This Library is very cool! This was my first time visiting this library and I was very impressed with how aesthetically pleasing it looks on the inside, how many breakout rooms there were, a gaming room, separated area's for children's play, teenagers, study space/working space, lounge space for older patrons with bigger lounge chairs, etc. I spent about 2 hours here with some children and they very much enjoyed the children's learning area. There were magnetic busy boards, busy games, wall games, magnetic dominos, puppets, magnetic people mix and match, and the books! While here, I noticed people of all ages, ethnicities and abilities enjoying the services of the library. It was very clean and I was impressed with the spread of variety of things for different groups. There were DnD groups renting out rooms, coders, puzzlers, arts and crafters, and much more. It was a very pleasant and safe experience, we will visit again. read more

Love this community library. Beautiful building and plenty of books to browse from. You can get a library card which gives you access to the electronic library which makes it easy to rent books and other offerings. I haven't taken advantage of the other things offered by the library like activity hours for the community, electronic books, computers use in the library etc but i did use the printing service. read more

Books, on books, on books!!! I am so glad I finally made it to this library!!! It's so sleek and modern on the inside so it is very inviting!!! IF there is a such thing as an upper echelon upscale library, this is definitely it!!! Fabulously executed from the local artwork, quiet rooms and indented sections for young adults, pseudo to a teen reading area, underground parking and an elevator, this will make you want to come to the library more often!! The addition of self check out is a major plus, so you can check out and even put books on hold at your own pace. The layout is also very open so you do not feel like you are all over the person next to you. There are several computers too for patrons to use for internet access and the like. I remember when this library was in construction. I have to say, it does my heart good to see it not only still alive but thriving. From a wonderful children's section to a gaming room, this little community library has it all. Linked online with all the other Prince William County libraries makes this library an endless and invaluable resource. Additionally, they always have a large section of books for sale (kids and adults) that usually price around $2 for paperback and $4 for hardback. I can't say it enough, this is a great library, not too loud but not too quite. The Library itself is beautiful! From the inside to out. The only and most irritating thing I can comment on is the extremely loud children. I understand this is a public space but it's still a library. Libraries used to be a place of quietness and talking was always kept to a minimum, not at this place. The children's section is a great idea but I do think it should have been enclosed, especially with there being moveable toys that make loud noises. There is a quiet room for studying/getting work done but it's usually always full (everyone wants quiet). I also never have seen the staff once say anything about the kids being loud, even when they are screaming and crying for minutes on. It's hard to focus even with noise cancellation headphones on from the noise. Definitely the most noisiest library I've ever been to, this is not a place to bring your kids to play. read more

Very clean and well organized library. The only thing i can complain about it that the movies sit very low to the ground, so when people like myself with back problems wanna borrow a movie the bottom to drawers are out of the question from having to lean that dar over. This is a beautiful, new, well stocked and well staffed library in Prince William County. They have ample free underground parking which is kinda surprising for a rural area but very appreciated. I love all of the awesome programming they offer here, from Storytime for kids (Tho it's still virtual now, fingers crossed it will be in person this fall). I participated in the compost program and got a free compost box for my yard- wouldn't have tried it without the library's help and I'm so glad to be doing something proactive in my yard for the earth). My favorite library in PWC! The staff are always friendly and helpful and the facilities are wonderful. The children's section is engaging and a fun way to spend time with the kiddos. This library is wonderful and such a great addition to the neighborhood. HOWEVER, there has never been a day when I sat in this library and enjoyed the quietness of the library. Without its books and resources, this building can be easily re-named as a community center, a day care and a play ground from ages 1-18. The noise problem is uncontrollable - none of the staffs have taken active steps to reduce the volume in this building, and it's simply disappointing. This place is a library, or so the name says; and I hope it can stand true to what it says it is. read more

This is a fantastic library that has a large variety for resources for all ages. The overall layout of the library is nicely spacious compared to the smaller neighborhood Prince William county library locations. My twin toddler daughters have enjoyed attending many summer reading programs events in the community room. The library staff are very welcoming. This library is definitely my favorite library compared to the other two PWC libraries I have visited. read more

This place is Modern and hip ,not just a place for stay at home Mums and Papas.The new building structure feels classy upscale. The local artwork and photography on display add to its elegant balance. I enjoy the multi sectioned rooms for Magazine Reading , the selection is endless.My Child enjoys the Early reading section and time on the wooden boat. I'm looking forward to reading to the service Dogs! They bring real dogs so kids can read to them with out any fear . Gotta love labs ant the library. After school Teenagers are participating in study groups or surfing the net quietly! Meeting in conference room and so on... The staff is polite professional and and people oriented. Staff seem happy ;greet you ,going in and out .I'm never disappointed during my visits .plus parking is a breeze. read more

This library is stunning and I love how clean and organized everything is! There are computers and plenty of places to sit. However, this library is way too loud. It's unbearable. I'm a college student on break and I came in wanting to do some studying, but it was impossible when the kids kept screaming. I'm surprised no one did anything to try to tell the kids to keep their voices down. If you're like me who needs it to be pretty quiet in order for you to concentrate, this place is not for you. I would love to come back, but only if I know the noise level has been controlled. read more

Awesome library and study space. Light, airy, beautiful construction, tons of outlets, comfortable chairs. A great place to work on my PhD work. The only negative is that there are sometimes VERY loud children (crying 15+ min, screaming tantrums) who can be EXTREMELY disruptive. I can hear them with ear plugs in AND while wearing noise-cancelling headphones. It's a tough situation because it's a community space... But perhaps the library could have stricter rules and/or designate some more enclosed/separate areas parents can take their children until they're back under control? The ceilings are beautiful & high... so the tantrums/screams echo a lot. I've only come on weekends, so maybe it's quieter on weeknights... Otherwise, phenomenal library and study space. UPDATE: There is a "Quiet Study Room" in the back right corner of the library. Awesome vibe in here. Can't hear the outside roar at all. This takes my review from 4 to 5 stars. Wow! I didn't know how nice a Public Library can really be! I came to the Montclair Library because I was invited to a local event being held here. I didn't know what I was more surprised by, the fact that the Building was designed very modern or that they had a parking garage. Everything seemed new here and was very well taken care of. The staff was nice, but seemed to be wavering when it came to the knowledge of books and county programs. The book selection was not that large here, which is a bit sad. If you do come here, though, it is a good place to work or study. I would recommend it for that or picking up a book. read more

Omg this library is amazing. The sole reason we love it is due to the garage. On rainy or snowy days, we head here for toddler events/classes and to stay out of walking in the rain at Chuck E. Cheese or wherever else we go. This library is so beautiful and clean too. read more
