We feel such great comfort in knowing that our daughter will be treated like one of their own and will be safe at all times. We transferred from another daycare due to not feeling this same sense of comfort there. We have also seen such tremendous growth in all areas of development and I really think this is a testament to the Montessori style of learning and the school overall. The class ratios are also small, meaning more attention and personalization for each student. As a self proclaimed helicopter parent, I was surprised at how much ease I felt with her starting a new school. I also feel heard every time I bring something up to a teacher or Sadhana that we have been trying at home or with occupational therapy. The wonderful staff is led by the Director, Ms. Sadhana Arun, who is a smart, loving woman who really understands and implements the Montessori philosophy beautifully. My first clue that this was a supportive and welcoming place was watching all the children race up and hug Ms. Sadhana as each one left for home in the afternoon. The teachers know all the children's names and because all the rooms are mixed age, there is an amazing sense of community among all the children who attend, that I haven't seen at any other pre-school/daycare. Our daughter blossomed at Hilliard Montessori. She gained amazing self-confidence, as well as math, science, and reading skills. She also developed a strong sense of her own ability to affect positive change in the world around her. I also appreciated the diversity of both the teaching staff and the families who attend the school. There are so many cultures, languages, and backgrounds represented. The family potlucks and celebrations were like world travel, without leaving home. My only regret is that my daughter has now aged out of their program and she can't continue to be a daily member of this loving community and learn from such amazing teachers. No pictures or updates on child throughout the day or even week you get class update email on Fridays (one pager with 2-3 pics total) Masks were required for all kids '21-'22 school year while most preschools and daycares were flexible. No food options provided. Very hectic pickup/drop off with a line up taking up to 20mins each time. Parents not allowed inside. They make child sit in principal office and not take part in activity/playground if he/she doesn't comply (time out or punishment is not Montessori philosophy) Most reviews and word of mouth in the area speaks to itself for this school (I had heard rigid, too strict, not flexible, not diverse but I still took the chance due to proximity and being the only Montessori within 10mile radius). They do have some teacher turnover, but unfortunately that happens at every single daycare. When it does happen, it's been communicated to us and a replacement is there almost immediately. I feel very comfortable leaving our little girl there. She really enjoys it and is starting to really bond with her teachers. I've never doubted the level of care or compassion each of the teachers has displayed. They've helped me along as a first time mom on what sorts of things to bring in and when. They don't bat an eye when I've asked silly questions or when we have forgotten spare clothes for the second day. I honestly can't say enough nice things about them.

To be clear ahead, my poor experience was with the administrative staff and not with an enrolled…read morechild. I scheduled a tour online and called to confirm relevant information. The staff member who I spoke to on the phone stated (and insisted) that the school does not require vaccines "because that is not permitted by law" and that simply an e-mail would be enough of a waiver, not even a dictor's notice. This is false in many instances. First, according to Guidepost Montessori Parent Handbook, "Guidepost requires that all enrolled students be vaccinated in accordance with the recommended state schedule.". Lastly, private daycares are allowed by law to enforce vaccine requirements and even be more atruct than government requirements, and a quick google search could have prevented this staff member from spreading misinformation. It is very concerning that staff will misinform potential customers and also clearly state the unit does not follow the franchise's handbook.
