The philosophy of this church and the way in which they embrace everyone who enters is just really neat to see. We came from a huge church, searching for a closer group of folks to do life with and we found it. The teachings are relevant, biblical and man, do they sometimes really hit home. The music is great as well. Led Zeppelin, Mumford and Sons, The Avett Brothers, The National, classic hymns and more.... you really can't go wrong with the genres of music they incorporate into the services. I would love to see people let loose a little bit more but that's my own personal issue and relationship with music - don't judge. The children's church is great and the kids always leave with a verse and a cute project. They have made friends and don't pitch a fit when it's time to go - can I get an Amen?! They have volleyball teams, a wine event to benefit a great ministry, support local schools, do trivia nights and so much more. I highly recommend visiting and if you need a friend to go with, send me a "hey girl, hey"!

It is a solid bible-loving church that has been led by senior pastor Colin Smith since 1996, who has a radio ministry called Open the Bible (openthebible.org). Each location has a campus pastor and Barrington is led by Pastor Tom Olson, who regularly teaches and preaches. About 10 years ago this was a children's museum that was turned into a church. And it is located on Grove Street next to Safety Town. I attend the Arlington Heights campus, and I go occasionally to Barrington during the summer months to the Saturday night service. Very welcoming and I really appreciate the excellent bible teaching!
