Love the old school vibe aesthetics. Not sure if I ever bowled here but I decided to go for a birthday party and definitely had a good time. The bartender was really cool and easygoing. WOW!!!! This place was such a surprise. We usually go to a different bowling center and decided to try this one out because it's 5 mins from our house. We enjoyed it very much. They have league mid afternoon on Saturday's so just beware there are only a few lanes for walk-ins. The food and drink is pretty typical for a bowling alley - think fried food and pizza. Fat guy with glasses is always so unnecessarily rude to us every time we go here. I haven't made a review before but it's the third time comments have been made in front of our faces from him. When you go up to the counter to get shoes or pay he always makes comments that are referring to us as stupid for various reason like not knowing which till we are going to check out at and questioning why we are just staring at him when we ask to check out. He also made the other employee he was working with super uncomfortable after he made comments that we could all hear and then made the other employee check us out while he continued to talk shit about us. I bowl in leagues so I can't review based on bowling "for fun". For bowling league it's a great time! The lanes are maintained well and there's always a clean shot. It is a smaller house with 24 lanes. The tables are nicely spread out and there's plenty of space for five people teams. There's also plenty of space for drinks and food. And they have wonderful food!! My favorite are the tots and wings. The sweet chilly wings hit the spot. The service is always great on league night and you get to know the servers. It's pretty old school here! I'm talking panelled walls, lockers for your shoes/ball and vending machines for snacks. I happened to go here for a work function during the day and it was empty. We were able to get right onto 2 lanes and bowl right away. They do have computerized scoring screens, but its seems a bit ancient. I used to bowl here as a kid with my Dad and my brother. They've got great lanes, solid bowling shoes, and a wonderful grilled cheese sandwich with fries at the bar. Also; this is the actual bowling alley that The Big Lebowski is based on (and where the Coen brothers bowled growing up). And they serve a damn fine Sarsaparilla if you ask for it. Divey, fun and endearing. It's a fun place to bowl and a decent place to grab a beer. The food/bar staff is great, the front desk people are ok. Prices are reasonable. You'll have a great time, just call ahead to make sure leagues aren't bowling. Everyone knows this is the easiest house in the Cities, so enjoy the pinfall. Oh, and get the pretzel sticks. I've been bowling league at TT for 11 years, have bowled in leagues elsewhere as well, I like the care they take. Generally a dirty place upon Arrival. Maybe there was just no time to vaccuum or anything that day for the staff. Thats a big game changer for me. It reflects the attitude of your entire staff, and the feeling I got from it was "We don't care." Good thing the prices were nothing to argue with. And the family I was with had a pretty good time. The food was also nothing to brag about. Overpriced and undercooked pepperoni pizza. Sad. This is one of my favorite places to go on a Sunday night. The dry rub wings are super tasty. I like to come there on Sunday's and play a bunch of tunes in the Juke box in the evening then karaoke to the crowd at night. If I could give a negative star review I would. The staff here is mad when you inconvenience their conversations by entering their establishment. We asked if any lanes were available for bowling, they said no. Literally only one word, leaving our only option to turn around and walk out. This bowling alley could not be more convenient as our go-to alley within walking distance of our new house, however they have ruined their opportunity to bring in new regular customers. This is a great low key place to bowl with friends. My friends and I have been there several times over the last few years on Friday and Saturday nights and have never had to wait for a lane, unlike most other places around the cities. They have a bar and drinks are decently priced for a bowling alley. The bar area usually has a fun crowd. As far as the bowling lanes and seating area goes, the place is kept clean and the lanes are in nice shape. The oil patterns seem to vary between lanes which can be a little frustrating. Last night we were switched to a different lane and it was night and day how ball moved. This is why I rated it 4 stars. But if you want to bowl and don't want to wait an hour for a lane I highly recommend Texa-Tonka. read more

If you like the Big Lebowski this is the bowling alley for you. No-frills, strong cheap drinks and classic VFW style bar food. I recommend the cheese curds. In my opinion they have some of the best bowling lanes in town. You can usually get a lane on a Friday or Saturday night easily.
