She's efficient and precise with her craft. Rigby's can get busy, so it's best to make an appointment if you need a haircut for a special occasion. They prefer cash, but they will accept credit cards with a small charge. The prices are very reasonable, and it's always great to support local business. I went with my husband when it was time for our son's first haircut. Shawna was great with our 6 month-old. She knew how to work with him and get him used to a stranger touching and cutting his hair. After she worked her magic, Shawna knew to keep the trimmings for our scrapbook and our son even got a certificate to commemorate his first haircut! There is a sense of strong competition between barbers for customers that make me feel uncomfortable. Time to move on from this shop. Just IMO. read more

There are only a few things I cherish and one is my hair. It's a first impression and means the world to me. I just got my haircut from Rigby's and now I'm wishing i never have to run into a single person. Not only was I cut and burned from a simple edging, my head looks like bowling ball pin. I ask for a low fade and keep it square and I get a great clips special with a number 2 all around. I am so embarrassed to even look at my self in a mirror. I walked into Rigby's today and was immediately seated by Shawna who asked what I was looking for. After a brief explanation of what I typically get, Shawna got to work and had my hair cut, my beard trimmed, and my neck shaved in about 22 minutes. It's one of the best haircuts I've ever received and also one of the fastest. Shawna is like a surgeon and really knows what she's doing. I paid $28 ($20 for the haircut, $7 for the beard trim, and $1 because I paid by card) plus tip. She also recommended other barbers to me in the shop, telling me what their strengths were and that I could walk in any time. Thanks a ton Shawna! This was a great experience. The shop is casual, spacious (so you don't feel claustrophobic), and everyone that I talked to was super nice. I'll be back for sure! read more

Came to this place 3 years ago, and stopped coming because I move out of the area. Now that I am back, I went there to get a haircut and my beard trimmed by "Jorgie" - fantastic experience! Jorgie is fantastic, prices are fair and very pleasant guy to talk to! I notice that this barber shop is very clean, easy to get to and parking spots always available. Tip: please be mindful of the times of operation, because the hours are not like a normal barber shop. (i.e. Saturday's opens until 3 pm - closed Sundays) also make sure you know the days your baber is working, they are usually off two days a week. Overall awesome experience, I felt that I needed to update my review from 3 years ago because a business that stays consistent with great employees and great customer service, deserves a great review! read more

I have been coming to Rigby's ever since I moved here just over two years ago. From the service, to the cut, to the cleanliness of the shop, I've never had an issue here. I've had four or five different folks cut my hair there, and each time I've left more than happy. Price wise, I pay $20-$21 cash with tip, but this is way way way more worth it than paying less at chain locations. Support local businesses! Keep in mind that this place does not take appointments/reservations. With that being said, allow yourself anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes of wait time. Wouldn't hurt to bring a book or a set of headphones to be prepared. I'll definitely be back! read more

Yesterday was our first time there. I took my son there for his back to school haircut. My son has been growing his bangs out. The male barber in the back corner cut his hair. My son asked for a little trim. Rather than do as asked he completely cut them off which totally changed his hairstyle without asking. My son was in tears. Thanks a lot, he had to go to school with less confidence because of your barber. I will have a tough time getting him to be ok going for a haircut next. I came in with a grown out undercut. Being a woman, and never having to require a fade or services provided by a barber, I was greeted warmly and assured that they would have no problem helping me out. I love that I didn't need an appointment and I didn't have long to wait! Nikki was my barber and she expressed an interest in doing design work and helped me to determine what grade of a trim I should have as my longest length (since I was completely clueless to the difference between a 1 and a 2). She did an amazing job! She offered a couple of ideas to subtly spice up my undercut, like putting an edge along the border between the long hair and the short hair and defining the base of my hair line to sort of mimic the top line.. (I'm not even sure what to call the different parts). I plan on coming back with a couple of images to use as inspiration for my next trim! read more

I later found out she was the owner. I do not recommend you using this Barber shop after what I personally experienced. Was recommended to go here from a friend of mine and he was not wrong. The owner greeted me at the front entrance and assigned someone to assist me. The guy cutting my hair, Ramon, is friendly and gave me a good haircut. I cannot express more that I appreciate the meticulous way he cut my hair; I rarely get haircuts where people make sure to do a good job and take their time. Was looking for a closer barber to where I live and am glad I found Rigbys. They are more expensive than my usual barber but more convenient. They take walk ins and even will offer you an ice cold beer! The barber listened and more importantly followed my requests and I left with the cut I wanted. I'll be back for sure. read more

I did not feel safe here from a COVID perspective. Once I walked in I thought the staff would put on their masks once I went back for my haircut. The woman ready to cut my hair who seated me had her mask well under her nose. The other staff member across the shop came over to talk very loudly in close range without his mask. I got up to leave at that point and they told me the would put theirs masks on if I wanted. I shouldn't have to ask or explain myself. They could give the best haircuts in the world but is not worth risking a trip to the hospital for it. I am at high risk and take COVID precautions very seriously. I was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and needing to come to terms with upcoming chemo treatments and the inevitable loss of my hair. Decided to cut my hair extremely short but not have it all taken. I was greeted by Nikki who, after explaining the situation, made me feel like I could kick some serious cancer butt and continued the pep talk throughout the entire haircut. I have to say that she gave me the BEST haircut I have had in my 50+ yrs! What a great haircut experience for my toddler. We've only need to one other place in the past and this was by far a better experience. I really appreciated that the stylists were honest if they weren't comfortable with long kid hair. Nikki was patient and engaging with my son. She also took a great deal of time to style his hair and made sure we were happy with the cut (I say we but you know it was mom who cared the most - baby curls are so hard to see cut!). The shop is decorated nicely in a mashup of an old-school but modern vibe. I saw there were cozies and a mini-fridge in the corner but wasn't sure what it was for - maybe cold drinks? If so it should be marketed better. I enjoyed then lollipop jar right up front, so my son could watch all the other kids find their lollipop reward when they finished. It was good prep for sitting in the chair. Overall our toddler's hair cut came out perfect and we will definitely be coming back here for future cuts! read more
