I moved my 89 year old mother to The Timbers from another facility to improve her quality of care…read more I only wish I would have chosen The Timbers the first time around. Mom admitted with moderate to advanced dementia and severe pressure wounds to her feet. Her foot injuries were a result of factory-like care (or lack of) at the previous facility. Mom is now in the memory care Cottage at The Timbers. I can't say enough about their management and staff in regards to the professional and compassionate level of care mom is receiving there. They really know how to help and care for residents with dementia and comorbidities. The transfer of knowledge and handoff between shifts is so important and so well done. I've been there several times when the nurses were changing shifts and there was great communication going on. I've seen nursing assistants go room to room updating the new shift on resident care concerns or changes. All are pleasant and amazing caregivers. The Timbers has a strong management team that is very willing to work with you to ensure the best care plan possible to meet the needs of residents and their families. Timbers also does a wonderful job with transportation, laundry, housekeeping and activities. The facility may not be as new and sprawling as some of the other options in the area, but it is cheery and comfortable, especially in the Cottage. Mom may possibly experience end-of-life at the Timbers and I'm very grateful we found a place we can trust with the time she has left.

I have used Qualicare for a period of approximately 2 years. Their office staff/owners is…read moreunsympathetic to the plight of their clients. I was discharged from services due to cancelling weekly services. The cancellations were due to father being hospitalized 4 times, my mother 4 times, her passing and funeral, my best friend dies, I was hospitalized, my husband had 3 major surgeries, my oldest brother had a stroke, my youngest brother had suspected TIA's and hospitalized twice. Many other family and friends passing as well. My granddaughter having a new baby August 1 and then had to have her gallbladder removed. Life happens and they didn't care. This has been a bad year and I had legitimate reasons for cancelling services. Too bad, I guess. There are many more reasons I only give them one star. They have a worker that I requested to never be sent to my home as she had worked for me before. They sent her anyways. Then they reported I didn't want my Monday person. Hmmmm... They failed to comply with my request! Qualicare needs to realize they work for their clients not the other way around. I absolutely would not recommend them.
