Despite my distress, Karrie-Ann Soto was patient and understanding, which helped me manage my emotions and complete the transaction. She was very understanding, offering sincere condolences for my recent loss. She made the process smooth and comfortable. Nearly two weeks after our initial visit, my husband and I returned to NBCU and met with Sweta Patel, a member service representative. I had previously interacted with Sweta months before, during a visit with my father. At that time, my father was struggling to comprehend a particular situation, and Sweta demonstrated remarkable patience, guiding him through the process with exceptional care. Sweta's dedication and attention to detail were instrumental in our decision to open an account at NBCU. She took ample time to ensure that both my husband and I fully understood the many options available to us. Her careful explanations and thoughtful approach made us feel confident and comfortable throughout the process. It took until Jan. 22, 2018 to correct this error since the 2/9/18 payment hadn't even been mailed yet. The next week, on the 24th I received extra money in my paycheck so I decided to make another payment on the Principal balance. Yep, you guessed it...same branch(Kempton Street), same mistake. Tellers and customer service staff can't fix it and here we are on the 30th of January, 2018 and it's still not fixed. Staff not trained, no one uses common sense. Mistake not my fault except maybe I shouldn't have trusted them to do the job properly.

She closed the accounts and put her coat on to go home without giving me my money I had in 2 accounts. I come back from vacation to find out that one was never closed. Now she says I have to call a 1800 number to get it all resolved after clicking on the computer for 25 minutes of my life. Went to the Santander on Rockdale it was like night and day. Didn't need a 1800 number.

Today, my man, Ryan's, money was FRAUDULENTLY STOLEN from his account - HIS WHOLE PAYCHECK! He was never notified, by phone, or ANYTHING, of unusual activity (although they LIED and said they did!) Now, instead of the SUPERVISOR from the fraud dept. giving him back HIS MONEY (like they CAN'T AFFORD IT ?!) pending an investigation, they told him it'll take about 10 days! TEN DAYS!!! We have to WAIT for them to finish their investigation. Now, we have to inconveniently pull funds from elsewhere (which isn't much) for Memorial Day weekend. This bank DOESN'T CARE about its customers! When this happened to me, my bank (St. Anne's Credit Union) IMMEDIATELY reversed the fraudulent charges, froze my card, and issued a new one. Their investigation found FRAUD, obviously! If First Citizen's Bank calls Ryan back TODAY (5/23/25 - they know who he is) once they see this review, I PROMISE I'll will update it.
