Long time customer here, very disappointed with the service and food these days. The past two times I've eaten at this location were terrible. The first time this summer, the waitress was very dismissive and served 6 wings when I ordered 1 pound. The second time I went recently was three weeks ago, the waitress rushed us out at around 9:30pm on a Tuesday when we have only been sitting down for about an hour, still enjoying our food. I would understand if the place was super busy, or about to close, but it was only moderately busy and 9:30pm. She tried taking our plates without asking! Then proceeded to come back ten minutes later giving us the bill when we NEVER asked for it! Absurd! I've never been rushed out of a restaurant I haven't even stayed over one hour at! (hehehe) and I happen to be Midtown, so where would a guy go after 11PM but some bar. But this is no regular bar and grill. It is the famous St.Louis Bar and Grill. With over 60 locations now, it's a Canadian Success story of a little ROOSTER that's running the HENHouse! Someone stop me please!!! LOL!!! What to order here? Their Devilishly Good wings and their addictive garlic dill sauce. This sauce was originally made to be a rich salad dressing but it soon became the dipping sauce of choice. So popular, they've bottled it and is doing a test market release for it. Surprising to people, they forget that this place also has some decent burgers ... and ribs. Fair warning, the ribs can be dry on occasion - total downer, so I've steered clear of it in general, but the burgers are legit good. Just some notes for this location. Entry through the front door, exit through the side door. There are a few parking spots on the north side. Just try to make sure your car can clear the sidewalk - lengthwise. Lots of high and low seats, and booths. Plenty of televisions around so you won't get a neck pain craning to watch sports. As bars go, this is not where I go to hang my hat and down the amber liquids of the gods. They are a standard big brewery place. Grab a pint of something to wash your food down, and go find a real pub to get sloshed at... just my opinion. Pandemic service is in effect - basically one poor gal taking care of everything for the late night crowd + a cook in the back. Not everyone deserves Kudos but this hardworking gal does - the extra star is for her attention to service + a good tip. I don't leave chicken scratch. The chicken wings available are what you will come to expect maybe you can even go as far as saying it is a little over average. Menu items I enjoyed sampling are the poutine as well as the chicken waffle. Location is nice though because our group of 11 people had no problem being accommodated. There are multiple screens set-up streaming sporting events, menu is varied, ambience very cozy, and the alcohol situation is great. read more

I love their Patio. Got the side street patio which is quiet and nice. We ordered Crispy Fish tacos, Bermudian Fish Sandwich and Honey Cajun Corn and Bacon Fritters. It was too much for the two of us. Yummy though. My fish sandwich I had to dismantle and eat....Pretty big. I also like the fact that they give you a huge portion of food and not fries. Fries are just what they are supposed to be - sides. The Honey Cajun Fritters were delicious and very filling possibly because they were deep fried. A friend and I stopped by this location last night and we had a really good experience. The Ambiance: This location has a really nice patio where you can dine in and enjoy the heat & sunshine during the summer months. The Employees: The employees are super friendly and kind. They continuously checked in on us and we had a really positive experience. The Food: The restaurant has a great drink and food menu. They have different specials each day of the week and have lots of healthy choices, in addition to old time favourites. I noticed a Citrus turkey salad with avocado on the menu and a chicken Mediterranean salad. If I wasn't full when we arrived, I definitely would have ordered one of those. My friend ordered the Mediterranean salad and she said it was really good. It featured chicken, hummus and lots of vegetables. I ordered sweet potato fries and they tasted really good. The Drinks: We both ordered Smashers. My friend ordered the vanilla whiskey one (neither of us could really taste the alcohol and it tasted watered down) and I ordered the one that was supposed to have pineapple and taste like a piña colada. I ordered it as a virgin drink since I was taking some medicine and advised not to drink. It tasted very light and I wish it tasted more like a piña colada. Would I Return? We've been to St Louis Bar several times but today we didn't like the service. All glasses were dirty with lips prints on the rim. We returned several of them for that reason but we got another stained glasses in return. When we asked if they were washing the glasses correctly our waiter told us that there are too many glasses so there is no time to properly clean them and that all of them would have the same issues. This answer surprised us because they accepted they weren't solving the problem or weren't willing to solve it because they don't have enough time to do it. And they weren't planning on taking the time to clean them. Food was good but the unhygienic issues makes me think on going somewhere else next time. read more

If you need the definition of over rated look no further. This place is usually always packed yet the food is abysmal. The service was slow, sat there for 15 minutes before I got a drink order out and there wasn't many customers and plenty of waitresses. The chicken fingers were disgusting. This is probably one of the nicer and bigger locations I've been to. I decided to try the veggie tacos and I'm pretty disappointed because it was the worst tasting taco I've ever eaten in my life. Literally tasted like one of those frozen veggie burgers cut into pieces which I did not enjoy what so ever. My drink was good, I had a margarita which was the promo of the day. My date enjoyed his chicken wings and fries. As for service, it was good. We were seated right away and she checked on us twice to make sure everything was going well. It was the first hot, sunny day of the year and we were in desperate need of some patio time. St. Louis Bar & Grill was surprisingly crowded for 5:15 on a weekday, but it wasn't too long before we were shown to a choice table in the packed outdoor seating area. After perusing the fairly long menu for a few minutes, we settled upon the always-reliable pub choice of nachos ("Seasoned tortilla chips topped with a shredded cheese blend, tomatoes, green onion, fresh salsa and jalapeños. Served with sour cream and a side of freshly made salsa.") and added guacamole and chili to our order. The dish arrived about 15 minutes later and it was a hell of a sight. It basically looked like someone had poured soup atop a plate of plain nacho chips. And that's exactly what it tasted like, too. The "chili" was so watery that I'm not sure it even qualified as chili anymore. It didn't possess any of the flavors one associates with chili and it was completely lacking in anything resembling spice. The nachos underneath were naturally completely soggy and kind of gross as a result, and the extremely sparse application of cheese ensured that the dish didn't even have the ooey, gooey texture one associates with nachos. (The accompanying guacamole, sour cream, and salsa was pretty good, at least.) Adding insult to injury, the whole thing arrived to our table room temperature. I don't know how long it had been sitting there before we got it, but the dish was basically cold by the time we began eating. So absolutely disgusting. This may have been the worst plate of nachos I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a *lot* of nachos in my time. read more

Here watching Raptors game with 7 friends on a Friday night. Specials tonight include $19.99 Wing and Rib combo at a whopping 1620 calories plus a $5.99 Devil's Sized Pint every game night (23 ounce Coors or Canadian for another 200 calories). The place was very busy and noisy but I finally flagged down our server and settled in for the action on several TV screens. The meal was delicious! No cutlery...had to get up and ask another server. Service was extremely slow and the table wasn't cleared of our plates or glasses after our meal...not good! Came here with my boyfriend for a casual dinner. I had to St. Louis jolly rancher drink which consists of 1.5oz of alcohol, vodka, melon liquor, blue curaçao, cranberry juice and margarita mix. It was delicious and tasted just like a refreshing watermelon. Food wise we had poutine, jalapeño poppers and buffalo flavoured wings. The wings had good heat and flavour. The size of the wings themselves are on the smaller size but you receive a decent amount of them for the price. The service was lacking even though it wasn't very busy but the free wifi helped that. They do have several tv's so it's a great place to watch sports. Very casual atmosphere. The poutine was decent. Not great but not bad either. I do not recommend The jalapeño poppers as i prefer the ones with cream cheese inside instead of a marinara type sauce that lacked flavour. I'm not a fan. We came here on the weekend primarily because it could seat a large group with kids. The food was underwhelming, even for a chain restaurant. The burger was spongy and gross. It was one of those industrially-processed frozen patties you get in a high school cafeteria. My wife's tacos were soggy, and macaroni and cheese was overcooked to the point of disintegration. I know, what do I expect at a place like this, but many, many chain restaurants have better food, up to and including McDonald's. The burger at 5 Guys is cheaper and blows this place out of the water. The fries were crispy and pretty good, and the service was friendly. Where one would expect pulled pork, I instead got little cubes of what appeared to be ham soaked in an over-salted bbq sauce, along with a few strips of bacon. Really enjoy coming to this bar because they have trivia every Monday evening. The host is hilarious and friendly. There's no fee to participate and winning table gets a free pitcher of beer. If you've been to any st Louis it's pretty standard. But the crowd and the servers here are great. Really fun atmosphere. I like how they have themed food and drinks. For example, uefa is going on so they had cheap mixed shots for some of the countries. They're more so sugary and "girly" shots if you will. They have lots of booths and tables where large groups can sit. Their outdoor patio is quite large for a bar on yonge street. It was really hot the day I went and it was nice to see them have a cool refreshing mist blowing to keep customers cooler. My friends and I usually come down just for Trivia night and it was always a blast. Definitely recommend coming here. I mean come on...use your noggin' for free beer? Umm...heck yes! read more

I've got to say for a bar chain, they're doing far better than a lot of other bars I've ever been to. Go there during lunch and they've got their daily specials for a decent price. Burgers are $5 on Wednesdays too. Makes you wonder how they can sell them for that cheap... I like to mix it up each visit - chicken tenders if I'm feeling a little cheap, and the boneless wings if "treat yo'self" ever passes my mind. Their food is consistently well done. Tenders are always hot, juicy and crispy. Wings are crispy with just the right amount of sauce lathered. Wedges have that satisfying crunch (I needed a word other than crispy... felt weird saying it 3 times in 3 sentences...) and are really fluffy on the inside. Servers in the area are always nice - haven't had a single bad one here yet (knock on wood). Sports bar chains vary from place to place, so just because it's horrid somewhere doesn't mean it will be everywhere else! read more

When we learned that St. Louis offers plant-based wings, we were excited to go for the all-you-can-eat Wingsanity event. I eat meat, my wife doesn't, so it's rare to find fun meal events like this. We sat down and confirmed that they had the vegan wings available for Wingsanity and ordered our first serving, which was fine. We then got told that they had run out of the plant-based wings but they would be discounting my wife's food. That discount? $3.99. We're reasonable people, we understand that these things happen, but if you're going to offer an all-you-can-eat deal and yet you can only provide one single serving, I really think you should be able to do better than a $3.99 discount if you can't fulfill your side of the bargain. I will not be back. After giving them three chances, they've screwed up all three times. And guess what? Their ribs are terrible! They don't fall off the bone, in fact you have to rip it off and chew through. I don't understand why they're marketing their ribs, they are absolutely not worth the price. Their wings are good though - but the service has turned me off so badly that I cannot even be bothered to contact the manager. Just know this - I gave this place three chances, the first time, our server took down the wrong order, blamed us, ROLLED HER EYES at us and argued with us. Who does that? It came with Loads of fries and dipping sauces for a side (carrots and celery) even though they did not give us any of those 2 options. St. Louis is nicely situated on Yonge north of Davisville. It has a great patio that always has a waiting list. The inside has lots of TVs, including a large-screen television, which strangely does not have any seating facing it. The menu features mainly wings and ribs. The wings were good, if a little oversauced, and the sauce I chose--hot and smoky--was as advertised. They have reasonable beer and wing combos, and the staff is friendly and young, and the female servers are all blonde and about twenty years old and, I think I can say, quite hot. I'm scoring the restaurant two stars lower than I would have otherwise because the night my friends and I were there--a Friday night--a large contingent of rugrats, ages 3-12 or so, sat right behind us. Kids are kids, so I wasn't surprised that they were somewhat noisy, but I was surprised that these kids would be in a bar at 9 o'clock on a Friday. They bumped into me several times. They had the run of the place, playing tag, kicking the walls and furniture, shouting and rolling on the floor. The parents watched on and even encouraged them, which to me makes them not only poor parents but morons. The staff did nothing to stop this behaviour and merely walked between the kids, smiling. I suspect the parents are regulars. We stayed because we had a full pitcher, but otherwise we would have settled up immediately and walked out. I will go back, but I won't go again if there are kids there at night and I'll lower the rating to one star. It's a bar, people. The adults all around are drinking and using foul language and watching often violent sports on TV. Some of them are even on the make.
