She asked if I wanted to take a test first and then see the medical assistant or the other way around either way she was very rude and unprofessional. The actual MA was nice but unfortunately the meds. Prescribed were ineffective.I wouldn't recommend this place at this point. And who the heck is Jefferson medical anyway? All though the procedure went well so I thought, they had cut out 3 extremely small polyps which were benign. The Dr. said to me that I had diverticulosis after the exam.....well ok no problem. But about 5 days later I had extreme pain in my lower left abdomen (never had issues before) and I was experiencing a lot of PAIN! WELLLLL I called the colonoscopy office which said that they would like me to get a CT scan stat. So I left work to go do this, they told me that I had DIVERTICULITIS now! Hmmmm odd for me since I'm 53 yrs old and NEVER had an issue my whole life! I'm put on antibiotics for 10 days.....well that only lasted for 2 days until I had such severe pain that I had to go to the ER, and after several hours, ANOTHER CT SCAN, I was then admitted so they could administer IV antibiotics for the next 3 days! BECAUSE NOW, THE INFECTION SPREAD! YAYYYY! ***************** I was told from the DR/staff at the colonoscopy center that I can continue with a regular diet of which I did! (no restrictions) I got the infection (diverticulitis) from the polyps being removed because I was NEVER told to eat a bland diet for a few days/week so that I could heal!(the infection was where they were removed) So on top of all this I have a hospital bill to pay that is over $2000 which I'm outraged about this also! ******I also had to take several medications, along with visits to my family DR to get my system back to NORMAL which took several weeks to fix! I am now eating what I want, as I did before the procedure and since I am healed I do not have any issues at all! I called the colonoscopy office and I told them that they should be responsible for the hospital bill. Their response to me was that, they can't pay that bill! WELL YOU CREATED THE ISSUE!!!!!! C.M.

Like at so many medical practices the office staff can really be a make or break for wanting come back and the office staff at the Walbert Avenue location is truly inept. Due to scheduling issues I had to see a different doctor for the procedure & follow up visits than I saw for the initial consultation. All fine except that doctor does not accept my insurance. Every other doctor in their practice does and I was even told he accepted it but when the EOB came I got a "little surprise". A different person at the Walbert Avenue location also scheduled me at another one of their locations for a follow up visit and at NO TIME was that ever conveyed to me. Imagine my surprise showing up at Walbert Avenue, sitting for fifteen minutes then being told that my appointment was made with the same doctor, at another office location and I was now late for that appointment. The office manager at the other location was apologetic but said that "things like this happen alot from the Walbert staff especially the Saturday staff". Good to know. Hopefully I have no need to ever go back but if I do I will do my best to aviod the Walbert Avenue location as in general terms the office staff, sucks.
