Their annual worship for students and alumni held at klyde Warren this year was beautiful. The parent involvement was great.

From day one, we have been treated like family, not just another number. The staff, teachers, and leadership genuinely care about each student's academic growth, character development, and spiritual foundation. They take the time to know the students personally and partner with parents every step of the way. The sense of community here is unmatched. The values being taught align with what we reinforce at home, and the love, encouragement, and structure my daughter receives have helped shape her into a confident, respectful, and well-rounded young lady. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, faith, and consistency this school provides. If you're looking for a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where your child is truly supported and valued, I cannot recommend this school enough.

My husband and I attended CFNI back in 1991-1994. We were in the married housing. We did the 2 year…read moreschool and then stayed on for the School of Missions because the teachers were so awesome we didn't want to leave!! The Worship services were always filled with the Holy Spirit and sometimes even white smoke everyone saw it we weren't imagining it and no nothing was on fire...except each of the students!!! Those were the glory days for sure. Kevin Jonas Sr. was our worship leader at the time during praise and worship..(.little Kevin and Joe were running around campus as toddlers, Nick and Frankie weren't even born yet or if Nick was we didn't see him much....)anyway I digress. Yes some students got kicked out for porn on computers not going to lie or gloss over that one...but that's because they are sinners like ALL of us saved by grace. Borrowing something without asking is the same sin so don't get all righteous on me. I am extremely conservative so I was both amused and annoyed that students would also get kicked out for refusing to wear a 1 piece bathing suit in the school pool or while going to a local beach. WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? THE BIG DEAL IS THAT IT WAS A NEVER ABOUT THE BATHING SUIT EXCLUSIVELY IT WAS ABOUT OBEDIENCE AND HUMILITY AND SUBMISSION UNDER AUTHORITY.(especially when you signed the school rules...HELLLOOOO?) If you can't obey the simple rules how are you going to survive obeying the harder decisions in life? The fact that as a Christian, students would be so filled with pride to insist on doing their own thing showed a character flaw the school couldn't work with until they had a change of attitude. Students disobedience was only an indicator of their sincerity in claiming Christianity and submitting to those in authority over them...what was their submission to God then? Not worth much....... The 11:00 o'clock services had the likes of Wayne Myers and John Garlock as speakers AWESOME. Yes there were internal scuffles in faculty I'm sure... because everyone is human but we didn't hear of it as students so no drama mama happened. If it existed at all it never trickled down to the students it was well hidden. IF THERE were any internal conflicts or politics....like I said I never realized it so I wouldn't know. In the last 10 years though I hear that there has been more shuffling of faculty divorces from those who you would never have guessed and etc. But all that tells me is....that the enemy is busier and we Christians are getting weaker because our resolve and convictions are getting watered down. All in all I still would send my kids there if I researched it recently and found the teaching was still spot on because honestly a local church anywhere has just as much baggage. But at CFNI with so many anointed pastors, guest speakers and faculty its still light years ahead. The other petty stuff of not kissing before marriage? Seriously? you think that is an issue in the long run and in the bigger scheme of things? Good thing you don't live in the Old Testament or Bible times in some cultures you would be stoned for that. We've gotten so far from what's right we think the right is weird and the wrong ok. Raging hormones get in the way of right thinking. Nothing is more beautiful and sexier than a Godly woman or man and you want kissing thrown in to cloud your judgement and think its not affecting the relationship? LOL!!! The school is doing these students a favor by putting the breaks on...if they cant control themselves the Godl fearing faculty will help you get on the right track. You should be thanking them not complaining about getting your parade rained on!! If the relationship is worth anything it will last through this simple request. If taking the candy away gets you into a pity party then what was the focus of the relationship????? I highly doubt the faculty would take away a couples engagement ring over as light an infraction as what was mentioned above there are two sides to every story!!!! And being forbidden to even talk to each other is clearly a sour grapes complaint from the offending parties because the faculty cant teach you a biblical truth by making you obey unbiblical procedures..something is not computing there....... They offer college days to go and see and test run the school for yourself...since I haven't been in almost 20 years I would suggest to check it out...maybe things have changed alot i.e. Wheaton college for example...which no longer even has the requirement of only Christian professors at the school teaching the mixed body of students...and I mean a REALLY mixed body of students...........WHAT?????? Cant say that about CFNI so far!!!!

My time at CFNI was a constant struggle - primarily with the Housing Department and Academics…read more The housing department is unclear on when rent is due during the breaks and the apartments are infested with mold. When the mold was reported to maintenance my roommates and I were told that we were at fault because we ran the AC during the summer heat. Meanwhile a friend had to change apartments a handful of time because she kept getting sick from the mold. The academic assistants and advisors are passive aggressive and are often students themselves. There are no student advocates within the academics department. Lastly, if you did not know - the neighborhood around CFNI is quite dangerous. With Christ for the Nations being unaccredited, they do not report the countless crimes that take place on campus.

It saddens and frustrates me a little to read the negative reviews of PCA by students who attended…read morehere and missed the entire message of the love and transformational power of Christ. PCA is a Christian school - unapologetically standing on the Word of God for authority and guidance in all matters, including those pertaining to life, culture, gender, sexuality, etc. Those students who are unwilling to follow Biblical principles relating to God's design for gender and sexuality will find PCA frustrating not because the students and faculty are unloving or not caring, but because they are running counter to God's best for their lives. Period. My wife and I both work at PCA, all three of our children have attended PCA, and we have loved our time here at this school. PCA places Christ at the center of all that is done and while some have "complained" that PCA is an economically elite school, I have been amazed to see how far this school will go to make a Kingdom education available to any family that wants it! PCA raises and gives away literally millions of dollars for families to be able to attend - and PCA is at the forefront of trying to educate our state legislators on different educational funding opportunities to help address the cost of private education - instead of blaming PCA for providing an excellent education, those who are frustrated with the cost should be contacting their state legislators and asking why other states have passed laws that make private education more affordable and Texas hasn't. I personally know the students who have taken the time to write their negative reviews and I feel sorry for their anger and frustration, but again, their perspective of the school is really more of a commentary on their perspective on Biblical Christianity itself. If you want a school that adheres to the principles of Scripture and isn't tossed to and fro by the winds of the current cultural chaos, the comments of these students should help you understand that PCA isn't willing to compromise on Biblical truth. My prayers are with those students that they would one day know the truth and the truth would set them free.

It's sad that students write negative reviews because they choose not to believe in Christ's word…read more Their upset because PCA won't water down the message of the Bible. Has nothing to do with the performance and quality of the academy. I'm a single mom with very limited income. My son had an amazing experience at PCA. When I lost my job and couldn't afford tuition, PCA did everything possible to keep my son there. Everything down to lowering tuition SUBSTANTIALLY to asking me to apply there!!! In the end I decided to put him in public school based on my financial situation. They were amazing! Let us out of the contract, offered very low tuition and even multiple months tuition free to help me get on my feet! When my son entered public (Plano) he was literally bored, because everything he was being taught, he had learned a year ago at PCA!!! Great place for the whole family, great experience and yes, good people that care!

Dallas Christian School presents itself as a beacon of faith-based education, but beneath the…read moresurface is a culture built on exclusion, favoritism, and quiet discrimination. Unless your family has the resources to donate large sums of money, the "right" race, or gain favor through employment at the school, you are just a number--tolerated, but never truly included. The school's values are less about Christ and more about class and elitism. A tight-knit inner circle of donors, board members, and influential families call the shots. Everyone else is kept in their place. Diversity at Dallas Christian is performative at best. Minority students are rarely visible outside of athletic teams, and there is a pattern of recruitment that raises serious ethical questions. These students are valued for what they can do on the field or court--not who they are. And yes, there have been documented and disturbing instances where students of color have been called racial slurs, including the N-word, by both peers and staff. Consequences for these actions have been minimal, and accountability is nonexistent. The emotional toll is real. Kids who start off confident and engaged quickly become withdrawn, questioning their worth in an environment that measures value by status. The self-esteem damage lingers long after. Many of the glowing reviews online are not from impartial voices--they are parents on the board, major donors, or paid reviewers. Don't be misled by the marketing or manufactured praise. The reality inside is far different. Meanwhile, families who experience harm are pushed out quietly, without support, and without acknowledgment. Even staff members who happen to be minorities are part of the same exclusionary system--and they know it. There is no safe space here, only a well-oiled machine that rewards compliance and marginalizes difference. If your family doesn't "fit" their mold--racially, politically, or socially--you will be pushed out, one way or another. The environment is not just biased, it is hostile. And they'll use your tuition to do it. With the rise of school vouchers, this kind of systemic discrimination is only going to get easier to hide. If you are a minority family, a values-driven family, or seeking real faith-based education--run. Don't be fooled by the brochures. The truth is much uglier.

Alright Im just gonna keep it 100 with you I know if you scroll down past (or up) from my review…read moreyou'll probably see some terrible 1 star reviews about this school (not saying they aren't valid) but I'd like to let the record show that most of those horrible things that are in this school's past, and under the new leadership with Mrs. Graham, things are now looking a lot different. Like a lot a lot different I'm currently a Junior at this school so this is my 3rd year here and I've honestly seen a lot of the negative things the other people mentioned, drugs and iPad addictions and all that, and you guys would be shocked what happens when new leadership (along with smaller enrollment) comes into play. When I was a freshman, I saw a lot of the bad that DL had to offer, with the things I mentioned earlier, along with an overall confusion because I thought this was supposed to be a Christian school. BUT now all that has changed under Mrs. Graham, because with the new rules she put in place along with a small amount of kids it does seriously look a lot better from the perspective of a student who is really involved with many different activities and having the privilege of talking to people here every single day. Yeah, Dallas Lutheran isn't perfect (I think that goes without saying), but I do sincerely believe this school is better than the alternatives, especially if you are a family who values a Christian education more than anything else. I went to a Christian school for my entire life (loved my other one too btw), and one thing I've seen in both schools is that the faculty does truly care about Jesus. We have chapel 1 time a week and theology class 3 times a week, in which we can have meaningful conversations with our teacher and classmates, and if God calls you, to even speak at chapel! (I've done it a couple times its super cool.) But at the end of the day, people are very flawed (even the great ones that go to Dallas Lutheran) and I'm sure there have been many people who have horrible experiences with students/teachers here, but seriously I can't emphasize enough how much change I've seen in my 3 years here Mrs. Graham and the entire staff might be actual superheroes. Dallas Lutheran is special for a lot of things, but honestly my favorite is the family aspect I've gotten from it. Seeing a school with 60 kids in it might scare you away from sending your kid here, but from someone who's experienced this my entire life, I can tell you how beneficial it's been for my growth spiritually, academically, emotionally, and in every other -ly way that I can't really think of. Being surrounded by the same people in most of your classes, on top of sports and other extracurriculars may seem like it sucks at first, but really it's super cool to build these bonds with people and know that it'll last far beyond the 4-7 years you could spend here. I know they throw the word "family" around a lot at this school, but I don't think there's a better word to describe this place, when I look around me I see my brothers and sisters in Christ! This also helps in the classroom, because if a teacher sees I'm struggling, we can have a conversation and they can help me because they actually know me on a human level and took the time to understand the things that I'm going through, while at other schools they usually wouldn't have the time to care about all of their students individually. The small school setting also allows for kids to be involved in many different opportunities, like sports or drama, which normally people wouldn't get the chance to participate in. I kid you not I could talk about this school for days, but seriously if you are reading this and you're thinking of sending your child here or even coming here yourself, I cannot reccomend anything higher than Dallas Lutheran. I'm done glazing now just being honest I love going to school here I love being with all the students I love all the teachers and the staff its really such a great environment and it's actually a night and day difference from the way it was a few years ago and how my friends tell me it was before I got here. Last thing, even if you don't end up coming here, I pray that you would stand firm in your faith no matter where you go, and that the Holy Spirit would guide you in ALL of your endeavors! God bless, Go Lions!!!

I wrote a review about the school a couple of years ago. My background and understanding of the…read moreschool is more than your average person as I myself am graduate and I taught there for almost 30 years. My husband was also an administrator for the same length of time. I want to remind people that reviews coming from parents are often quite skewed through the eyes of their child. It doesn't mean it's not relevant, but without the proper background information you must not believe everything you hear. If you have ever raised a teenager, then you know what I'm talking about and if you haven't, please understand that they often exaggerate based on their hormones and also their social skills. Drugs are in every school. I'm always amazed when parents say how surprised they are to hear what their child has seen heard. These are NOT NEW or rampant issues anymore than any other school in the entire state. Getting a Christian education does not mean that you were going to be surrounded by perfect people. My experience at school is based on one on one conversations with students. They supported my belief that some of the kids were involved with marijuana and had issues with vaping. Like any school I've ever worked in the kids have access to alcohol often due to older siblings or parents that don't care. Again, this is absolutely no different than any other school in existence. To be transparent: The school is under a brand new administrator who has the heart of a lion! Many people pray that she will be the one that makes a difference. The school was hit by a tornado in 2019 and that's what put them in the portables. Fundraising has been done to begin a build on the property, but there have been many issues with the city, with the loan, and with the rising cost of materials. Covid along with the tornado changed everything The school board from about 2018-2022 is responsible for many of the issues that the school dealt with. They absolutely did not follow policy and many members needed to be removed. This has changed, thank the Lord! The leadership is now very trustworthy and they follow policy! The academics have always been solid and indeed many things have changed regarding enrollment. The school has never wanted to reject any family who wishes their child to have a Christian education. So comments about "they take everybody and anybody "are incredibly judgmental and not worthy of any kind of response. The involvement of parents has always been good - but over the past 10 to 15 years things have changed regarding parental care. I believe it's due to social media, but students are incredibly lazy and unfocused. This is not a criticism of spirit or personality. It is a criticism of the social network that surrounds the student. Again, to be transparent, I was forced to leave the school in 2020. I left due to an unethical administrator, and two other administrators who, for the most part are gone. His desire not to be criticized and called out on not only unethical issues but foundational Christian behavior. But I know the foundation of Lutheran education, and I believe that Dallas Lutheran school still holds dear to the Bible and our belief in Jesus Christ as Savior. Take my review and all of these with a grain of salt. There is truth here and some of the things that have been said happen. But the criticism of the faculty and the staff is unsupported and biased. You have no idea what the teachers of Dallas Lutheran high school have gone through over the last 40 years. Remember, I no longer teach there and not by choice. And I still know that nobody cares as much as they do! Add to that a school secretary, who is literally a "school mom" to the students and often the faculty and staff! She is brilliant.
