But, this school ruined my senior year athletic-wise. Something i will NEVER get back. Wish i would of transferred when i had the chance in my junior year. But it is what it is. I would definitely recommend just going to public school because your pretty much getting the same education. AND IF THIS POST IS DELETED, I WILL CONTINUE POSTING IT.

Taylor is extremely talented in the fine arts she loves to draw. While my friends were sending their kids to test prep for High School entrance exams. I was searching for the perfect Art Studio and Mentor for my daughter to build her portfolio. Once her pieces were completed she then applied to her top 3 NYC DOE Specialty High Schools. Her 1st choice High School of Art & Design, 2nd Frank Sinatra & her 3rd choice was Laguardia High School. In March! We wouldn't know if she got in until mid June. In the meantime we applied to Saint Frances Preparatory School AP Art Honors Program with the same portfolio and she got accepted! I knew she was safe for her back up High School if she wasn't accepted. I have to say finding Rob Zeller at The Teaching Studios of Art was the best thing I ever did for Taylor. He helped her focus and taught her the techniques she needed to fine tune her portfolio. For her Still Life piece throughout the entire process from the Pencil Sketch to transforming it into the most amazing oil painting. On June 8th we were going to find out if she got accepted to one of her 3 choices. My husband and I were in suspense with Taylor as we were checking to see if she got in. I was an amazing feeling seeing that she got accepted to a Specialty High School in NYC. But, she got into her first choice High School of Art & Design in Manhattan! Honestly, if it wasn't for Robert Zeller and his Art Studio in The Village of Oyster Bay, who could say more! I don't know where we would be. We signed up for the In Person Private Art Classes. She had 1 on 1 teaching and loved being their to paint. I am extremely grateful that I found The Teaching Studios and proud of all that Taylor was accomplish with Rob by her side. I can't wait for them to start working on her college portfolio for The School of Visual Arts! I know she will get in with Rob as her Mentor. Thank you. Personally, I have been taking classes here for number of years and am now in the Figurative Core Program. This traditional in-depth art program builds on drawing skills to move onto painting. Not only are we fine honing our abilities, Rob is also mentoring our personal projects and guiding us into being able to work independently.

I hired Happy Little Brush Strokes as a painting activity for a bachelorette party, and the company was so easy to work with from start to finish. I reserved my date several months in advance because their calendar fills up quickly! You're able to choose one of the paintings from their website and adapt it to what you need. I chose to paint full-sized wine bottles (and place fairy lights inside of the bottle so it lights up!) since the bachelorette party was "wine themed." The price was $30 per person for the experience. I believe if you choose to paint a canvas, it's $25 per person. Happy Little Brush Strokes came all the way out to Greenport, Long Island to do this activity. The instructor, Bob, was an absolute delight, who was filled with so much positive energy! He provided everything we needed for the event (paint, brushes, water cups, the wine bottles, fairy lights). The only thing we needed to provide were tables, table cloths, and chairs for our group of 7. The experience took just over two hours, and everyone had an amazing time!

They are right next to Once Upon a Stuffie a very special store about their stuffed animals. Many handmade items and unique things to buy. I met Laura the owner and I purchased a small paper roll hand made Ancor which is just one tiny thing of the great variety of items there. (see pix) The front has a bee hive statue design noting Hive Market next to a bench out side. Items of hand made beautiful baby slippers by LICreated/Theresa Wasserman. In the back room wonderful patriotic pictures and a Wall of Heros. Check Days and Hours. Much to see, a place to stop in and find the right items for purchase or gifts.
