Knowing my child is picked up on time, in a clearly labeled car by a uniformed staff member, gives me complete peace of mind. They use an amazing app that updates every 5-10 minutes, so I can see exactly what my child is doing throughout the afternoon. I also appreciate that I can plan ahead to meet the designated staff member who is scheduled to pick up my child (since pick-up staff may vary). Communication is excellent, you can text the driver and even the owner directly with any questions or requests, and they respond quickly. As a parent who once spent hours searching for a trustworthy transportation service for my 4-year-old, I can honestly say this program stands out for its professionalism, safety, and genuine care. It's such a relief to know my child is in good hands until I can get there. If you've had a negative experience with this school in the past, I encourage you to give it another chance. MHHS focuses on the "flipped learning" concept where student and teachers work collaboratively in the classroom. Online learning is part of this process and it has caused much controversy. From my perspective, there is a benefit in learning from new technology. Information is distributed much more quickly and students receive the latest up-to-date information. I remember being in a private school growing up and learning from traditional textbooks published 10 years ago. I wondered as a student why I was learning out-of-date material. Fast forward to today, and I find myself appreciating this school's commitment in learning from Internet platforms. Students are issued chrome books which serve as their textbooks for the year. No textbooks are issued. Good or bad? IMO, good. I don't have to worry about my student carrying luggage to school. We just worry about two things. 1) don't lose your chrome book and 2) keep the chrome book functional The downside for some parents is simply my son or daughter is on their chrome book all day. But what is the difference if they are hovering over a textbook or chrome book? There is no negative difference! I know my child is studying. I hear parents complain about the large homework volume, but I don't get this argument. Homework is part of the deal in high school and prepares kids for college or the rigors of the military. After all, high school isn't supposed to be easy. It's supposed to prepare students for what is in front of them - post high school life! My child and MHHS students benefit from "flipped learning." I went to a prominent University in my undergrad years. Professors expect you to have the ability to function on your own -- no hand holding! Papers are submitted online. Assignments are given through class and reiterated through Internet modules. Students communicate with professors in person but largely, by email! Assignments and papers are submitted through -- guess what --- email or an online platform! This is college! MHHS prepares kids for college by forcing them to be independent learners! I love this. I know my child will go through ups and downs, but by the end of high school will be more ready for the everyday common practice of college life. I've heard complaints about teachers not doing much during class time. In the first year, some teachers would refer kids to websites when class questions came up. My child's experience is this happens minimal but I'm sure there may be a percentage of teachers who may not be engaged. My hope is all MHHS teachers are involved in the learning process and infuse enthusiasm in their class. Every class depends on the direction and enthusiasm of their teacher. As a parent, I'm able to track my kids progress through Aeries. Other schools also use Aeries (or equivalent), so MHHS is using an accepted module for parents to stay in tune with their kids grades. Mr. Rexelle's music program is top-notch! They have won awards in competitions the last two years! The sports programs are developing with girls basketball leading the way with its success in the school's first two years. The track and football field is a impressive! This school has gone through growing pains, but I strongly feel the staff in place continues to steer the school in a positive direction. I know many of the teachers and administrators. They are good, caring people. I see this school getting better and better each year. With all the people moving to Mountain House, this school will be the prominent focus of this town.

I was given very detailed information about what the program would entail and was able to see a class in session before enrolling. As my son completes pre-k in a few weeks, I have to give a shout out to Ms. Mayte and the team (especially Ms. Seena and Ms. Miriam) for all they have done for us. My son started the school year pretty shy and apprehensive and has blossomed into a bubbly and social preschooler. It's been an amazing thing to see. The school gives us regular updates throughout the week on the Brightwheel app and anytime I've had any questions or needed some time to chat, I would hear back from his teachers promptly. We get photos through the app as well that are always exciting. Sometimes it's a snap of playtime, a celebration, or completing a milestone and receiving kudos. Along with the basics of letters and numbers, my son has gotten to learn about different cultural holidays and has loved telling us what he's learned. He always seems to be doing a new activity and doing the half day program has definitely been the right choice for our family. Ms. Mayte took the time to really get to know our son and has been instrumental in all areas of his development this year. I can only hope that he will continue to have great teachers for the rest of his academic journey!

The office staff members need to do so much better, they always talk and make others wait for them to quit talking to their coworkers. This schools office staff is horrible, they make students without a parent note get a tardy for no reason, it's only reasonable if you seen them get this thing happening multiple times and your sure that it's on purpose. The only teacher that is atleast not that restrictive about grades is Mr. Wagner. Mr. Wagner only gives a 10% off when late work is finished, so you can receive a 90% at the maximum at least. Other teachers are often horribly strict about late work. Some students struggle to finish class work or homework by its due date, and it's mainly due to learning disability or other problems, teachers need to be aware of that fact, not every kid will be a perfectionist. This school has fights almost every few months, and it's horrible. This school also has horrible teachers who are too strict on homework and grades, they don't even give the student enough time to get some work done, and it'll be supposed to be done by tomorrow. Williams Middle School absolutely sucks, students have been bullied here, and harassed. A student got harassed by a kid in 7th grade, and nobody did anything about it. HORRIBLE. Do not even enroll your child here, this school has big restrictions on a lot of things, unless you want them to be heavily disciplined and discriminated. Mr. Rosales is a racist and transphobic teacher. A student reported that Mr. Rosales has said "If you were born a boy, you're a boy." And said that, "White Mexicans aren't real Mexicans.", Mr. Rosales is always late too, and has low progress in history compared to other students with other teachers. They have a slow progress. Ms. Campbell is too strict, but a good teacher. She may make some stupid decisions on some corrections on a worksheet but it's mostly just grammar she's trying to correct. This school is dissecting artists, and stopping creativity by forcing on a bunch of work at once.
