As I was walking up Joel was returning and said he needed 15 minutes. I walked in as he took a customer and seated him at our appt time. He said it would be real quick. The guy had a beard and almost no hair so how long could it take? 30 MINUTES later my son said let's go. I walked over to Joel and said we were leaving. He actually seemed surprised. I told him that I had yelled to get my son out the door to be on time as I told him being on time is important. Joel said he was done (didn't look like it as the customer wasn't moving) and I replied at that point I didn't care. He then offered to cut for free. I didn't care. NO APOLOGY, NO EXPLANATION. I'm sure everyone got an earful how unreasonable I was after I left. I hope that guy you gave our time to is a repeat customer and tips well, because we will never return. It has that small town feeling when you go there. Kenny has been cuttin my hair for over 6 years now. The art of social banter seems to be a lost artform that the owner and other barbers understand. Kenny is a fun loving guy that would give the shirt off his back to anyone that asks. He loves to talk about his love of the ocean as well as music. He has some great stories he would love to share if you ask him to. Sandy is as cheerful as they come. She is always the smiling and laughing local what you can't help but love. Charlies is the smooth calm guy from up north. Splitting his time between NJ and our little town here in FL, he is retired from Law Enforcement & the Navy. My father loves getting his haircut from him so they can talk about the navy. All three are great with kids and even have over 1/4 of the shop dedicated just for them! Often times you will come in and see local friends sitting around just to talk and have a great conversation.
