As a parent, I'm extremely disappointed with our experience at Fleming Island High School. I…read moreenrolled my child expecting a safe, organized, and supportive learning environment, but unfortunately, that hasn't been our reality. There seems to be a serious lack of organization and communication. Important information is often unclear or shared last minute, leaving both students and parents confused. It doesn't feel like the administration has everything together, and that creates unnecessary stress for the kids. The staff, while some may mean well, often come across as unapproachable or dismissive when concerns are brought up. As a parent, that's incredibly frustrating because we trust schools to partner with us in supporting our children. The student environment is also concerning. My child has expressed feeling unsupported and uncomfortable at times, and I worry about the overall culture and supervision on campus. School should be a place where students feel safe, encouraged, and motivated to succeed not overwhelmed or unheard. I truly hope the administration takes parent concerns seriously and works toward improving organization, communication, and overall student support. Our children deserve better.
