This is not an in and out kind of church, this is a church that wants to involve everyone and make everyone feel known. This church is known for the outreach they do in the community, truly practicing what they preach. This is the church you're looking for if you're looking for raw, messy, true faith. It's not a feel good place, but one will talk about the real issues that we all relate to and need grace for. Everyone here will make you feel welcomed no matter what background you come from.

In the choir, there is a rare voice that brings me to the gates of heaven. Listen very carefully and you will hear him. Very few are blessed with an angelic grace. It's as though he is a vessel used by our Lord. I often wonder what kind of religious practice he has, does he pray a lot, has he done reparation for his sins, has he gone through a purification? I wonder a lot about how he above all was chosen. Is he a Saint? I'm so happy he is blessed. He showers your gifts upon us all. Thank you Lord.

There are 4 mass schedule on weekdays, 4 mass schedules on Saturdays and 8 mass schedules on Sundays which gives the faithful options. The grounds are very well maintained. They let the audience stand and tolerate their terrible voices and LOUD music for a long period of time. We come to church to worship God, not to tolerate their loud noise of so called music. It appears that the same group of female singers lead the group most of the time. Their voices are terrible and also very annoying. If these ladies like to perform, please go to find some other places to do it. Please don't do it in church and make the audience suffer from their terrible voices.

Went to SJ checked out a few then found redemption Here I am able to apply the preaching to my life. I truly learned and understood the meaning of the holly spirt how it lives in me and teaches me. I also learned understand speaking in tongues. When I was going through the hardest time of my Life in and out of the hospital with anxiety the sermons were on point and help guide me with using the keys of the kingdom. In 2015 we moved out from the bay area, but everytime we visit bay area my family always come to this church now called "Redemption" I see few concerns with the reviews are about volume of instruments were so loud. We noticed that also, sometimes it's hard to hear the lyrics of the song. My concern is like this, Growing up as a child going to Pentecostal church "speaking in tongue" is not new to me. My first experienced speaking in tongue when I was 12years old it was during a revival night in our church. I also witness pastor Ron speaking in tongue during his sermon. In two sundays not consecutive when I genuinely worship and praised God I was moved with the "holy spirit" and received the gift and started speaking in tongue. Suddenly, I was distracted from my concentrated worship when someone was holding my hands! When I opened my eyes there were like 4-5 people grabbing me and want to bring me somewhere in a small room. I was like, what is going on? I was totally distracted and surprised. One of them keep asking me are you okay? Over and over! Are you scared of the music because it was loud? I was like are these people know what they are doing? I was totally disappointed, my genuine worship to God was stopped. Do these people experience receiving the holy spirit through speaking in tongue? The young pastor keeps talking about holy spirit! But my question is are those people that grabbing me and bring me somewhere are knowledgeable about speaking in tongue and holy spirit? In our church where my family moved to this is normal. The assembly of God, because everyone new and totally understood what the holy spirit can do! I am not doing it on my own, it was the power of God that touched me. This happened last Sunday July 19, 2026. After the serviced my husband was really disappointed of what he was witnessed. Now I am worried, when I come back to this church do I have to hold my prayer, my tears during worship because I am sure those people are going to grab me again! I pray to God that those people will not be ignorant to God's power. They should know the word of God in Acts 2:4, I Corinthians 14:2, and Jude 1:20 Experiencing and receiving the power of the holy spirit is not from my own knowledge, it's God's power that touched me. Hoping and praying that everyone can experience the power of the holy spirit. I pray that they welcome holy spirit in their lives.

I grew up in another church and even though I went there since I was a baby to high school, I never felt like I knew the people around me and that it was hard to form deep friendships. What I appreciate and love about SVCA is the fact that everyone is so welcoming and caring and the English ministry interacts with the Chinese ministry. In most Asian churches I feel like the English ministry is completely separate, but at SVCA the youth and young adults also have Sundays that they combine with the Chinese congregation which is such an awesome way to promote church unity! SVCA also does such an amazing job sending out the young adult group to Missions. The church's heart, vision, and support through finances and prayer is refreshing and also has allowed me to truly experience what it is like to have an entire church actively supporting and praying for you! Although most church services may only be 1-1.5 hrs long where you pop in and pop out in convenience and be late and think it doesn't really matter anyways since you don't know anyone, you may be surprised on your first Sunday service visit which runs longer (9:30am-12pm). BUT, if you want to experience a church where you definitely can have the time to meet and talk to people AND eat lunch together, then definitely check SVCA out :)

It is amazing!!!It looks modern inside, there are separate rooms for children's Ministry, there are rooms used for the youth Ministry or campus activities. Big congrats to all the doing-good projects that have been making waves in the local community and are continuing to do so. My family and I personally love the family and faith that we have built over the years, it's life changing and I am looking forward to more memories in our new building!
