Now with that being said, the days are winding down. It's been four long challenging years, but she has made it. This is baby girl's last year of high school....Class of 2025! Am I excited? My nephew was just beginning his adjustment process, and instead of receiving understanding, patience, and support, the school decided that he could no longer continue. I believe this demonstrates a lack of empathy and true inclusion. If a school is not prepared to support and accommodate a child who may need a little more understanding, it should be honest with families from the beginning, rather than accepting a child and then turning him away when challenges arise. I hope other families learn about our experience before making their decision. Every child deserves to feel accepted, respected, and safe in the place where they go to learn.
