One of the things I miss about being based in Philadelphia are the international trips. I don't miss commuting, but I do miss the transatlantic trips! One of my favorite destinations is Ireland because there's so much history, and interesting old churches and sites. One of those is the St. Mary's Cathedral which is an 800+ year old church. In order to get here, you have to fly to Shannon, Ireland and then take the bus to Limerick. It is close to many historical points of interest.
Gothic looking, and it now costs €4 to visit (used to be €3 last time I was there. There's a graveyard in front of the cathedral where people pay respects. read more
