The children are nurtured and deeply cared for by amazing, highly qualified and empathetic teachers who lead by example. They are genuinely excited to go to school each day, and, through the Montessori teaching method, absorb imperative life, critical thinking, analytical, and social skills in the classroom that they then take home with them. Oak Meadow students (my own and those that I've observed of all ages) are independent thinkers who are considerate, respectful, and supportive of one another. It's so refreshing to witness! Oak Meadow is a very special learning environment - we looked at many preschools in the area, and are consistently impressed with Oak Meadow's curriculum, teachers, and community.

The personal attention and care that he received from his teachers all through his years at the school has a lot to do with this success. We have been so happy with his progress that we had no hesitation to start his younger brother in the same program a few years ago and we have been very happy with how well he is thriving at the school. The teachers and staff are warm and very caring. The school treats staff well, and so they stay on for years. My son still sees a teacher he had as an infant on a regular basis. The staff and program focus on what's best for the kids, and ask for a level of engagement from parents that may be greater than a regular daycare or preschool. Nothing is mandatory, but it does encourage a level of interaction that has truly bred a nice community. I'm so happy we found eBridge and can be a part of this special place.

It was reported to me by older children my daughter was being physically abused. Left to pee her pants and sit in it while they refused her the bathroom as well as to call me for the entire duration of taraweh. Again the principle refused incestigation and defended the adults rather than protect the children.

Granted, we did have two virtual meetings to talk about his behavior- he was having potty talk, throwing toys sometimes and blowing raspberries/ making fart sounds with his friends (which the teachers said he was spitting on kids!!). When we met, I offered them suggestions about what works at home when he is giving us trouble but mid-sentence I was interrupted and persuaded time and time again that he needs an evaluation. I am sorry Applewild, five year old boys are just like that sometimes. I am very disappointed and heartbroken over their course of action. The director seems to be heartless. The teacher was so timid she didn't stick up for our son. The assistant teacher's main objective was making sure we got him evaluated. Which, we are right now...and he's doing great (he is above average!). They are not finding ANYTHING wrong. During his evaluation, the specialist told me that this is not the first time THIS YEAR that Applewild has kicked out children! Mid year- March! So now we are left scrambling for a new school, my son has anxiety about starting a new school, we have to get evaluations done just to prove Applewild wrong...so much stress! In conclusion, if you have a daughter, she will love this school. I would have loved it. If you have a child that needs firm rules and can get excited around other children, then Applewild will probably find your child to be "behavioral." I am deeply, deeply saddened by Applewild's approach. I have never in my life written a Yelp review- I am a very understanding person. This experience has rattled me to my core though. Something has to change with this school and they certainly should never try to persuade parents that something is wrong with their child. Shame on you, Applewild.

Poor communication also, teacher and director skipped the conference call to tell us of there choice, they set up time and failed to meet at that time. Made us wait 4 days before they finally told us he was not accepted. Children deserve a school where they are accepted and can strive. I can't count the number of times I came in to find 4 or 5 yr olds roaming the halls without adult supervision. I came early once and witnessed one teacher screaming at literal toddlers. The communication was laughable. We would send in baby food with strict instructions to only feed him that and find out that they were giving him other food that he had never had before. They would keep him in a swing to sleep and not transfer him to a crib. They got aggressive whenever we asked simple questions. Would not recommend.
