Carden Academy of Whittier has been an incredible place for our family. What sets this school apart…read moreis its commitment to academic excellence while still nurturing each child as an individual. The teachers truly know their students and invest in both their educational and personal growth. The curriculum is rigorous and prepares students exceptionally well for high school and beyond. At the same time, the school emphasizes character, responsibility, respect, and confidence--qualities that are just as important as academics. Communication with families is excellent, and the administration is approachable, caring, and genuinely dedicated to the success of every student. The campus has a warm, family-like atmosphere where children are encouraged to challenge themselves while feeling supported. If you're looking for a private school that combines strong academics, high expectations, and a caring community, I highly recommend Carden Academy of Whittier. We are grateful to be part of such a special school.

It was important for me that my child was NOT another number, but an individual, with an identity. That my family would be known on a first name basis, and that her school would truly be " a home away form home"! Academics had to be strong, class size had to be small, campus had to be clean and in a nice area. Carden met all of these needs. Carden has helped me raise my daughter into a strong, intelligent young lady. She is more than prepared for her academic future! She carries herself with pride, can communicate well and has huge aspirations for her future..I know this school has a lot to do with all of the above! Thank you Carden!

One of my all-time favorite LA Dodgers players. The speaking engagement was held inside the large church and was well attended by over 100 guests. Mike and his wife, Anne, shared what it was like to be married to a Major League Baseball player, their teenage years, their Catholic faith, the ups and downs, and many great, behind-the-scenes stories in Dodgers and Angels history. The setting was relaxed, fun, and very engaging, with Mike and Anne answering any questions about whatever guests had on their minds. When it was over, Mike and his wife stayed for 45 minutes to meet everyone individually, answer any questions, and sign baseballs, bats, and jerseys. Thank you, St. Bruno, for hosting this very special and memorable event.

The lead singer is so good that you think you're really listening to Bob Seger. He plays all the favorite songs and does them so well. He had a drunker, keyboard, two guitars and himself with the guitar. The sound was fantastic. The song sounded just like the records, and his voice is phenomenal. Food was sold at reasonable prices. I had a burger and some desserts.

When you do an apples to apples comparison by grade to leading schools, our kids perform far above grade level. The school has recently incorporated robotics and a campus wide STEAM program. The Principal is always working to update the technology available to the kids; there are laptops or iPads available to most every student. The performing arts are AMAZING, incorporating the culture of the predominately Latino-Professional school with a music mariachi program, Folklorico dancing program, choir, spring musicals, and fall plays.

This school offers Spanish twice a week but my daughter didn't learn a thing! Some weeks they miss art and music class. This school is clean and has alot of room but volunteering hours are a pain. You are rarely chosen to volunteer for school events so all you are left with is cleaning the school, which is hard labor! If you fail to complete your hours you must pay $20 for school hours and $25 for church hours which totals to $900! Fundraising is another $750 a year. This school is not the best and I would recommend to search for another. Many families get here and leave the following year. The office and principal favors families that have been there for awhile. The stadium is definitely a small stadium as both team fan's sit on the same side. It is an older stadium for sure. During late summer, this is definitely a challenge for several hours as you are facing west which means it will be some time before the sun goes down. I saw spots for a while as a result of inadvertently looking in the direction of the sun on several occasions. Half of the parking lot is reserved for boosters and tailgaters prior to each home game which forces fans to have to look for parking out in the street as soon as the lot is full. Restrooms were clean and centrally located under the bleachers. Food choices avail was extensive as there is something for all but be ready to wait in the long lines 20-30 minutes. All in all, an ok venue to watch high school football. As for me, I will not be in a rush to return any time soon.

The weight room belongs in the past, and the showers are foul--student-athletes shouldn't have to risk using infected, outdated restrooms just to participate in sports. Upgrading isn't optional anymore; every other local school has built modern, state-of-the-art training spaces while St. Paul hides behind "tradition" as an excuse for laziness. Then leadership acts shocked when athletic programs start slipping. Sinking capital into theater while letting basic gym infrastructure collapse is financial incompetence. A real, high-level gym facility would have paid for itself through community events and program growth. Instead, money is mismanaged, facilities are neglected, and parents are fed up with paying top price for zero return. Absolute shame. Something is up !!! For anyone that cares - Have you seen the restrooms? What about the weight room?
