They have all the info on what is going on. The nicest and most upscale gallery is located in the Center. They have great art shows all the time. In the hallway joining the two main galleries they frequently display the art of local school children and much of the stuff is brilliant. I enjoy it as much as the professional works on display. The center offers lots of art classes for all ages. My daughter intermittently takes 10 week art classes for a mere $60, materials included and she's always had a great time. Classes are small so the kids have lots of hands on time with the teacher. Third Fridays are a great time to visit the Center because they have an open house with hors d'ouvres and all the local artists come out to mingle. Gallery perusal is free. There's local art for sale, originals and prints, pottery, handmade jewlery, scarves and other types of folk art. Items on display vary widely from month to month. Closed on Mondays

Converted from several interconnected storefronts (the former Frank's Men's & Boy's Shop), it's well-designed with two bright, spartan galleries downstairs and artists workshops upstairs. The RRCA hosts children's art programs during the summer months called ACE (Arts Creates Excellence) and offers other classes and presentations throughout the year for all ages. New gallery installations occur every month with artist receptions/openings held during the Arts District's Third Friday event. The gallery has displayed the works of many regional, national and internationally acclaimed artists and fine craftspersons. There is a small shop at the back of the main gallery where one may purchase works of art and giclee prints.

I've taken classes at the undergrad and graduate level at several other schools, and some of the best and most challenging were are CCC. I had to take a semester off from school for surgery and needed to be closer to home so I dropped in for 3 classes at CCC. They were all great. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything at all. Class sizes were a little bigger than at the other colleges I've been to, but I don't feel like that impacted my learning. Cumberland County College also has a really nice lay out, easy parking, and is safe. It's quite lovely, wooded and well maintained. I wish I had taken more classes at CCC because they're a bargain and it was very pleasant learning environment!

The monthly tuition is extremely reasonable especially considering the high level of instruction. The ownership of Rising Stars is exceptionally accommodating and always does their best for all the families at the studio. My daughter had bronchitis and missed 2 weeks and I had the flu for the third. On the 4th week of the month they were closed. Went in the next week, put my daughter in class and paid for the month I missed. When I looked in the classroom they had put my daughter in the corner to sit. She asked me later what she had done wrong. I don't care what issue you have with me, take it up with me, not my child. I was issued a refund and I will take my business elsewhere. I suggest anyone reading this do the same.

As a parent it means the world to me to see her smile and love to dance again! The training in technique is top notch, the movements in the pieces created are true forms of "art", and the professionalism and talent throughout is outstanding. The staff and children have been wonderful in so many ways. This is the place we call home. Thank you!
