Leah was really helpful and kind which is rare especially when you learn about how bad other property managers are in the same area as this property. Leah was really patient with us as we tried really hard to find other girls to join our house but it always fell through with some of these girls. Leah recommended the 4 bedroom side to us and even went out of her way to show that side of the house to 2 of the girls since I was really busy with a final for a class. Leah has been nothing but kind and respectful. She wasn't up our butts about paying for the deposit and she was really understanding when we had an issue with finding people. I'm glad this company took over for the property that we found instead of the prior one due to how it feels so frat like and how the property management is changing it. I highly recommend this company if you're looking for a place and heard bad things about other property management.

I would not recommend DeSantis Property Management based on my experience…read more After my tenants moved out on October 31, I expected my property to be prepared quickly for a new tenant. Instead, I experienced months of poor communication, delays, broken commitments, and questionable billing practices. Although work orders for cleaning and winterization were created in early November, the carpets were still not cleaned months later despite multiple invoices, repeated follow-up emails, and promises that the work would be completed. I personally visited the property on multiple occasions and found a strong animal odor, large carpet stains, tires and junk left in the garage, and maintenance items that had not been addressed. Communication was consistently reactive rather than proactive. I repeatedly had to ask for updates, and many emails went unanswered. I was promised improved communication, complimentary carpet cleaning, and removal of the remaining debris, yet these commitments were either significantly delayed or never fulfilled. I also discovered a water shutoff notice on the property because the utility bill had not been addressed. I had to pay more than $400 immediately to prevent the water from being shut off. Later, I found duplicate management fees, additional cleaning charges for work that was never completed, charges for services after I had already informed the company I was terminating my management agreement, and billing discrepancies related to the water account. Perhaps the most frustrating part was that I was repeatedly asked to lower the rent because the property was not leasing, while basic maintenance and cleaning needed to attract a tenant had still not been completed. After months of frustration, I decided to sell the property instead. Throughout the process I spent an enormous amount of time following up, documenting issues, and correcting problems that should have been handled by the property management company. Every property management company will encounter challenges, but what matters is communication, accountability, and follow-through. Unfortunately, those qualities were consistently lacking throughout my experience. Based on the delays, lack of responsiveness, unfulfilled promises, and inaccurate billing, I cannot recommend DeSantis Property Management.

The apartment is 'ok' but upon moving in after hours in a Uhaul coming from atlanta, our "move in ready" apartment smelled so strongly of food and fish. The carpet was old, stained and still had marks from someone else's furnishings and felt crusty. Marks in the walls, cracks in the ceiling and window siding. The kitchen is unbelievably small and the bathroom had issues with water being searing hot. God knows why the dining/living room is enormous and the rest of the apt is totally cramped. The maintenance people are very kind and wonderful but sometimes the work seems very rushed--for instance someone literally just hacked a huge hole in the back of our cabinets for electrical rather than spending the time to pay attention to detail. The washer and dryer do NOT work well so do not consider them a perk. There are always tiny gnats in the gym and hallways and we work hard to keep these from spreading into the apt. Side note that the gym is dirty and very dated. The staff is accommodating but we find that they often have "paving" "internet" or other work being done which causes an inconvenient need to keep moving your car or inhibits those who work from home. The pool is only mildly clean and typically has a film. It appears this building is somewhat taken care of, but not professionally invested in and if you have issues with their appliances or systems they are unable to pay to replace faulty items you inherited from previous owners and they are unable to fix the apt back to spec after each tenant. Our heating and cooling tends to escape through windows and costs about $200/month. I'd As for the comment below: ALL of this was brought to the attention of Bryn Mawr onsite manager AND the overall property manager! I left Kristin emails with full detail and pictures and we received very little help. I have no reason to call a number now when Bryn Mawr was made well aware and is leaving a comment to look helpful. I've also attached some pictures of the apt condition on move-in day.

Even when we had to move out early, Patrick made every effort to make accomodations and work with us. Up and coming part of Pittsburgh with some nice restaurants, easy transit, and pretty safe. We located our daughter in these apartments and she always felt safe for the semester. Be sure to check out these apartments for a good deal.

Washington is a nice small community to live in and you have easy access to almost all areas of the city. I know of no other place you can live with affordable rent and amazing views of the city skyline. As far as the property and the apartments. It is an old building but very well constructed. I have friends that live in some newer condos / apartments throughout the city and you can hear your neighbors having conversations in their apartment next door. This is NOT the case at Grandview. The apartments are very quiet and that is a huge plus. Recently Management has been putting a lot of time and effort into updating the common areas and apartments. I like the building so much that I moved from an older place into one of the newly renovated apartments. Updates to the kitchen, flooring, and counter tops are very well thought out and elegant. I feel like I'm living in a place worth much more than my monthly rent. The staff at Grandview Pointe are very attentive to any issues that may come up. Taylor, the office manager is very personable and you never see the maintenance staff just sitting around. They are always out in the property attending to tenant needs or making sure the common areas are clean. You couldn't ask for more. My ONLY two gripes with the property are very small. 1. Guest parking is non existent. I know it's tough because of how congested of an area the building is in but it would be nice if there were somewhere for guests to park. There are two large parking lots across the street that are used for the Monterey Bay valet service. 2. The washers and dryers are coin operated but there is no change machine on the property. It would be nice to not have to worry about whether I had enough quarters to do my laundry. The management office also feels that it isn't an invasion of privacy to schedule tours for prospective residents for the exact unit you want WHILE you are living there as soon as you mention you're moving out. So unprofessional. You get 24 hours notice before a tour. Why give notice at all if you're just going to show up anyway? I've never seen this done in other buildings I've lived in before. It makes the vibe more business-like than actually living in a community. All they care about is your money. I really do like Walnut Capital overall, but the Walnut on Highland property itself is overpriced and unprofessional in their policies and communication with residents.

This park contains Lake Elizabeth, which was named after a mayor's daughter; the Patricia Regan Rooney Memorial Fountain; artwork such as sculptures, monuments, and memorials; and the National Aviary. For many years I have visited this park. I have been a customer of the National Aviary many times. Most recently, I visited this park for Pittsburgh's Veg Fest. The Patricia Regan Rooney Memorial Fountain was a beautiful thing to see. For Veg Fest, the park had multiple pathways on which many dozens of vendors' tents and trucks were set up. The space was large enough to accommodate many people.

Allegheny Commons East park is a small park located across from Allegheny General Hospital. The…read moreoriginal northeast fountain has been renamed the Patricia Rooney Memorial fountain. It is worth a stop in itself. The park holds diagonal pathways as well as gardens and most often people walk their dogs through it. The park is host to a number of events such as the Northside farmer's market held on Fridays over the summer. Yoga classes are held here along with family day events. Perhaps the biggest draw is the annual Veg Fest that is held every year near the end of August. Veg fest is designed to show case mostly vegan foods, merchandise, soaps, matcha, coffees and other vegan vendors not only from the Pittsburgh area but from surrounding states. They also offer daily live entertainment on their main stage. I usually come here to veg fest to check out some of the vendors I can never get to and still enjoy the benefits of healthy eating. There's no way you can walk past a 250 pound live pig that comes from a group called the Pittsburgh "squealers." Check out the live goats as well. There are a number of vegan tees for sale and you can purchase a "tote bag" at the main tent with some coupons and other goodies. Perhaps even buy raffle tickets for prizes. New this year is a lighted sign with the festival's name on it. Food vendors are the most popular and you can usual tell where you are going to get something good by the long lines. Among those vendors are Pure Grub, Shado Beni, Onion Maiden, Chik un, Chip and Kale, Everest Easts, Sree's, and Bitchy vegan homo. Sample healthy juices from Live Fresh juices and 1.11 juice bar. There are also plenty of food trucks including Franktuary-perhaps the only place to get something that was left from the former Lawrenceville storefront. People are encouraged to bring their dogs and there are vendors selling dog goods as well. The "dog stop" in the strip is one of those places. Perhaps my favorite out of town vendor is "Totally sweet" from Cleveland, Ohio. Here you can purchase vegan pop tarts as well as dog treats. The main sponsor for Vegfest is "Justice for Animals" which is a non-profit organization designed to promote animal rights. Vegfest is big into composting and there are appropriate signage for how to dispose of your trash in a way that best protects the environment. All in all Allegheny Commons East is a two block long park where you can get away and enjoy the beauty of nature on the North Side of Pittsburgh.
