This school doesnt get cleaned at all. We have gone with out toilet paper in the bathrooms. While in class there was a "janitor" cleaning the water fountain with a TOILET PLUNGER. We have gone modules without teachers and then after 3 or 4 weeks finally getting a teacher and they had no clue what the h*** they were teaching. While doing our phlebotomy part of the course our tubes to collect the blood in were expired... the teacher didnt teach us all that we need to know. and then the one teacher that was actually trying to help us gets fired... there is literally two full time teachers that actually know what theyre doing and tries to make this school better but no matter hard they try they really can't.. The books we are given are out of date and gives us wrong information and when the next set of students comes in they get an updated book and the students that have been here for a while have to suffer with the old books. if i could give this school a ratting it would probably be in the negatives if that was possible... and yet this is not half of what goes on in this school i recommend nobody goes to this school not even my worst enemy....

After doing some research, I decided to give them a call. The person I spoke with, Kathy, was very helpful and explained all of the options available. TVMS teaches to all levels of students- from beginners to advanced musicians. They have a good number of teachers to choose from, and they offer lesson times during the week and on Saturdays. Lessons are given at Connecticut College in the Cummings Art Center. Students have the opportunity to use the College's resources, which include individual practice rooms (all with Steinway grand pianos). TVMS schedules several student recitals during the year where students have the opportunity to play in front of an audience, something that all students need to become comfortable with. The cost for lessons is a bit higher than what you may find on the outside- however, I feel the cost is definitely offset by the quality of the lessons and all of the extras that are available to the student. I highly recommend TVMS for anyone who is searching for a music teacher- especially for those who are more serious in their intent.

The teachers have been phenomenal and so caring. The Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers are so effective at the basics of math and reading, and the kids come home absolutely loving to learn. There was an issue with a kid on one of my child's class, that was appropriately and effectively dealt with. In terms of academics, the level is way above that of their peers, but the kids don't feel rushed or pressured in going ahead. The principal has been nothing short of supportive, helpful, friendly and kind. It's always so refreshing to see the older kids interact with the younger kids, in their class buddy system. 12/10 would recommend.
