I grew up at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, and it truly feels like home in every sense of the word. My roots here run deep...my parents were married here in 1963, I received all of my sacraments here, and both my brother and I were married here as well. All three of my children were baptized here, and now my youngest is preparing for Confirmation this May. This parish has been woven into every chapter of my life. While I've spent time at other parishes over the years through my children's schools, there is just something special about St. Robert's that's hard to put into words. The warmth, the sense of community, the spirit...it's different. It's genuine, welcoming, and deeply rooted in faith. Father Marco is truly exceptional. He brings a warmth and authenticity that resonates with everyone. His homilies are thoughtful, relevant, and often sprinkled with humor...he has a gift for connecting with parishioners in a way that feels personal and meaningful. He doesn't just lead Mass...he creates an experience that draws you in, inspires you to grow in your faith, and makes you feel seen, valued, and part of something greater. After stepping away for a period of time, I returned a couple of years ago...and the moment I walked back in, I was flooded with memories. From attending CCD as a child, to my husband going through RCIA, to quiet moments of prayer and reflection, to sitting beside my grandmother...who lived to be 101...this church holds so many sacred memories for me. Every person I've brought here has come back. There's something about this place that stays with you. St. Robert's isn't just a church...it's home. And I feel incredibly blessed and grateful that it continues to be such a meaningful part of my life. read more

I have been a parishioner at St. Robert Bellarmine Church since 1995. For over 30 years, my family and I have attended Mass, donated to the church, and volunteered our time. This church has been an important part of our lives. I was married here, my sister was married here, and so was my late younger brother. In January 2026, my brother was diagnosed with an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. As his condition worsened, my mother reached out to Father Marco in April 2026, came over to his office, and asked if he could come to his home to visit my brother, pray with him, and give him a blessing during his final days. Unfortunately, Father Marco declined the visit and instead chose to simply just give my brother a call. He passed away in May 2026. At a time when our family was desperate for spiritual comfort, this response left us heartbroken and deeply disappointed. We had hoped our church would be there for us during one of the most painful moments of our lives. Over the years, I have seen significant effort devoted to fundraising and donations for the church and school, and I understand those needs are important. However, my experience left me feeling that when one of its longtime parishioners truly needed spiritual care and compassion, we did not receive it. This experience has profoundly affected my trust in the church. We never expected special treatment--only the kind of compassion, presence, and spiritual support that we believed our priest and faith community represented. Instead, we were left feeling abandoned, betrayed, and questioning the support I thought our church would provide in our family's darkest hour. I sincerely hope this feedback encourages reflection on the importance of being present for parishioners, especially those facing terminal illness and their grieving families. Moments like these are when the Church can make the greatest difference. read more

We are all early here and it seemed another wedding was going right before So we needed to squeeze pass everyone and everyone blocking the steps to enter the church and parking was messy waiting for everyone to leave But inside the church was beautiful and the priest was so amazing he was funny at 1 point And the mass was about love. The people are warm and welcoming. We were encouraged to sing along, which made the Mass so energetic. They have coffee and pastries outside afterward. The priest and the community made our toddler grandson feel welcome, and children joined a teacher to go to their own scripture study, then returned for the rest of the service. They have a very small parking area so yes, parking is an issue but just make sure you arrange accordingly and be willing to walk some distance to arrive on time and it will be all worth it! Saint Robert Bellarmine is one of the three parishes in the city of Burbank. It is located in Downtown Burbank next to the Central Public Library. Aside from the Catholic Church, Saint Robert has elementary school, and high school. Its buildings which are modeled after colonial American buildings, are featured in An Architectural Guidebook to Los Angeles. Among the three parishes in Burbank, this church is actually the hardest place to find a parking spot probably due to its downtown location. The inside lot has very limited space so you will need to drive to the next block to park by the elementary school. The church, offices, schools, and the whole surrounding is very clean and well-kept. They also have St Bridget Hall where they hold big events. Heating and cooling system in the church should be improved as air isn't distributed equally. There's spots that could get high or cold. The parishioners are very friendly and most of them know each other. They have different activities such as fiesta, Easter and Christmas traditions organized by parishioners. The choir isn't that great compared to other parishes. read more

Terrible experience all around. I feel awful to leave a religious organization such an awful review but after numerous negative experiences I wanted to warn others of the experience we have had at this establishment and school. My child attended this school for several years and we decided to finally withdraw from this school. My theory for a supposed religious organization is to really practice what they preach. I cannot understand the rude behavior of the staff and parish in most instances. If your child goes to school here they will not make friends. The community here is really only about their own agenda and are not social or kind unless you are in the clique. The homework is overwhelming and my daughter would come home crying every day due to the 2 hour homework she was given on a nightly basis. The aftercare is the WORST. The ladies conducting that service could care less about the parents that work hard and are trying to provide a kind and caring environment. All in all this school is not worth the $$$ you pay. They have very little resources (computers, library and extracurriculars are barely in existence.) I honestly give this school very little time as I do believe that they will not be around long with the low classroom numbers and lack of warmth. We opted to move to St. Francis which gives so much more for your money. I am hoping to save others the heart ache that we experienced at this school. read more

I have many fond memories here. Yes, I was baptized here, however I clearly have no recollection of that. However, as a child, I came here often with my grandmother for mass. It is a small church - however the community is what makes this place fabulous. Everyone knows everyone and looks out for everyone. They have donuts some sunday mornings, a festival each summer, just nice normal parish activities. The priests are very humble and exteremely friendly - even the retired monsigner makes himself available when needed. Sacraments are always a priority here and from what I have experienced - there is minimual red tape to get through when trying to make an appt or speak to someone. read more

Church??? Filipino time??? My kinda of CHURCH! This is my CHURCH! it's down the street from my pad! And the halfway point from my pad to my parents pad! I have been going here since 1997... My friends were alter boy/girls and I had friends that went to bell Jeff high ... All the "Pares" (Priest in Tagalog) are really cool, very simple services! I remember one of the priest who had passed(God rest his soul) ... hit me up after Mass once and saw my wristband from a concert that I went to "Either Summer sanitarium or KROQ Weenie roast" ... Either way, he greeted me like this ... "Hey son, what concert did you go to?" I replied with one of the concerts I had stated above... " and his reply was " THAT WAS ONE HELLLLLLLLLLLL (Emphasizing the HELL part) of a CONCERT!!!!" ... The Holiday services here are also extremely wonderful! Very nice and peaceful ... good amount of parking ... Peace be with you! god bless! Oh and btw ... the Bread and Wine service is OFF THE CHAIN!!!!!!! Jussss sayyyyin! read more

I have been going to this church for over 20 years now, and it's my family's home parish. I received first communion, confirmation, and got married at this church. My younger sister and all the babies in our extended family were also baptized here. This church truly welcomes all and is a blessing to everyone that attends. The fellow parishners, priests, and volunteers are all very helpful, kind, and welcoming. read more
