We were greeted warmly and with a free cookie sample. Everyone was very friendly. Upstairs, the shop promotes thrifting as a way to reduce landfill waste and push back against throwaway culture. Downstairs, the cafecito serves delicious Cuban food and drinks, surrounded by local art and a spirit of connection. There is a 'Christmas Tree' in the back - at least, I called it that, but I was gently corrected: it's a place for people to voice their wishes and for visitors like me to come forward if they can make that wish come true. The whole place is welcoming, thoughtful, creative, and full of heart. I love a good coffee shop with a good mission! Metered parking outside and you know how downtown Phoenix goes when it comes to parking: it's hit or miss.

This is one of my favorite spots to pop in when I'm in Downtown Phoenix. From the friend staff to the amazing drinks/food you can't go wrong here. My favorite drinks to get would have to be the La Galetta if I'm feelin something sweet and the Cafe Con Leche for something classic. The cookies are also PHENOMENAL, I got the coffee cookie for my husband as a treat and his eyes almost popped out of his head. It was soft but not falling apart and was perfectly sweet. I can't wait til I can pop in again. P.S They also run a thrift shop upstairs so if you have a time please check out what gems you can find up there!! They have everything from clothes, shoes, accessories, books, etc.

She was so welcoming and I loved her vibe and both stores in general. I'm a bit "mature" figured so there was plenty of shopping choices for me. Great housewares too. Loved the music too. I found this cute store on TikTok a few weeks ago and decided that I'd go check it out and donate items from cleaning my closet. The owner has the most welcoming energy as you enter the front door and is so so very polite! She has vinyl records playing softly on a record player and everything from beautiful bangle bracelets to pots, pans, paintings and books!!! The best part about this store is how "HOMEY" it feels and how SWEET it smells!!! Everything is displayed in a way that demands that you calmly take your time to browse around, enjoy the music and just vibe!!! She has a bookshelf with jeans and I appreciate how they offer all sizes and I DO MEAN ALL SIZES!!! I had a bag of clothes that I would normally take to GW; so I felt good about donating to a Mom & Pop/black-owned shop instead Although my intention was to drop off my items and go about my day, I ended up buying a cute Wrap Dress for work, a linen top and a cute book for my friend's daughter! Please please pleeeeeeease support this shop yall! Grab a coffee and head on over to Thrift Stories, you won't regret it

I googled Bird Sanctuary near me and Liberty Wildlife Rehab popped up. Luckily they were open until 6, so we were able to make it over there. We took our little baby birdie to the rescue window. The kindest lady came and placed him in a little box and then took him back to a baby bird nursery room. She came back and she was just so sweet and I knew the little bird would be just fine with these people. In the area behind here she had huge rescued birds behind her. 3 were vultures. And 3 other huge birds were there too just hanging out on there perches. No cages just chilling. And then a goat came up outside the window, to peek in and say hello. Just a wonderful place, where I am going to be donating to monthly so they can keep up their good work and continue to keep there Rescue Intake Window open!! Please visit their website and Pop by to visit the amazing grounds and bring your kids. It is truly beautiful.
