Checked this amazing coffee shop out in downtown on friday with a friend. We were greeted when we walked in and checked out their menu (lots of options)! A kind lady walked us through their coffee and backstory a bit and helped us decide on what to get. We decided on the 'la dorna' and they were also giving out samples of their delicious cookies that were soft and sweet! They offered alternative milk which was great for me. They told us there was an area to check out in the back and the ambience was so relaxing back there. Our coffees were brought out to us and the kind gentleman told is to sip the espresso on its own before mixing it together. Literally the best espresso ever, it had so much flavor just on its own ! Mixed up my drink and it had such a sweet balance between the brown sugar and the espresso that came through nicely. Genuinely believe this was the best coffee I've ever tried + excellent customer service! Can't wait to come back and try their food options!

    ASK FOR JOHN

Come on into the cafécito, and ask for John! Seriously exciting b/w photography reminiscent of Humans of New York by an up-and-coming photographer identifiable by his style and local connections. Jack is serving weekly roasted Cuban café (con leche) with a giant cinnamon sugar cookie or coffee cake (you choose - cookies were more moist, in my experience). If you work through lunch, the melty gooey Cubano Sammy is what grilled cheese dreams are made of. Thrift for buying with purpose upstairs!

The best coffee shop in Downtown Phoenix, and I don't say this lightly. The coffee is exceptional, and all has a Cuban flair. Try the Cafe Con Leche on ice and they'll tell you the best way to enjoy the flavor. The beans are all fresh roasted. Everything here is made from scratch. Grab a cubano or a fresh made cookie. Or an empanada. Or some of their top tier black beans and rice. You cannot go wrong. The people who own this place are somehow even better than their food. Warm, friendly, and committed to making everyone's day a bit better. The space reflects the personality of the owners, warm and inviting and full of character. This is the sort of locally owned, community focused gem we can never have enough of. Walk through this unassuming glass door down on Central. You'll be so glad you did.

Service was amazing, very kind and informative. Place had a nice atmosphere and had confortable seating and lots of plants which I enjoyed. Coffee was delicious. I got a "La Dorna" and " La Galleta" both had very nice flavor and the coffee cookie was delicious. Would go back again one of my favorite coffee shops I've ever been to!!!

Blueberry Lemon Loaf, Breakfast Sandwich and an empty coffee!

I have been reviewing on Yelp for over 5 years and this is the first time I have written a review based on someone else's opinion, however, when your SunDevil Daughter texts you from college to ask you to review because the place is so AMAZING you have to! Let me first say it is apparently a thrift store with a breakfast/coffee shop so you are not confused when going there. It is right by the downtown ASU campus and seems to be a favorite of the students. My daughter ordered a cookie butter flavored coffee, breakfast sandwich and Blueberry Lemon loaf which she said all tasted yummy! She also said that someone had taken their sandwich so when she told the lady at the counter they not only quickly made them a new one they gave them two cookies even though it was not their fault. My daughter mentioned how friendly and kind the employees were to everyone that came in. I can't wait to check out the place myself on our next visit.

One of the best coffee shops in the downtown area. Very easy to miss spot from outside but once you go in it looks very cute. The staff is super friendly and gave free samples of their fresh made cookie, which was very tasty. The coffee is really delicious as well. They do add brown sugar to their espresso and I forgot to say no sugar but they were very happy to remake the drink without even asking them to do so.

As mentioned in other reviews, there's ample parking and usually homeless people outside. They haven't bothered me or other patrons. There's a bathroom that requires a passcode, probably as an anti-homeless measure... I'm not sure how large other Goodwills tend to be, but I'm always able to walk out of the store with something decent. I've purchased bowls and dishes for about $1/piece, dresses for $8 avg, skirts for about $7 avg, tops for $6 avg. I've even purchased 2 suit sets for $10 each -- 100% silk and 100% wool respectively! Always happy with my experience at this store, although it's more expensive than I'd like a thrift store to be (then again maybe that's just the world we live in, in general). Note: if you donate a bag of clothes, you can get a 20% off coupon, although sometimes the cashier hooks me up with the coupon anyway!

Then we had Covid and they now are saying the dressing rooms cant be opened back up because of that! You purchase something at goodwill for a BIG price, you cant try it on, and you have a week to bring it back, AND you only get store credit, they win twice, they get the item and you have to spend the money at goodwill. They dont have the big sales like the 3rd week of the month, at 50 or 75% off! Why not? I know goodwill is a non proffitt and supposed to pay a percentage of theyr earnings but, a friend of mine works where they send the money and goodwill hadnt paid in a couple years. Goodwill needs to come down on theyr prices, way to hi. stop taking cords of the radios, hooks off shower curtains, and so on, sell them with the item it came with. STOP PUTTING THE TAGS ON THE FRONT OF READING GLASSES and ON TOP SOMETHING THAT HAS A LOGAL. I could say more but i will stop here.
