with the sauna sensor by covering it with paper towels or pouring cold water on it so they can crank the temperature way up -- often hitting 220 degrees or more. Tuesday morning was my last time in there. I walked in and it felt like stepping into a burning oven. Another guy was there and told me someone had actually passed out a few weeks earlier because of the exact same issue. I rely on the sauna because of a medical condition -- my doctor even recommended it -- so this is extra dangerous for me. This isn't just bad customer service or a small maintenance glitch. It's a straight-up serious safety failure. Management clearly knows what's going on and who's doing it, but they still haven't done anything effective to stop it. At this point, I have to question the competence of the management team. The fact that they've let this dangerous situation drag on for over two years shows a shocking level of negligence. Honestly, the way they've handled this makes me wonder if they could even run a taco stand on the corner, let alone a facility responsible for people's health and safety. A lot of sauna users are older adults and people with health conditions. Management shouldn't be gambling with members' safety and waiting until someone gets seriously hurt. Because I'm not willing to risk my health, Tuesday was my last day in that sauna. As of Friday, I started going somewhere else. It's really disappointing that loyal members are being forced to leave because management refuses to fix a known and preventable safety hazard. I strongly urge them to take immediate action: investigate who's tampering with the equipment, enforce actual safety rules, and finally make this facility safe and responsible.
