We have struggled with various private schools, but nothing compares to Sagemont and what each and every teacher has provided. They devote themselves to the success of your child. I'm extremely disappointed by my experience with this school. After a direct conversation about my…read moreson's potential enrollment, I sent a thoughtful follow-up email and received no response. That lack of communication is unacceptable, especially from a school that claims Christian values. My son required only one accommodation: access to a teacher or counselor when he feels anxious. He has excellent behavior and is a kind, compassionate child. After fully explaining this, we were told the school could not meet that need. It is deeply concerning that there is no counselor available, especially while there are plans to expand to a high school campus. Any school, and certainly a Christian one, should have trained counselors and support systems in place for students. As Christian parents, we are intentional about raising our son in a strong church community and equipping him spiritually. We sought a school that would partner in that, not turn him away for needing occasional guidance. Scripture calls us to "carry each other's burdens" (Galatians 6:2), yet this experience reflected the opposite. I urge the school to seriously evaluate both its communication and its ability to support children who need care, wisdom, and guidance.

Greetings Dear Reader,…read more You are reading the most honest review about this school. This is from my experience in the application process after speaking with a prominent staff member at the school. First, we acknowledge that Jesus is King. And that to our children belong the kingdom of heaven. Raising our children right with the fruits of the spirit will lead them to our Father and to our savior Jesus. Parents have a direct role with the raising of our children and our teachers are not far behind in what they do for our children. A christian school is to be led by strong christian men and women. These "leaders" are to exemplify what it means to be christian and a follower of Jesus. This includes showing love, enduring joy, having inner peace, being kind, demonstrating patience and gentleness, exuding faithfulness and goodness and having self-control. We must understand that no one is perfect. Everyone has endured pain, stress, anxiety, etc. However, as a leader in the classroom/teacher the lowest hanging fruit is patience, gentleness, self-control and love. You need to be patient with the children, gentle when they are in need of gentleness, self-control when it is asked and above all love when the kids need it. Based on my initial experience and what i was told, this school and its staff do not have the tools or experience to fully direct the path of these kids in the way I feel a christian school would. Everything happens for a reason as God is never without intent and direction and He does not change. From knowing what I know now, I am glad that our light will be brought elsewhere and that my sons light will not be dimmed by this school. Love conquers all and Jesus is King. Thanks to all who read until the end.

What a shame to see my old high school have such awful reviews. Cypress Bay is one of the greatest…read morehigh schools in the nation and I'm not just saying that because I went there. I have talked too many people who went to other schools and transferred to Cypress Bay or friends who moved away, every time they said that Cypress Bay was not only better, but MUCH better. The school gives you so much freedom, not only in the typical style of picking your classes/clubs, but the staff respects it's students and doesn't enforce strict rules on everyone. By the staff giving the students this freedom, they expect the students to not take advantage of that freedom and for the most part they don't. What results here is a well-established relationship between the students and staff that really works. The classes here are great with some of the best teachers in the state, many of whom you talk to will tell you how much they appreciate working at the school. There are so many AP classes available and many great electives that other schools may not offer. Through this they do a great job preparing their students for their future. For example, some very intelligent kids can choose to do many high-level AP credits if they want to go to into the medical field. At the same time, someone like me can join a club and take classes on something like TV Production which was amazing in preparing for me for my career. Speaking of clubs there are so many, that you can find something for everyone. This almost reminds me of what I see in college. Most of the students stay at Cypress Bay after school for clubs or sports activities. It's great to see so many students getting involved and it's also great to see the pride they have for the school. Sure are there a lot of students, but that also prepares you for college and it can also be a good thing. Think about it this way, the more students there, the more likely you are to find someone who will share things in common with you and make easy friends. The school is clean, safe and amazingly managed by the staff. The experience you have here is one of a kind, I wouldn't go anywhere else for highschool if I had a choice. 4 years of great times, I honestly have nothing negative to say about the school. Please do not let some sour reviews influence you to send your children to private school. Believe it or not, Cypress Bay is preferred by many students who went to the local private schools. I only hope one day my children can go to a school like this. 5/5

However, we needed a school that checked ALL the boxes; academic approach/curriculum, safety and security, professionalism, trustworthy, communicative, importance to cleanliness(this was even more important because we started during the pandemic). Weston Learning Academy checked EVERY.SINGLE.BOX. Mrs. Dolores was responsible for our first impression of the school and she made a lasting one. She is a joy to communicate with and she is so intuitive and understanding. Our daughter is excelling academically and loves going to school. Ms. Anais is a wonderful teacher and has prepared her very well for the transition to Kindergarten. Credit goes to the administration, faculty and staff for making children feel so welcome and excited to learn. Of course it was a no brainer when our second child was ready, WLA was the school for her. Once again, they proved that we had made the best choice for our girls. There's nothing more important than peace of mind when it comes to your kids. That's what WLA gives us everyday we drop them off.

Their curriculum is impressive and they also use the Montessori approach which I love and respect. They are also great communicating and keeping parents informed. Overall, my child and my family are having a wonderful experience at Weston Learning academy. Thank you WLA!.
