Students that have accused us got away with everything, and when faced with an issue, we were forced to do janitorial work. One student even got away with stealing an almost $200 calculator from one of my friends. We were berated, overlooked, and even slandered by students and faculty. Somehow, the students' parents regularly send money to the school have been handed everything on a gold platter. Not only are they asked to lead the school on the executive committee, but they are also able to secure a spot on a varsity team all 4 years. This is achievable sans funds, but The Prep sugar coats it. Believe whatever, especially those of you who are rich enough to secure your son's success. But I paraphrase by saying, do not be deceived.

Our experience with Gloucester County Christian School was extremely disappointing. When our son…read moreneeded academic support, we felt the school failed to follow through on accommodations that had been discussed and agreed upon. We were eventually asked the teacher why they weren't following through with the accommodations made with the child study team that everyone signed leaving us with little choice but to remove him and place him elsewhere. The school's handling of the situation made us feel that our son was no longer wanted there. After we decided to leave his report card was held hostage by the school until fees which we should not have had to pay were paid. We also only attended the school 5 days of the last month the school would not refund the money that they owe us, charging us $400 for academic books that equaled $20 on Amazon. Despite these circumstances, tuition issues continued after his departure. We later learned that another family with 4 children enrolled at the school after our son left. We cannot know the school's motivations, but the timing has always left us wondering whether financial considerations were given greater weight than supporting a child who needed help. Parents whose children require additional academic assistance should ask very specific questions about what support the school is prepared to provide and what happens if a child struggles. Considering this is a "Christian " school the motivations seem to be more money directed . The school should be ashamed of how they have treated us.

As we all know kindergarten is not a requirement by state law law so with this being said my son missed quite a bit of school.due to my mothers death who lived out of state and him being sick requiring multiple tests and extensive workup he was excused for all of it, academically he scored above average on state testing and recent first grade placement testing, I get the phone call stating that he will not receive a diploma and he will not be promoted to first grade but can walk so assuming it will just be left blank instead they hand my little son a dilpoma with void written all big in it, so unnecessary as we all know the diploma means nothing it certaintly is not your ticket to first grade its a disgrace how they can hand this to a child and when his teacher was questioned she said administration did it. This is just one of the many issues, my son also turned in a project that his teacher gave him an F on as to neing sick my daughter assisted him with the project and for that reason she gave him an F i mean this is kindergarten. No compassion whatsoever for what my son has been through and this is a Christian School.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful and they really care about the spiritual growth of their students. Next year our daughter will be graduating but I know that we will be supporting Cumberland Christian for years to come.

Our daughter reads, had tech, Spanish, library, art, science, piano lessons, Bible, daily worship. It was such a wonderful day that she enjoyed. They were so welcoming, caring, and had awesome community activities for us to get to know others. As a military family, it is always hard to get to know everyone and feel welcome. We wish we didn't have to move and could stay for all of elementary school!

There is no lunch room and a lot of their other classes ( art, Library and music ) are in trailers that are cold in the winter and hot in the summer. But the love for the kids is really great. It's a small school with lots of heart. The older kids help mentor the young ones and help the teachers out a lot. It has the homeschool feel but with other families. The class room sizes are small at most 12 kids. I drive 45 mins (one way) for my kids to go here. It's worth it!! Feel free to call and make an appointment to tore the school. Others tried to pick at the fact that I came from Philadelphia and say that I was too stupid and only know curse words, trying to get me trouble by lying to officials that I had a vulgar mouth... We're talking about 4th graders. I mean there were even some "popular" cheerleader girls that try to lure me to be their "pet" and use me. I realized it had to be racism in this school because even the darker-skinned children were made fun for being "black" or have "Crazy hair". Also, the teacher believed these lying children that were trying to get me trouble, and if any of the colored students tried to have a comeback or smart remark to respond to a mean student or two, it is the colored students that get written up or have a phone call home. It didn't help that I tried confronting to the teacher, she just didn't want to help me. She was biased, and so was every other staff member. It was sad, and I realized being literally the only Asian (there weren't even any Indians or Pakistanis, which are also Asian) in that school is worse than just the few bunch of African Americans that had to stick together there... The diversity was sad, but that was NO excuse for the staff to be biased, also racist and discriminating. Some of the parents of these horrible children know about it, but do nothing... Worst to say, I think a few of them encouraged their children to be that way. I know for sure if I were a teacher, I would stand for the helpless. I don't care if other teachers tell their staff and fellow coworkers to act cold to particular students; equality is justice. Children of all ages, color, and race should be treated properly and the same nice way in order to learn well and feel comfortable. You'd think these caucasian, middle-class families would teach their children better.
