Decided to try this small fried chicken place. The menu isn't big, fried chicken, nugget, salads…read moreand chicken burger. It's like a glorified pfk. The place is very small, there's 4 table for 4 persons and 2 bar style section where you sit on a stool for about 6 persons. Staff blast personal music through a Bluetooth speaker. When I arrived, the cashier had airpod in his ear while taking order and had trouble understanding people order. He finally removed them after some patrons but he shouldn't have them to begin with. Order take from 5 to 10 minutes to arrived. So it's not fast food as you order and you have it, but it's not table service either. It is not cheap. I was thinking it would cost less. A chicken burker 16$, drink and fries 4.50, poutine instead of fries 4$. 4 chicken strip with buns, 2 sauce and fries, 20$. Total of 50$ with taxes. No I didn't leave any tips, it's not table service or delivery. Staff was nice. As for the food. The chicken mozzarella burger. Big thick chicken with a good chunk of mozzarella. Really good chunk of cheese. But the chicken is as smooshy, not a great feeling. But it's a big burger. As for the poutine, it's also a big good plate, lots of sauce. I suggest starting with it unless you like saugy fries. We found the sauce and fries salt leaking, making it a milder poutine with a sub taste. The hot cheestos chicken tender were very thin. Red hot is suppose to be hot, I think it's the regular tender but in red hot batter or something. Wasn't hot for me. I too the spicy sauce and crusty. The tender wasn't really tender, again squeeshy and felt like left over chicken from 2 days ago. Didn't felt fresh. Regular normal sauce, nothing out of the ordinary. Came with a coleslaw that were also blend. This place remind me of jack le coq. In the end, I won't be coming back. I wish we had a chicken guy, it's so much better.

Decided to change up my chicken joint because I was getting fed up of the other one and you know…read morewhich one I'm talking about.. I saw lots of amazing reviews on google so I decided ok let's try it! Service: 5++++Super friendly very caring and they really care about pleasing their customers. It is a bit of a long wait to get the order! They do everything on order so it takes time to get stuff cooked up but trust me it's worth the wait it's amazing ! At least you know it's FRESH! Food: 5****++++++++++++*+*+++++/5 one of the best if not THE BEST CHICKEN sandwiches I've ever had! In all honesty their chicken was amazing super juicy inside and extremely crispy and light on the out! It was out of this world ! This place is by far the best wayy better than their competitor next door! It definitely needs way more credit it's just that good! The chicken tenders were so juicy inside and crispy crunchy light on the outside wow! I loved the fries they were crispy but still filled inside usually fries have nothing inside these were thick cut french fries that was extremely delicious. The onion rings were good but the STAR was the chicken.. the condiments need a bit of work like their sauce and slaw is a bit bland but f*k it I'm all jn on their chicken!!!! Everything was fresh and made on the spot ! Overall, HUGE HUGE HIT I WILL COME HERE IN A HEARTBEAT ANYDAY !! Definitely worth trying you just have to you won't be disappointed

I'm a die hard fan of Jack flat bbq since it's opening. But with the new menu, many thing change…read more The first thing you'll notice in that new menu is the daily special? Gone. . No more wonderful steak Philly on the Friday. Most of what was offered on that daily menu is permanently gone. They added many different poutine that actually existed before but part of a secret menu you could learn from their social network page. Some starter too. They change the recipe of some of the food. The Mac N cheese is now more creamier and the cheese is more present and flavourful. I never had it by itself, but in the poutine Mac TeX, it's a miss for me. It used to be the poutine I always take when I go there, poutine Mac TeX. Tried it 4 times already since the switch, always the same and I don't like it unfortunately. Maybe others don't. From the post they made on Instagram stating that it was now creamier due to popular demand, I guess that's how people like it. But I think people was taking it by itself and not into a poutine (I never see much people eating a mac te when I'm there). Also the new Mac N cheese on the Mac TeX make it you taste nothing except the creamy liquid cheese from the Mac N cheese, nothing else. I normally add the homemade steak sauce available on the table in the poutine and when I tried it with the new recipe, it wasn't good. I also trie the dirty Poutine. I totally forgot what it is. There's like 2 sauce, I think it's meat sauce? Sorry I really forget. It was good, but about half way through, I was done with the taste just like the current Mac TeX. I still finished it though. Again, it's not bad, everyone has different taste and I started by liking it. I had the same experience when eating the smashburger poutine after eating a smash burger. Don't do it, take either one, not both unless your really into the taste of smashburger cause that's the only thing you taste. Last time I went, I took again the smashburger double cheese and bacon, a must for me, and I took a regular poutine. First time in what, 2 years and at least 30 visit that I take the regular one. It was good. I do miss my og Mac TeX but it's a good replacement. The bonus is it cost about 10$ less and fill less, so I was able to take something off the desert menu for the first time. I toon the chocolate cake and it was very good. The service is always good when I go there. It might be a bit a miss when it's overbooked specially if your table is hidden In a corner (happened a bit in the past). The only reason I bring from 5 to 4 stars is only because I prefered the old menu and old recipe. I did talk to a staff last time about the Mac TeX recipe and was told sometime it's because of new chef. I guess he wasn't aware that the recipe actually change, he did seemed new since I hadn't seen him before. I'll talk to jack or one of the owner last time, not to bad mouth, simply to have feedback from customer on the menu.

No visit to Montreal is without it's St-Hubert visit…read more Ordered my usually, Rorisserie chicken leg with salade aux choux (coleslaw) et frite with LOADS of that special sauce. Hadn't gone in person in a minute so having unlimited amounts of that special sauce was so nice. Being super sleep-deprived, had a lovely coffee from their coffee machine. We came pretty late, near their closing time, so not many patrons. Overall great experience. I will always return!

The St-Hubert resto chain is a now well-known Quebec institution that has progressively taken over…read morethe province, block by block. Ask any French Canadian what they think of it and you'll most likely find yourself asking a silly question to a huge St-Hubert fan. Those that have been here for generations consider this place sacred. But are they misguided in thinking so? It is a chain after all... I think not. For a chain, St-Hubert impresses and more importantly delivers consistently solid meals. They have their menu down to a tee. Obviously, this rotisserie specializes in chicken and thus you should obviously order chicken but they have a decent variety of things you can try...thought I never have because let's be honest... when I eat at a rotisserie known for its chicken, I absolutely want their chicken. In my experience, their chicken breast is very good, their chicken thighs even better though I'd avoid their chicken tenders, at least from this specific place since they are somewhat small and from my sole experience ordering these tenders... over-cooked. OUTRAGE! I even had their chicken salad once and it was pretty good as well. The fries are consistently good, the gravy is solid and the creamy coleslaw quite excellent. All for very economical prices that are pretty hard to beat. Service when ordering is always efficient and quick, Now their food can be ordered online... which is a huge plus for me. Deliveries are so quick that it actually impresses me, considering the quality of the food received in no way shape or form loses any value compared to ordering from within the resto. All in all, a solid place to get your chicken from.
