THIS SCHOOL DESERVES NO STARS, IT'S HORRIBLE AND NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN!…read more If you enjoy drama and disorganization, this may be the school for you. If you're looking for a quality education and a supportive learning environment, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. My experience at Fortis was extremely disappointing. Attending this school caused me significant emotional, financial, and physical stress during what was already a high-risk pregnancy. The program's strict attendance requirements made it nearly impossible to maintain employment, leaving me with financial hardship. While the school claimed to offer assistance, I did not find the support to be meaningful or helpful. Throughout my time in the program, I witnessed teachers speaking disrespectfully to students without any apparent consequences. In my experience, certain students appeared to receive preferential treatment. They were allowed to engage in behaviors such as using their phones during class, disrupting lectures, drinking beverages in class, and, from what I observed, cheating on tests without being held accountable. Meanwhile, students who raised concerns or reacted to ongoing issues were often treated as the problem. I repeatedly reported concerns to Christine Eason and the Dean, believing appropriate action would be taken. Instead, I felt my concerns were ignored, and I saw little to no resolution. As a pregnant student, I felt targeted by both staff and other students. I experienced repeated criticism, ridicule, and behavior that created what I felt was an unsafe and stressful learning environment. Despite being told these issues would be addressed, I did not see meaningful action taken. I was ultimately removed from the program without warning while my complaints were still under review. From my perspective, the school failed to protect me from ongoing harassment and instead expected me to continue ignoring the behavior. The classroom environment was frequently disruptive, making it difficult to learn. Loud interruptions and disrespectful conduct often went unchecked. Many students expressed frustration with the quality of instruction and felt unprepared during externships. One staff member who consistently treated students with kindness and professionalism was Mr. Campbell. He was one of the few people who genuinely seemed to care about student success, and I appreciate his support. I was also disappointed by the school's maternity leave policies. Recovering from childbirth takes time, yet the attendance policy made it extremely difficult to maintain enrollment. Missing more than 14 days, whether in person or online, could result in being dropped from the program, creating additional stress during an already challenging time. Overall, my experience at Fortis was overwhelmingly negative. The school fell short in providing a respectful, supportive, and effective educational environment for everyone. I DON'T recommend this school to anyone. If you're considering enrolling, I encourage you to research the program thoroughly, speak with current and former students from here, and carefully weigh your options before investing your time, money, and education. THIS WAS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. THANKS FOR NOT PROVIDING AN EDUCATION TO ME!

I have to agree with the previous review, and more…read more After waiting 30 minutes for "setup" which consisted of up to 10 individuals walking back and forth talking about personal life, we advised them that we needed to leave in an hour. We were then asked "well do you even want to do this?" We relied, yes we do, we just have a time limit so we will forego our manicure portion of the Groupon. During this time, another student came to the counter complaining about a ticket she was given, "I don't do kids." My friend's daughter, who we brought with us for her first pedicure, was the only child in the establishment. We were finally taken back to the chairs. A very poor pedicure with no foot massage, minimal debridement of of callus surfaces, no buffing, cleaning or shaping of the nails was performed and no cuticle care was performed until I asked specifically (this was meant with eye rolling and a search for the required equipment which was the excuse we were given for the 30 minute "setup"). After a nail painting job my 7 year old son could have done better, I was told, "all done". My sandals were on the floor and no effort was made to hand them to me, much less put them on. I was not offered a drying option despite the fact that my companions were both under the dryers. This is a very similar service to my companion. Interestingly, her daughter, for whom we paid for services, received excellent care and has a pedicure that I envy. Sheila was fantastic with her daughter. Nicole and the tech who did my companion's nails received no supervisor or feedback from any supervisor the entire time we were being serviced. I believe this is required for a teaching institution. Nicole specifically stated she had only been in that school for 5 weeks. This leaves much to be desired if you are planning to attend this institution. In addition, I have a call in to the State Licensing Board to question the supervision requirements for students. I believe you have to have at least a cursory review of the services provided, and I can guarantee that this was not done on anyone in our party. If it had, the childish and laughable pedicures would never have been allowed. I called and spoke the the direction who stated they cannot do refunds, and I would need to request a refund for both Groupons through Groupon. Not a very savvy customer service gesture at all Billie. My recommendation is don't, just don't.
