Aubrey (I believe that's her name) was the most attentive, super friendly, and outgoing. The front desk area was often busy and the level of customer service was hit and miss at best. I showed up for my appointment and I was told it had been cancelled, and when I asked by whom, the lady said they called and told me. Well clearly not because...here I am. The lady at the desk could only offer...I'm sorry, I'm just telling you what the computer says, and she said it twice. That wasn't the help I was looking for. I will say, she did try to offer solutions after the fact, but by then, I wasn't really interested. This is my second time here, and I recall it being a similar experience at the front desk. I've also been to the Kaweah Hand Therapy Specialist after surgery, and while the front desk staff there were much friendlier, I've just had better experiences at other PT's so I cancelled my remaining appointments and will ask to go somewhere else. P.S. while none of the grievances I heard being discussed by the employees were about patient care, I did overhear conversations that I'm guessing I wasn't meant to hear. Seems like it can be a hard place to work for, and patients don't need to hear that.

On my first visit, Larry identified other parts of my body that had been damaged by my initial injury. While my knee was the obvious injury, my fall had affected my hips which was effecting my gait, core and back. I realized I was favoring my injured knee but what I didn't realize was that in doing so, I was misaligning my body. Larry provided specific exercises for me to practice at home awhile provided other therapeutic care during my appointment. As I progressed, more targeted exercises were given to help me focus on strengthening my muscles, core, back and gait. I felt better after only one week! Before the accident and at 73 years old I believe I was slowly letting myself go down the road of decrepitude. I think that the accident woke me up and showed me that the low-impact exercise that is offered by physical therapy outfits like PRO-PT is the way. I call BS on that old adage "no pain, no gain" as a sure way to deliver doubt to us older citizens. Physical therapy is a very good thing to start with and if you wish to look like Jack La Lane (before he went on to his reward) well then go for the gymnasium with at least a good start. So after coordinating time off from work and driving 45 minutes one way, I left without being treated. I was offered to come back in 3 hours or to schedule for another day, both if which I declined. I will be changing my referral to another provider. Peoples time is important, please pay closer attention when doing your job, and have a little more respect for your patients time and maybe consider not wasting people's time and having a negative impact on their work lives as well.
