The staff are warm and welcoming -- they start by going around the room to meet everyone, then teach a few simple sign language signs before turning them into a fun song. After that, there's another song, and the leader talks about the months, weeks, days, the weather outside, and what season it is. Then they read a book or two and finish with a fun activity for the kids. I may have missed 1-2 things in there It's really well organized and enjoyable -- a wonderful place for families and little ones to learn and have fun together. The girls 2-3 really had a great time, afterwards we go out to the play area and they play with some off the other children that stay after. Excellent

The life of a reseller is busy. I was approached by a worker who had apparently already counted my books that I had set off to the side. She said, "you have almost reached your limit". Money is money. I mean technically speaking i could go back in and get 25 more if I wanted to be petty. You can't even make an honest living these days. I'll stick to my home library. Charles County. The ambience is amazing and among the best of any bookstore I've been to. They have several comfortable chairs and couch spaces to sit and read. I brought my coffee and read the synopses of a few books while I was deciding which ones to buy. The books are very well sorted categorically and also alphabetically. They have a great selection of books in several genres - all for unbelievably great prices! I ended up buying two thriller books and will return to buy board games and more books sometime. The employees are super friendly and are very well versed with the inventory if you need help finding books.

This Library is very cool!…read more This was my first time visiting this library and I was very impressed with how aesthetically pleasing it looks on the inside, how many breakout rooms there were, a gaming room, separated area's for children's play, teenagers, study space/working space, lounge space for older patrons with bigger lounge chairs, etc. I spent about 2 hours here with some children and they very much enjoyed the children's learning area. There were magnetic busy boards, busy games, wall games, magnetic dominos, puppets, magnetic people mix and match, and the books! While here, I noticed people of all ages, ethnicities and abilities enjoying the services of the library. It was very clean and I was impressed with the spread of variety of things for different groups. There were DnD groups renting out rooms, coders, puzzlers, arts and crafters, and much more. It was a very pleasant and safe experience, we will visit again.

I came to this library after a day spent coworking with a colleague. We had already worked most of the day from a coffee shop and were ready to say our goodbyes. I still needed to get some work done for the day before heading home to Richmond when I found this library on Yelp. I love all the seating options and different rooms in this library. I found a quiet corner with a great desk near an outlet to finish up work for the day. The wifi was strong and I enjoyed all the natural lighting. Although I didn't browse the books, it seemed like they had a lot of variety. I enjoyed taking a peek at their new releases/recommended books at the front. It's a great library to pass some time at.

The app is very helpful as well for reserving items, seeing where you are on a waitlist, keeping track of books you read/plan to read, and you can download audiobooks as well which is great for when you are traveling or commuting and not able to bring CDs. The staff is very fast with pulling your reserved books and it makes checking out a breeze.

Buuuut it's also got some aspects that make me go 'whaaaa?' Sunday hours - great. Bigger and roomier and far more natural light - great. More seating - great. Green roof - love it. The library opened a little over a week ago, and an elevator was out of order? I assume that'll be up and running soon? There's an entrance on the ground floor, but it's locked? In the children's section, there's a ledge that looks like a big slide. Kids were playing on it. There are signs that say don't sit or slide on the window ledge. Don't make a fixture that looks like a slide *in the children's section* if it's not to be used that way. Also, signage in the parking garage says to park on the 2nd floor for the library entrance. You enter, go up a level, park, enter .... that's not the library entrance. You're actually supposed to keep going up in the garage, park in the roof. THAT's the parking garage entrance level to the library. Aesthetically, I like the library. I like the expanded hours. But some signage and design choices leave me a bit flummoxed. 3.33 stars

I was amazed at the self checkout and the free hiking kits with state park pass to use for free. Most of the books I looked for were checked out or unavailable. Books were priced at $3 but you could purchase a bag of books for $7 after 2 pm. I found a book I was looking for on Irish nationalism and other books. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in assisting me. I noticed most books were new and in good condition in the library. The library was clean, and the new books displayed were impressive. Finding this library was east to drive to, find, and park at despite the busy traffic in the area. Definitely a library I will visit in the future.
