Moving into a new, three story home, we have had to make many purchases just to fill up the space!…read moreThe decorating budget has been stretched thin since we have been trying to make the house feel like it's truly our space. Going and supporting the Salvation Army really feels good. You're able to find awesome pieces that may not have worked for someone else, but are exactly what you're looking for! I think that this particular thrift store has a very nice selection. I was trying to find books that were yellow to decorate a built in bookcase. Going to Barnes and Noble or another bookseller to purchase brand new books would have really broke the bank! We were able to find four yellow books and paid a fraction of what new books would have cost us!

The pudgy red head manager approached me last week while I was in the store and told me to hand my…read morebag over to the cashier. Why I would trust a cashier with my phone, car keys, wallet, meds, makeup bag, brush, and the medical tank I carry when he can't trust me with my bag? So when I told him no, that I wouldn't be handing over my bag, he became angry and said the cashier would be looking inside as I checked out. Fine. Whatever. He then loudly told me that the last time I was in the store he had observed me stuffing my bag and escorted me out to my car and told me never to return. That never happened. When I told him 'that never happened' I could see he realized his mistake but he didn't apologize. No, he was too angry, belligerent, and self-righteous. Which made him more angry. He shouted at me he was calling the police. Fine, call them. I think the look of complete bafflement on my face and my lack of being intimidated by him truly unsettled him. He was to the point of sputtering. Men don't like it when women don't heel. I left. I thought about waiting for the cops to arrive but suspected his call was fake. I also thought about suing S.A. Had he detained me I would have sued. And, he's REALLY fortunate that there wasn't anyone in the store that I knew. Embarrassment is liable. Had he really 'escorted me to my car' I would have sued. He's a nut that doesn't belong in management. He followed me out to the parking lot and shouted at me he had taken photos of me and my car plate. The entire time I was telling him he was wrong but he wouldn't listen. He only wanted to dominate. S.A. has made the historic mistake of promoting him from their rehab program into management positions. I come from a professional corporate management background. All of our training was at the results of lawsuits: How to be public facing, how to manage without causing emotional distress (like shouting at me in the store and on the parking lot.) A manager's conduct must never go beyond all possible bounds of decency. How to lead! Good riddance S.A. and best wishes for a management overhaul. Try promoting some WOMEN and cease your sexist organizational approach. I was shopping in this store heavily in 2026 buying items and clothing for the tornado victims, taking it all home and washing it before driving it to north city. The store was convenient since it as close to my weekly doc appts at BJC but I will SHOP elsewhere.

This is a Goodwill outlet (or sometimes called Bins), but basically a further discounted Goodwill…read more I posted the price chart (see photo). Plenty of parking. This place was huge with many bins filled with all kinds of things. You need some time to go through everything. I'm not experienced but there are professional searchers there so I just stand next to them and watch them go through it and if there is something that I like then I will take it if they don't. I got a cool Spider-Man/Venom shirt for about 50 cents. There are many good deals but you will need some time.

Have you ever dropped a broken Cheeto at a picnic and reached to pick it up, and then realized…read morethat's unnecessary, because the bugs will take care of it by nightfall? I think that's why the Goodwill Outlet exists. Staff don't label or stage or toss broken stuff. They leave it for this crowd. I saw broken items and intact items. I saw dirty items. I needed a shower by 5 minutes in and I stayed a good 30. I almost bought a few wooden hangers for a friend, but it turned out she didn't need them, so I left them behind. Someone else's treasure. I didn't visit the clothing area because I doubt I'd wear anything that came from this Goodwill Outlet, though I'm sure there are some gems. Goodwill Outlet is a scrapper's paradise. Not just a reseller's... I mean a metal scrapper's. Someone filled a cart with all kinds of metal goods. I didn't check prices, but the last time I checked, most things were by the pound. Tip 1: Get there early or you'll be waiting around for parking. Tip 2: "Early" may also apply to the afternoon, as the hours online suggest they close for 2 hours for lunch.
