The front desk was not very helpful from the beginning. After waiting 45 minutes with one other person in the waiting room I went to confirm they received my registration info completed on my phone. They tried to tell me the "you'll be seen at.." text message was just random. If the waiting room Was packed, I would have understood. But it was me and one other people person. So, I want to say that I came on a day when they said their system was experiencing issues, so maybe they should have more stars. They were telling folks who came in to a walk in clinic that they did walk ins by appointment, which seems antithetical to a walk in clinic imo. They took all of my info, including my payment, and then I sat there waiting and my name did not appear on the list at all. I waited 30 min and then finally went up there to ask and they could not remember who I was or if I had checked in. Then they had to go and work out what was going on, stating I was supposed to be ahead of 2 other people who had come in. Still sitting here waiting to figure out my place in line. read more

The front desk was completely useless. I made a 2:30 appt, sent my insurance. They started working on it at 2:30, couldn't figure out how to find my coverage, refused to call the number on the card. I had to call and hand her the phone. Then 45 minutes later after already determining that I would have to pay the full amount anyhow because I hadn't met my deductible, I still had to wait for her to decide I could go back. I have never seen a more truculent, non-helpful person at a Dr's in my life. She could've just picked up and called initially and saved all of us time and frustration. read more

My child (1-year-old) threw up in the waiting room. I noticed that one of the medical assistants at the front desk saw what was happening. I began to clean up the mess and made eye contact with the assistant in hopes that she would bring me more materials to clean up the throw up. She didn't. I went up to the desk and asked both assistants if they had anything I can clean the floor with and they both just looked at me like I was speaking a language they didn't understand. I then asked, "or do you want me to just leave it there???" One of them jumped up then! Of course. I was able to clean up the throw up and the assistant who provided materials also helped, which I appreciated. However, I am baffled at the fact that there was biohazardous waste on the floor and the one person medical assistant, who definitely saw what happened, just sat there. I am sure there is a protocol, whether it is OSHA specific or St. Joesph specific, to cleaning up incidents like these -- and I don't think it involves just sitting there as it is happening and watching someone clean up the waste with all their baby wipes. To further that, the wipes I used on the floor were completely black. I know doctor's offices can become dirty over time, but I have never seen a wipe this black before.. and I wipe up messes in Walmarts, Targets, other doctors offices, etc., all the time. I almost walked out because I felt uncomfortable with the lack of sanitation and cleanliness, but they had called my son back as soon as I finished cleaning up the floor. The actual provider was fine and was prompt with checking my son's ears without trying to ask too many questions. They quickly sent the prescription and we were on our way. read more

Yes they were pleasant enough but I was there twice Fri then Sun & still they didn't prescribe the correct medication! I was in Mx for Week at an all inclusuve resort & we all got Traveler's Diarrhea. First I was prescribed muscle relaxers because I had back muscle pain over my kidneys with all the orher symptoms typical of Travel's Diarrhea. 2 days later I was prescribed an antibiotic which was for general infection but does not kill parasites. They asked me to shove a dry stick up my bum to send away. That was like next to impossible... Everyone else in the group went to the Immediate Care in Pooler & were immediately prescribed Cuprofloxacin which immediately stopped the symptoms & they are nearly well. 2 visits with my insurance cost me $50. Per visit so my total cost will be $150.00 when it should have been only $50.00. I guess from now on I'll be trekking to Pooler because they listen to the patient! read more

After having serious communication issues with the nurse practitioner, I asked for a doctor or supervisor. I was told a doctor was not present. ( I would think an Urgent care Doctor should be required at all Urgent care centers) I then asked for the practitioners full name. I was upset and planned to complain to the management. At this point both the nurse practitioner and another nurse that had not been apart of the issue threatened to call the police if I did not leave. , Both responded that they were not required to give me any names. This felt like a dictatorship to me! The practitioner had looked at my very red itching , and , stinging irritated arm with bleeding sores, and claimed That It did not appear that anything was wrong with my shoulder. ( I am sending photo of my shoulder. ). I wanted to show her what I had found on the internet. A dermatological Condition called. Notalgia Paresthetica. The internet site included some creams and medication that I had not yet tried. I tried to explain to her that I had already tried a steroid pack and a 2.5 percent cortisone cream. She grew angry with me and haughtily exclaimed that her expertise did not allow her to entertain internet diagnosis of any kind. I asked her why she would not at least look. At this point all went down hill. she refused to prescribe a stronger cream. And did not want to listen to what had already been tried. This was a hurtful and abusive experience. I would not promote this center to anyone! If I could do lower than a 1 I would. read more

My experience being seen by the doctor was excellent. I had a UTI and she prescribed antibiotics and said she would send a culture out. A few days lated I got a Voice message from urgent care and asked that I call back. I called a few times and the recording told per where they were located and their fax number, then it rang a few times and then disconnected. I assumed something was wrong with the phone. I tried a few times the next morning and the same thing, so I decided I would visit them in person. The girl at the front desk did not acknowledge I was standing there. I finally said something to her. I told her I could not get through to them by phone. She explained they do not answer their phones, they were not a doctors office - WTF!!!!!!! I told her I had a message to call them. Finally a Dr. came out and gave me the lab results. Long story but he did not tell me the reason for the call was the Dr. had called in a new prescription for my UTI, as the one I was taking would not work for the type of UTI I had. This is unacceptable - really you can't answer your phones!!!!!! read more

Front desk ladies were rude, they asked me to hold on so she could eat m&ms. I waited in the lobby (when it wasn't that busy) for an hour and a half, and then when they got me in a room i had to wait another hour. All for a simple check up. My experience couldn't have been better. Phoned from my car, woman came out and took my temperature, I filled out paperwork. After a very short wait, she called to tell me to come inside, where I was taken directly to an exam room. After the initial encounter for blood pressure, questions, etc., I waited a short time and was seen by Erica (I think a Nurse Practitioner.) She was thorough, helpful and I felt completely satisfied with the diagnosis, treatment and outcome. Most importantly perhaps, in light of Covid safety precautions, I felt completely safe about the visit. I've been here before and will go again if necessary. read more

Went here to try go get a flu swap around 6-630pm. I was informed that any and all upper respiratory issues can only be seen during daylight hours because of unknown reasons. They will only see patients outside for this and cannot figure out how to swab someone for the flu in a waiting room or their car. The care for patients shown by this is top notch! Worst experience I've ever had. Waited 2 hours which I did not complain about, however I did call ahead and check in and my given wait time was 20 minutes. After I was finally called the nurse did not ask me any questions just pricked my finger and when she left the room shouted "I did it! Now where do I put the blood"...and then the PA comes in. I explain what's going on, she is less than kind and acted as though she did not want to help me in the slightest. Laughed at me actually. I left and called to speak to supervisor. I have a tailbone injury and have been out of work all month due to pain and not being able to sit. I am also 17 weeks pregnant so we aren't able to do an X-ray to see if it's broken or bruised. I have been in every week since and they have given me a doctors note each week to be out of work. Today I saw a different doctor (a blonde lady) and I told her the pain I am in and that I can't sit, am in a ton of pain standing and walking, have nerve pain running down my legs and can barely sleep because of the pain. She did not write me out of work and told me I had to try. Even after I was sobbing. The other 2 doctors I have seen there were amazing and so sweet and kind. This one was not. I had to keep reminding her I was pregnant as well when she asked about X-rays and stuff. I told her the other 2 doctors there had given me a doctors note, and she said THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER DONE THAT.... So you are saying the other 2 doctors plus my OB are wrong? What the heck?! So 3 different doctors all say the same thing, but they are wrong. I literally don't understand this. So she expects me to go back to work and sit for 9+ hours when I am in a ton of pain? And then to also say your coworkers are wrong? So you are saying they are bad doctors? They asked me more questions and did more of an examination then she did. She walked into the room and you could tell she didn't care as well. I am so disappointed with the urgent care allowing someone like her to work there. The other two doctors were amazing, but the blonde lady should not work there, or maybe she should start caring about people. I will be going to a different urgent care from now on since I will not risk seeing that lady again. read more

I'm half and half about this place, when I go there the customer service is great I get in quick and get the proper care needed. On the other hand the responsiveness on the phone is horrendous. Multiple occasions I've had to call this place back (prescription changes, questions abt side effects) that kind of stuff. They always "transfer me to the nurses station" I have never once gotten a call back. I've left multiple messages and nothing. Very unprofessional. read more

WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE! Staff members Tiffany and Destiny could not be more rude and incompetent. We arrived 20 minutes before they opened and were third in line. However, because Tiffany entered our visit reason incorrectly we were placed 10th in line and were told it would be an additional 1.5 hours (total 2.5) before being seen. Neither Tiffany or Destiny would correct the error. Neither could explain why or how they triage patients. Unless you have all day to wait, choose another urgent care facility. read more

***Please read before going here*** May I first start out by stating that prior to today's events I have received excellent service/care on my two prior visits to this facility. It truly disappoints and upsets me that I am having to compose this review. I was seen this morning by a nurse practitioner by the name of Monica Walker and I am still shaken and appalled by how poorly I was treated. She entered the exam room, sat down on the counter and immediately began to express that she had reviewed my chart and did not know what I expected she could do for me. I explained that I had been treated twice before for the same issue and the second time I was referred to a local Allergist. I was told at that appointment that it was chronic autoimmune urticaria (hives) and to double up on my antihistamines and "hopefully" it would eventually go away on its own. I explained to Ms. Walker that the current outbreak/issue had started yesterday, and I had been treating it with antihistamines and when I woke this morning it had gotten worse. She looked at me and said, "you don't look that bad". She made this observation without examining me or asking where my affected areas were. I lifted my long sleeve shirt to show her one of my particularly bad patches under my arm and spreading to my back, I was then told again "it's not that bad". She then went on to explain that once they have referred me to someone else it was their responsibility to follow my diagnosis. The conversation then shifted to a rapid succession of questions that I was not given adequate time to respond to before another one was barked at me. The entire experience felt more like an interrogation rather than a visit with a caring medical professional. My frustration, pain and distress then lead me to cry to which she replied to "stop with the tears". At this point I felt like she had become so hostile towards me that my 23-month-old son who was in the room with me and I were no longer safe. I immediately got up and began to gather him to attempt to leave. As I reached for the door, she placed herself in front of it to prevent me from leaving. I had to ask her several times to please move before she removed herself from my path and I was allowed to leave the facility. Her last words as I exited were "She's leaving!!!". By the time I reached my car I was so shaken and upset I did not know if it was safe to drive but did not know what further hostility I may have encountered had I stayed to try and calm myself down. I did not enter the clinic with expectations of being cured but rather my symptoms be treated to provide me some relief over the weekend until I was able to make an appointment to be seen by a specialist or my primary care. I have never had a poor experience with a healthcare professional especially one so traumatic that I left feeling worse and in more distress. I am a very forgiving person and always try to give everyone the benefit of doubt, but this experience was so far above and beyond someone having a bad day that I feel it would be irresponsible of me not to report and warn others of Ms. Walkers care tactics. When I later called to request her name, I was given several run around excuses before I finally had to state it was my legal right to know who treated me (or lack of treated me). Dr. Stephen J. Goldner is our Primary Care Physician after the excellent care he has given the three members of our family over the past year. We were searching for a new practice after moving to the area last year and there were issue that made it a bit more urgent and we were so fortunate to have found Dr. Goldner. From basic to urgent care, we have been to see doctor Goldner (between the three of us, two 50 somethings and a 24 year old) six times in the last year (well maybe not fortunate). Dr. Goldner is extremely responsive and knowledgable and his assistant, Tanner, is awesome and ALWAYS returns phone calls asap! I can't speak to any of the other physicians or assistants in the office but from my observation, they are always quick, professional and caring. read more

This facility is nice, and very clean however it appears they are lacking on the customer service overall experience. They just switched over to a new billing system and apparently nothing carried over. Shameke the asst. didn't seem like she wanted to be at work today and was very rude. Finally got seen and got what I needed along with a perscription which I was advised would be emailed over. 2 hours later this still was not at Walgreens pharmacy. When I called the Front Desk ast. Tanner was unable to explain what happened and refused to admit that someone had not sent it or they had mad an error. My last experience was great but I had seen a different doctor which apparently was an owner. I will be calling ahead next time to ensure Dr. Huges is there. I would suggest some better traning for the staff and maybe to smile when helping with patients. read more

Have been to this facility a few times, and each time I have been impressed with the friendly staff, reduced wait time and professionalism! Nurse Practitioner Laura Cavicchi was EXCELLENT! She listened to my concerns, then explained her diagnosis and treatment plan in detail. Her compassion and knowledge were extraordinary. I highly recommend St. Jospeh's Candler Immediate Care in Bluffton and I know will definitely return if the need exists. read more

I am a registered nurse. I went to the center because I had symptoms of a urinary tract infection. I asked the medical assistant who took my temperature if she wanted me to give a urine sample. To my surprise she said no and that the doctor would decide. I saw the doctor , he asked me a few questions and pressed on both sides of my back. He told me to wait in the waiting area and he would write me a prescription. I asked him about leaving a urine sample. He said, " that's not necessary, I know what's going around ." I was dumbfounded. Urinary tract infections do not travel around the community like colds and flu. Any clinician knows that a sample must be obtained to be sent for a culture to determine if the right antibiotic was given. It is normal to be started on one antibiotic, but if the culture shows that that particular antibiotic was not sensitive to the bacteria , then another one is given. This was completely unsatisfactory medical care , not at all in adherence to commonly accepted medical practice. read more
