The doctor was very good, but it was the nursing staff that truly amazed us. Their attentiveness, kindness, and constant concern for my wife communicated one clear message: "We care about you." You can teach procedures, but you cannot fake compassion. These nurses showed both professionalism and heart, and during a difficult moment for us, that meant everything.

Took their sweet time doing anything while i was there to. Racked a bill with unnecessary tests. One doctor told me i was over exaggerating my pain and i was just there for drugs. The 2 nurses that initially took care of her acted like we were bothering them, barely spoke and didn't appear to know anything going on. Couldn't get a line in to draw labs, ended up blowing one vein before having to try 2 more times. Didn't know what meds were given so couldn't answer any questions about how to take meds prescribed for home use. Pregnant nurse physically yanked the EKG leads off my wife, pulling some pads but leaving most. When you're already in pain, even a seemingly easy pull on things can cause pain. Doctor never came past the foot of the bed or touched my wife to see what could be going on. We were in for what she described as immense pain in her chest muscles, doctors call...lets take an x-ray. Since when can you see muscle injuries on a normal x-ray? Even the x-ray tech questioned that but did it anyway. We got more assistance with the meds from CVS than anyone at the hospital. They forget that while they might see things over and over all day long, there are people that haven't had to deal with things before and can be scared or concerned, treat everyone as if they were your loved one dang it. I sure hope that nurses baby gets compassion from someone cause she sure didn't appear to have any.

Something has changed at the lab at Georgetown Community Hospital. For the last 3 years I have…read moregotten labs there every 6 months. I don't know what has changed in the last 6 months but it has not been for the better. It took a while for them to input my labs and it took two of them to find, not all the lab names were the same as my doctor ordered, they no longer appear in my chart and no one can tell me why, one of my labs had to be sent out and it's been almost a week and its still not back. It has never taken this long! My husband had an MRI on his arm and the radiologist missed he had a torn bicep. Luckily he had a good ortho and he caught it when he looked at the MRI. I will no longer be going to Georgetown Hospital. If I need ER services I will use the new Baptist Health ER they are building or I will drive to Lexington. I've given them plenty of chances over the last 5 years and this year they have blown it for our family. I will not accept subpar care or customer service!

The wait time wasn't long with…read morean appointment, and the staff were very friendly; although, I encountered at least four of them who were wearing WAYYYY too much perfume. (I would think there would be a policy against that, since sick people are pretty sensitive to that kind of thing). I was sneezing all the way to the exam room. The doctor was extremely hospitable, and looked into my eyes when speaking with me, instead of down at a computer or clipboard. He even told me of his personal health journey and familial experiences. I felt like a person he cared about, and not just patient number 846677. I plan to stick with this hospital for my primary care and specialized care for the foreseeable future.

No labs, no imaging they just sent me home with laxatives telling me it was just constipation (even though I was having no issues going) I went in a month later still swollen and in pain, again "just constipation" 3 weeks later I came in vomitting blood, they finally did actual medical work and I had a hgb of 4.3, ended up in ICU. 15lbs of fluid drained from my stomach, 7 blood transfusions, 17 bleeding varices banded in my esophagus. Turns out that constipation was end stage cirrhosis caused by autoimmune diseases. I almost died. Ive been admitted here several times since and everytime is a nightmare (im not going by choice, its just distance) I ended up with Steven's Johnson syndrome painful blisters all over my body and I asked for pain relief (one time and calmly) the dr came in and said "your pain isn't my problem" I was waiting to be transferred to icu. Another visit for a GI bleed and uncontrollably vomitting and intense pain. I again asked politely and one time for pain relief. The dr opened my door, stood in the door way and YELLED at me "im not giving you narcotics!!!" Accused me of drug seeking even though he seemed to be the one out on control and unhinged. Another visit a nurse yelled at me and slammed her hand on the desk bc I asked for promethazine instead of zofran bc the zofran wasn't working. It was ordered for me, she just didnt want to have to dilute it. I was never a drinker and ive never done drugs. Im merely trying to survive this horrible disease while waiting on a transplant. The drs and nurses here are incompetent, violent and reckless. They dont care. If you are a health care worker you should be aware of the fact that you are caring for patients who are going through the scariest times of their lives. I now have medical ptsd. As long as I am stable enough to go further I will never, never willingly go to any st. Elizabeth hospital again. Do not send your loved ones here, I cant say Cincinnati is tons better but it sure beats St. Hellizabeth.

The neurosurgeon was the only competent person I saw. There has only been 7 cases of her injury ever survive. That is EVER in the history of the record keeping. pe do have to learn somewhere but all the did was play games with there iPhones Her bill was $386,000 dollars. I told them to stick it. On September 7, 2024, I was a victim of an active shooter on interstate 75 near London, Kentucky…read more I was taken by helicopter to the UK heath care Albert B. Chandler hospital. My care there with only one exception was fantastic. The trauma team, emergency department, nurses, technicians therapists, dietary and housekeeping personnel were all friendly, conscientious and great at their jobs. One nurse named Barbara who worked on discharge planning, was the only exception to my excellent care. Barbara works a nursing job that does not provide bedside care. She was going over her discharge plans for me. I have a bullet hole in my left upper thigh. I cannot see this wound directly. While in the hospital, one physician and several nurses packed this wound with saline soaked gauze. These people are trained to pack the wound. They were standing behind me and using TWO HANDS to pack this wound. "Nurse" Barbara's solution for acceptable home wound care was to have me hold a mirror in one hand and use the other hand to pack the wound. As stated earlier, trained doctors and nurses require TWO hands to safely accomplish this task to maintain sterility. Preventing infection is paramount in this situation. In the weeks since my discharge, my opinion of "Nurse" Barbara is that she is out of touch with good patient education. I also believe she is lazy and did not want to take the time to help set up out of state discharge care. The name of my primary care physician in Indiana was well documented on my chart. One phone call to Indiana would have alerted my doctor that I needed additional care. Shame on this nurse for being so negligent.

When I met Tedroy, I mentioned that I have a niece applying to medical school (or residency, I'm not sure how it works). With his permission, I gave my niece Tedroy's social media account, LinkedIn maybe, and the two connected. I thought everything was ok until I recently spoke with my niece. Over the course of a month, Tedroy Jackson lorded his position as a resident over my niece. He demanded her attention and would threaten her application if she hesitated. Unfortunately, my niece does not want to bring this matter to the attention of the hospital out of fear that it would affect her application. So, I am asking that someone interject and control Dr. Tedroy Jackson. His actions are unprofessional and threatening. I expect more from those who represent the name of Christ.
