There seem to be frequent handoffs among staff--whether during lunch breaks or shift changes. At times, the incoming nurses or technicians did not appear to be fully briefed on the patient's situation. This sometimes resulted in staff entering the room without a clear understanding of what had already occurred or what the next steps in care were. Because my grandmother is nearly 90 years old, this lack of seamless communication has been concerning. There were moments when it felt like a mistake could easily happen simply because information was not clearly passed along. While the staff have generally been kind and attentive, improving closed-loop communication during handoffs could help ensure continuity of care and provide families with greater confidence in the process.

I am not complaining because I take a cardio walk a few times a week. So I will log this in. Enough of this cardio walk stuff. When I got there, I had to go to a door with a door bell. I did a ring. A bit later a tech came to get me. I felt glad it was a familiar face because just a bit ago my husband had to complete the same test. It was just like completing a review. I am happy that I get the same test. It is very easy. It is very small and compact. It is a few small pieces to put on plus a watch device. The instructions was much easier than finding the place. The tech name was Danielle. If you get her, she will make you laugh. I enjoyed her very much.

Nurses have bedside matter. Doctors are very informative. We are not left in the dark. I trust they will take good care of my husband. So far they are very attentive. I recommend coming in the morning or very early in morning. It is more stress free. If you have a smartphone, you can do registration on your smartphone or tablet. It helps keep patients from getting disturbed especially if they are unwell. I completed it for him so he can get focused on just getting care for. It is not fancy hospital but a great one for less stress.

My bed had to be hand cranked and it squeaked loudly when moved. People would pop in and then be pulled away to do something else. Someone else would show up sometime later and not know what had been done. Someone figured out that my vitals were never done when I arrived in the OR. Oh, and one of the OR staff thought I was there for a different procedure. My ID was not pt on me until after pre OP process was over. They couldn't find most of my records, including tests done specifically for the procedure. AND didn't let that bother them. The surgeon sent a prescription to a pharmacy in another city that he claimed was in my file.

Bare necessities that become home to the many individuals needing support or the comfort of proximity while staying in the hospital or with a loved one there. This is like a "Ronald McDonald" house provided by the hospital service. The facility has 24 hour staff on site with security who also provide transportation services to the hospital walking distance away. There is a massive food preparation area with six separate and equally functioning prep stations including everything yould need to make a meal. Various volunteer and charitable organizations donate time, energy, food and supplies to the Tree House and others come in to cook meals for all tenants available to come. Their service is unforgettable. The facility has a full laundry, a library and media area and for the children there is a fun toy and play area. The staff is great. The setup is appropriate and very generous. The many charities that come are wonderful. This is one of the hidden treasures that a thoughtful service provider has created.

VM should make it their mission to teach respective care, demand it and make it part of your mission.
