My experience with Bella Vista Christian Academy was beyond disappointing, and I ultimately removed…read moremy children because of it. The overall environment felt negative and, at times, openly unkind. I witnessed staff speaking to students in ways that were belittling and inappropriate. In one instance, a teacher used name-calling toward students--something that should never happen in any school, especially one that claims to reflect Christian values. Administration was equally frustrating. Concerns from both parents and students were consistently dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of feeling heard, I felt brushed off and judged. During a very difficult time in my personal life, I expected neutrality and professionalism, but instead experienced what felt like bias and a lack of basic understanding. Leadership was particularly concerning. While interactions could appear polite on the surface, the follow-through told a very different story. Decisions felt inconsistent and unfair, making it hard to trust the administration at all. The front office experience made things even worse. Shannon, who is often the first point of contact, was repeatedly rude and unprofessional in my interactions. The tone was unwelcoming and dismissive, which sets a terrible example for both families and students. First impressions matter, and in this case, they reflected a much deeper problem within the school culture. To be fair, not every staff member reflects this environment--Mrs. Quilcy stands out as kind, patient, and genuinely supportive of students. She deserves recognition for the way she treats families. Unfortunately, one positive example does not outweigh the broader issues. For a school that promotes faith and character, the lack of compassion, professionalism, and willingness to listen was deeply disappointing. I cannot recommend this school to families looking for a supportive and respectful environment

The teachers and staff are wonderfully communicative and genuinely work to build strong partnerships with parents. The coursework strikes a great balance--challenging students while still ensuring they fully understand the material.

Bigger churches will always have at least a bit of a "production" feel but when you get to know people here you'll find them to be sincere and down to earth. I appreciate that the Southern Baptist Convention does not sway with the culture, one of the few denominations out there that doesn't it seems. Good to know there are some churches left that still aren't afraid to call sin for what it is and that Christ is the only answer to a fallen world that is only drifting further and further away.

They have childcare on both Wednesday nights and Friday nights also. Church services stream online live or after service times on YouTube or Vimeo. There is a homeless shelter ministry with art therapy, work in the community to paint bus benches in the town, disaster relief teams that go to help in areas of need and so much more. I was given very detailed information about what the program would entail and was able to see a class in session before enrolling. As my son completes pre-k in a few weeks, I have to give a shout out to Ms. Mayte and the team (especially Ms. Seena and Ms. Miriam) for all they have done for us. My son started the school year pretty shy and apprehensive and has blossomed into a bubbly and social preschooler. It's been an amazing thing to see. The school gives us regular updates throughout the week on the Brightwheel app and anytime I've had any questions or needed some time to chat, I would hear back from his teachers promptly. We get photos through the app as well that are always exciting. Sometimes it's a snap of playtime, a celebration, or completing a milestone and receiving kudos. Along with the basics of letters and numbers, my son has gotten to learn about different cultural holidays and has loved telling us what he's learned. He always seems to be doing a new activity and doing the half day program has definitely been the right choice for our family. Ms. Mayte took the time to really get to know our son and has been instrumental in all areas of his development this year. I can only hope that he will continue to have great teachers for the rest of his academic journey!

It looks appalling! Like a cement fence at a landscaping rock yard storage. And the Pastor does not care!!!!! I tried to talk to him but all he wanted to say was how a lot of families in Tracy are waiting on a list to get into this school and avoided talking about the problems. Balls of all sorts were coming into the back yard. At first, an adult would come in from the front side gate without asking, go into the back yard and throw the balls back over to the schoolyard. NOW they put up a net about 25 ft. tall. Adding to the cruddy okie looking fence we have to look at a 25 ft. tall net with holes everywhere. Last straw, my mom called me almost crying (Mom is 93 & Dad is 96) about they now trimmed all the trees that were facing the back fence. They went 4 feet into the yard and not trimmed but cut all the branches next to the fence and left all the branches on the ground for the second time this week. I really feel they are taking advantage of the elderly.

One example of how loving this church can be occurred when my wife and I brought home our adoptive son with no warning of the day he was coming. We were ill prepared thinking we would have several more months to plan and had nothing, no crib, no clothes, not even diapers. The members of this church met us at our home when we got there with everything that one would ever need for a newborn. Crib, diapers, bottles, formula, clothes and the list goes on longer than I've got room for in this review. We didn't need to leave home for anything for several weeks. This is just one example of the amazing work the members of this church do for their community. They truly live what it means to follow Christ. Mr. William G, I'm sorry you had a bad experience. The 'father' of this church is God. Please come back and let us make you feel more welcomed. If you felt lied to, please message me with more details, I'd be interested in understanding your point of view.

Knowing my child is picked up on time, in a clearly labeled car by a uniformed staff member, gives me complete peace of mind. They use an amazing app that updates every 5-10 minutes, so I can see exactly what my child is doing throughout the afternoon. I also appreciate that I can plan ahead to meet the designated staff member who is scheduled to pick up my child (since pick-up staff may vary). Communication is excellent, you can text the driver and even the owner directly with any questions or requests, and they respond quickly. As a parent who once spent hours searching for a trustworthy transportation service for my 4-year-old, I can honestly say this program stands out for its professionalism, safety, and genuine care. It's such a relief to know my child is in good hands until I can get there. If you've had a negative experience with this school in the past, I encourage you to give it another chance. The program is now under new management, and the owner Vantika is really great to work with.
