I was seated right away. The place looks super chic. I liked the wood decor. They have music playing in the background. Some days there are DJs in house. I ordered the lakay bob cocktail. Drink was strong. I tasted that alcohol immediately. For my meal, I tried the Jamaican oxtail patty and of course, banann ak morue!!! It's been a minute since I've had this meal so I was excited. The patty was amazing. The dough was light and fluffy. The oxtail was flavorful and blended well. I didnt too much care for the ketchup sauce. Glad it came on the side. The morue was not as expected. It was good overall but I feel like there were more peppers onions than the actual morue. Nice little place to dine with plenty to do around the area. Pooh and I loved our drinks but for the price there should have been more alcohol and less ice. Marie wasn't crazy about her drink. She thought it was more like a cherry juice drink We shared the Calamari platter which was piping hot and had a delicious dipping sauce which Marie kept for her fries. For our main meal I ordered their Fried Chicken Salad. Pooh ordered Apollo à la Brasa, and Marie had Lobster Roll with fries and salad. I liked my salad but since it was "fried chicken " I thought the chicken would be hot. It was just warm so the skin wasn't crispy; more loose like sagging skin. Pooh loved his dish but it was a tad salty and greasy. Marie loved everything. Each of us had a Brazilian coffee which was delicious. After we shared an order of their Beignets. These beignets were huge and came with two dipping sauces: caramel and whipped Nutella. Potatoes were limp and bland. - Pears, Bacon and Maple Salted Caramel Waffles: Not good. Pears weren't ripe, so a bit hard. Bacon was limp - just cooked with no flavour or crispness. Waffles were also soggy. I'm just glad it wasn't overly sweet. - Bagel & Lox: OK. Since this is an assembled plate, and nothing really to prepare other than a toasted bagel. It was probably the best plate of the three. Service was nice enough. No issues came up. Overall, disappointing food. I had expected that a chain with multiple locations across Canada might have something good or unique to offer. It didn't. It's basically a slightly better version of Denny's or IHOP - but not much better.

I felt the prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. My only criticism is the restaurant definitely needs some updating and I mean only some touchup paint, fix a few lightbulbs and the place would look a lot more vibrant.
