The preaching by Pastor Lee Eclov is founded in Scripture as he takes you through God's word verse by verse. They are associated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. They have many students from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School who attend, and add a unique feel to the church. The church has all age groups, however, and a wonderful God-honoring spirit exists here.

My wife and I experienced this from the minute we walked in the door. This church has all ages in attendance and they are serious believers but yet they know how to have fun as well. The Pastors have great senses of humor and make us laugh often. I encourage everyone who reads this review to give this congregation a visit. They are a blessing!!! Real people, with real issues, just looking to be there for one another. They get out of the "holy" huddle often and actually go into the community to do the work of G-d. Who doesn't love hanging out in the house of Big J and G money?…read more I am not catholic, so I hope I do not offend anyone with those remarks. Although I did spend 4 hellish years in Catholic High School, so I feel I am good in their books. Anywho, one of my best friends had his wedding ceremony here last weekend. I've driven by St. Peter's a few times in my day and per most churches figured it'd look just like all the others on the inside. Well, I was correct. It got very warm inside during the ceremony and being in a tux did not help. The church has lots of beautiful stained glass and is big enough to suite what I believe is a modest congregation. The grounds are nice. Grass is very soft. There is decent park, but it's mostly street parking. The pastor did not have much of a personality, but I don't think that's a requirement for his job. All in all, a-ok.

There isn't much to say about a church but I do know there are three things to expand on when speaking about SMLC.. 1) the congregation is extremely welcoming, 2) the pastors are very nice and always open to speak about anything and everything and 3) the surroundings and ambience is very comforting and you always feel welcomed. Being someone who doesn't attend church every single Sunday, I am starting to attend much more because of SMLC and because I feel so welcomed. For anyone looking for a new church, looking to attend church more often or recently moved here, SMLC is always welcoming new members, new and old so don't be afraid to stop in on Sunday and say hi (and amen as well).
