She pushed it as hard as she could nonstop until it started hurting, after I told her to stop, doctor came in for 5 minutes to tell me no he wasn't going to culture it due to it becoming red after the student did what I told her not to do, they did nothing to help and charged me 100 bucks to make my eye way worse then when I started.

But fall I did last week and it was a doozy on a hard tile floor. Jaw, neck, knee, foot all needed attention but I dawdled 24 hours hoping things would look better the next day. Alas, they were worse and to avoid ER waits...waits...waits...waits...you know what I'm talking about, I went into urgent care. As medical appointments go for the purpose at hand this could not have been a better one. I was pretty certain nothing was broken but I wasn't sure why my strategy of ice, elevation, nsaids had not created a better outcome but a worse one 24 hours post event and now not being able to stand on the damaged leg and with ample bruising on face and neck I guess I was looking for diagnosis and direction. I have had since college a CNS disease in which falls can be part of the evolution and having had two prior in different decades that did result in fractures, I knew this was different for the damage done. Check in was quick and easy, the nurse who saw me first was professional and kind, the PA who saw me second was thorough, professional and kind. The imaging he ordered of XRays for knee and foot and CT for facial bones could be done on site and the techs who did it were professional. Radiology results were returned in short order and more discussion with PA about diagnosis and path forward . All good. I hope you will never have a need for urgent care but if you do, based on my experience this is a good choice.

While appropriate medical steps were taken, I experienced communication from PA James Brinkman, PA-C that felt condescending and not trauma-informed during an already very painful situation. A comment made during the procedure left me feeling upset and in tears due to the level of pain I was experiencing and the tone used. I believe patient communication and bedside manner are an important part of care, especially in acute pain situations. Based on this experience, I will consider seeking care at other facilities in the future.

I didn't want to have my family member endure extra pain, and additional X-rays, if the nurse couldn't correctly take the X-rays. Clearly an administrative problem. Staff was kind. I'm hoping they do the right thing and adjust the charges. Any charge should be attached to a service provided, not just you went to the ER and saw a Physician's assistant for less than 10 minutes. I had exceptional care here during my heart loop monitor procedure. (Also known as an ILR). I had the newer (bigger & longer) Abbott version inserted... so not only did I have my heart Dr & dedicated nurse the whole time, there was also 2 Abbott Lab medical reps & even an additional medical staff member during most of the procedure. They handled my ridiculous level of allergies & autoimmune challenges fabulously & because of the perfection of all involved- I healed quickly & fully... flying out on a family trip just a week later. Now my insur is fighting on paying the bill, but that's the jerk insur co, not this fab hospital. I'd absolutely go here again if needed!
