Lifelong friendships were born there. As an adult, I became a leader of the Youth Group for a while and met some amazing kids. They are still amazing as adults. St. A & C is a place you can find the warmth and welcome of an accepting community; where you can explore your faith without judgment; and where you can form connections that last a lifetime.

We felt welcomed from the…read morestart, and were very impressed with Father Greg and his thought-provoking sermons that combine his life experiences and current events that make his sermons relevant. His great sense of humor kicks it up another notch. When we leave St. Andrew and St. Charles, we feel like we have taken a shower and cleansed our souls and are ready to face the world again with a fresh, positive perspective! We ended up going back for the sermons, but then we found ourselves really enjoying our new acquaintances, many of which we now consider good friends. Being surrounded by really good people rubs off on you, and we have found that we are better people as a result. St. Andrew and St. Charles does a lot of good for the community, and as a result we have some fund raisers to be able to do that good. However, the fund raisers are A LOT OF FUN! Casino Night and Murder Mystery Night are fund raisers, but I feel that the dinner provided and the fun we have are well worth it. There are also Dodger's night, trips to the Hollywood Bowl, and an annual rectory party that is probably the best party of the year in most peoples' lives!

My family was not a regular church going group before we found this church. The same Angie that the lady referred to below, welcomed us with open arms and encouraged us to participate in the activities. Our kids have been going here for close to 4 years and we are happy to have found a friendly church community. Sadly Angie is no longer at BFUMC but it is still a welcoming and fun church. Our Church is members of the Family Promise, where churches house homeless families for a week. We have a yearly Vacation Bible School in the summer. There is a kids choir and amazing adult choir. There is also classes for yoga, dancing and singing. These are just to name a few of activities. I know we have many special needs members and a few special needs kids that participate in church activities, so I find it hard to believe that Angie would have purposely excluded a child for this reason. There is a nursery and Sunday school for kids below 5th grade to participate in during church services. There is also youth group with an energetic leader for the older kids. If you are looking for a friendly church please check us out. We also have a nice fellowship hour after services that you are welcome to enjoy.
