Tucked away in a little strip mall, this place might look unassuming from the outside, but step in and you'll find a whole world of fun waiting for you. Between the classic pinball machines, well-kept pool tables, and the laid-back vibe, it's the perfect spot for a date night. The owner is genuinely one of the kindest people you'll meet and is clearly passionate about every machine and every detail of the experience. You can tell he really cares about keeping the place running smoothly and making sure everyone has a good experience. It's rare to find a spot that's this chill, authentic, and just plain fun. Whether you're into billiards, pinball, or just hanging out somewhere low-key with good energy, this place absolutely delivers. Best part of the night is the adorable shop puppy "Snowflake" who will challenge you to a game of tug-of-war. Would most definitely go again, but will make sure to bring cash next time as it is a (reasonably priced) cash only spot. read more

Tables recently redone, both cushions and felt. All was good. Pricing seemed reasonable. Owner friendly.

This was a fun little surprise. My friend brought me here to play some pool and it was great. The location is small but they are able to fill it without making it feel crowded. There are some great pinball games and a couple pool tables. The owner is very friendly. I will be coming back here soon read more

Lloyd "LTG" at S&S Billiards is a legend in the pinball community, so when I had travels from California to Minnesota I made sure to stop by. He's a wealth of knowledge both online and in person, yet super friendly and happy to chat and tell stories of his vast experience in the pinball world. The pinball machines were great of course as well, and it was cool seeing locals come in Friday and Saturday nights shooting pool and playing pinball, but the real treat for me was meeting the man himself. read more

If you like to play some old school pinball, this is a good place to go. There are not very many places to play good pinball tables at. The owner here knows a LOT about pinballs. It is a quaint little place in an old run-down strip mall in Hopkins. They also rent pool tables by the hour. They have both old and new pinball games to play here. Some of the new games are pretty cool. If you are in the market for one, i am sure he can help suggest some options for you. Good place to unwind. If you like pinball this is one of the best places to go in the Twin Cities. There is an exceptional collection of machines from classic to the most contemporary machines out there Many of the machines are limited edition. All are meticulously maintained, play the way they should and games are priced as low or lower than anywhere else. There are several gems. One in particular is one of the first Twilight Zone machines ever produced and sold. Twilight Zone is ranked in the top 3 machines of all times. This one has some additional bumpers on the lower left play field that make the game easier (less draining) and more fun to play. I have never seen one like it. It was fun to see and play, and the owner, who knows a ton about pinball, took some time to tell me about that and some of the other machines. The dog is also fun to pet and super friendly. SS Billiards is a great find. The atmosphere is perfect for kids and grown ups with a kid still inside. Come with friends. There are plenty of machines to play on your own, doubles, triples, whatever. Definitely check it out of you like pinball and/or want to share your love of the game with others. read more

One of the last havens of good pinball in MPLS. The machines are kept in good shape and have around 20 machines up and running at any time. I've been going for 15 years and keep coming back when I'm in town! BTW, the prices on the machines are what they should be, 25 cents, 50cents, and 75 cents with no stupid tokens involved. This place is located in a pretty boring and tired looking strip mall, but once you set foot inside, it's all about the PINBALL. At least for me, although they obviously have pool tables as well. But I always go there for the great selection of well maintained pinball machines. Lloyd, the owner, is a great guy, and so is his little white dog that always greets me at the door with a wag. If you want to play pinball, this is the place to come. All the machines are clean and play correctly. A few of the early 80's ones have display issues, but most of the mid-90's and up machines are immaculate. They even have updated DMD displays to color LCD, which really adds a lot to the games. We played all the classics and few new ones I didn't even know were out. Medieval Madness, Addams Family, Attack from Mars, Twilight Zone...you name it, and this place has it. Crowd is friendly and polite, snacks are available, and there never seems to be a wait for the machine you want to play next. Highly recommended. read more

The atmosphere is very casual. It's a pool hall. The queues are okay, the tables were FULL of dog hair. The place is kind of dirty too. If you're very allergic to dogs do not come! However, I gave this place 4-stars because there are very few billiards halls here and you can do exactly what you want... Shoot some pool. There is no alcohol served so there is no age restriction. About 6 tables. $8 an hour. read more
