I discovered this location when I needed an urgent care (they have one attached), and dang is it…read morethe best decision I've ever made. For context, I'm a medical school professor and very comfortable in a medical setting and know what is and is not acceptable behavior. The PA I saw, Maddie, was personable, very informative, and actually listened... I know that should be what you expect at every doctor's office, but with privatization of insurance that's not always what you get. Heck, she listened and cared more than my students who are REQUIRED to to pass (ha!). She was thorough, listened to all concerned addressed them properly and provided all necessary important information including referrals and follow-ups. She was also incredibly smart and knowledgeable about a lot of topics, and you can tell because she doesn't throw a ton of big words at you to seem smart, it was demonstrated in her ability to describe things at a level that people without medical experience could understand. HIGHLY recommend. The medical assistant, Keniesha, who came in to draw blood and run an EKG was polite, knowledgeable and professional while making me feel at ease during understandably uncomfortable tests. Office staff is friendly, polite, helpful, and great at getting you all set up and going. I was taken back on time for my appointment, no unnecessary waiting (although it's totally understandable when it happens) and a very proficient & excellent overall experience

There was a line formed and the clinic did not open until 8:00 a.m. Allyson was at the front door in the cold, allowing patients to sign up for their clinic visit. Allyson called me by phone, as I waited in my warm car, when it was time for my appointment. You are required to wash your hands before coming into the waiting area; and, of course wear a mask which must cover your mouth AND your nose. Conrad was the associate who administered my Covid-19 test. Conrad explained the procedure (he also took my temperature and pulse oximetry measurements) and performed my nasal Covid-19 test. Conrad was professional, reassuring and kind as was Allyson. The pandemic has been horrible but these two associates made this process easy and stress free. I thank them for their hard work and dedication for risking their lives to assist the public.

In November, 2019, Dr. Wyant, and the entire office, moved from the Georgetown Medical Plaza to Marsh Road in Intech Park off of West 71st Street. Dr. Wyant, and group, is now with the Optum Network. Dr. Wyant has been my Primary Care Physicians (PCP) for many, many years and I still highly recommend him. He has absorbed some retiring physicians patients so his wait time has increased but I take that into consideration on my personal calendar and scheduling. He's so worth it since he gives all his patients the necessary time while still being efficient and productive. He truly cares about the health and well being of his patients. The new location sets back off Marsh Road, is a one level building and has ample parking. As you enter through the automatic sliding doors you're directly standing in the lobby. The same smiling faces you knew at the old office greet you as you enter. The charming office waiting room is large, brightly lite and I personally enjoyed the new comfortable chairs. The convenient internal lab was relocated with the office so no need to find a new lab for lab orders from your doctor. The new lab is much larger than the old closet size lab. Just remember this lab is for in-house Optum doctor's orders only. The new location is closer for some and farther for others but honestly only 10-15 minutes from the old office off Georgetown Road. Easy on/off access off 465 onto West 71st Street exit.

Where to even begin... I thought that I had major issues with IU Health when I used to go to them…read morefor PCP services and then I experienced the hell that is St. Vincent. With my insurance, I'm given a free annual preventative wellness exam. This means that anything that is preventative in nature (i.e. you don't have anything but want to prevent anything from happening; vaccinations, vitals, etc.) is all included and my insurance pays for 100% of it. With this in mind, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for a PCP. Before I get into that hot mess, I'll include that they give you ONE NUMBER for literally everything. That one number is somehow supposed to get you to billing, your PCP office, scheduling an appointment, and anything else. Their phone system is horrible and insanely challenging to use. I scheduled an appointment for preventative care. During my appointment, my doctor advised I get some vaccinations even though I've already had them and also assumed my sexual orientation and personal life without asking any questions based on her assumption of my sexual orientation. She advised that I also get an HIV test, even though I expressed that I had the opposite issue. She also pressured me to get the flu shot when I told her that I didn't want one and made me feel bad about it. She advised that I go to the lab and get lab tests done for blood work (as per my request during the exam). She didn't tell me where it was, when I needed to go, what I was supposed to do, etc; I had to ask her everything. To make matters worse, I then get my bill and it's over 300x what I'm supposed to owe. I call my insurance and they acknowledge that they miscoded something so I called St. Vincent (somehow got to someone pressing random buttons on the call system). They told me everything was correct and that I was charged properly. I was annoyed, but I sucked it up and ate the cost. My PCP then referred me to a specialist within the network shortly after. I arrived and had to wait 45 minutes after my scheduled time. After waiting, I was then not even seen by the doctor, but rather a resident who was not even from this hospital. That stuff annoys me. I pay to see the doctor I schedule to see. Not only that, but I then get the bill and come to find out I've been incorrectly charged for something 3x more than what I owe. Again. I call the insurance, furious, and again, they tell me that they are going to directly call them and figure it out because they "need to get their act together." I also called St. Vincent to tell them. Finally, they admitted fault and that they incorrectly coded the specialist visit. I'm currently working on getting the preventative care appointment mess figured out. Regardless, I would never recommend coming to this network. Ever.

I constantly have to fight with them concerning my prescriptions and my doctors appointments and the staff is incompetent, rude and just down right unprofessional. Don't trying calling. I am placing them on the news and they need to be investigated. I even had the heads of the hospital and the program get involved. This is ridiculous. Even the insurance companies have a hard time getting in contact with SVPCC.

My husband located this urgent care center that was actually open until 9pm and was near 86th and Michigan Rd. We ran over. It is a small place on the north side of 86th St. Very clean and accommodating. Dr. Khan was patient and very thorough. He told us exactly what we had (strep) and why we had it. He explained what medication he was prescribing and why. He told us where to go to fill the prescription and said that if we were going to go directly to the pharmacy he would wait (past his 9pm closing time) to make sure that the pharmacy didn't need to call him because of the narcotics prescription (Tylenol with codeine). He said they would bill our insurance and on our way we went. He was maybe the best urgent care doc either of us has ever seen. Dr. Khan told us that he used to work at the urgent care in Nora but he left and opened up this place on his own. Looks like he has a second location on W. 10th St. as well. We would highly recommend this clinic.

You could tell he is not a "cookie cutter" or "cookbook doctor" where I feel they don't think analytically but look up a typical cookbook recipe to fix the problems. You can tell the Doctor has extensive experience and his approach is individualized. My daughter who really liked the doctor and was very happy being there. Rare for a child to like doctors office. He said…read moreI must be feeling lousy because of the weight gain, though my autoimmune numbers were up, and I should just try to lose some weight. It was a frustrating answer, since the inability to lose weight was part of the problem. My husband's coworker recommended Amy Nicley, NP, at Excell for Life, since they work on your health through dietary changes and supplements, so I made an appointment. Blood tests galore revealed major inflammation and an autioimmune issue, as well as a problem with my pancreas that prevents me from processing carbs (hence the rapid weight gain!). I never would have known that! While we're continuing to figure out my body's autoimmune issue, I'm already feeling so much better with the dietary changes and supplements we've implemented. I was having heartburn all day, every day, headaches every day---that's all gone! I have far more energy, too. And Amy won't stop looking for answers until my whole system is happy again---no shrugs and, "Let's wait it out," or, "I don't know what to tell you." She's excited to figure this out, like a detective with a thrilling case. I absolutely love that about her! The supplements are a bit pricey, but some are rather exotic compared to what I've taken before (the grocery store variety, you know), so I don't know if they'd be cheaper elsewhere. And there is a $97 out-of-pocket functional medicine fee for each visit (on top of what they bill insurance, I believe), which is a little different. But it's been worth every penny! A side note: many of the medical professionals here were patients here and experienced such great results they just HAD to make their way on staff. Truly, it's that great.

The immediate care doctors, nurses, and MAs are very knowledgeable and always give great patient education. If you're lucky I'll be one of the gals taking care of you. You do not need an appointment for the Immediate care, but here are some tips: * Immediate care does not mean ER or URGENT. If you bleeding to death, have chest pains, spiking a fever over 103 or have something life threatening, GO TO THE ER. * The immediate care does not do followup maintenance for things like hypertension, diabetes, or any type of conditions that need to be monitored. But lucky for you, this location has a wonderful family practice/internal med and pediatric primary care doctors. So if you are sick or have conditions we can take care of, stop on by! I promise I am the best throat swabber and I give painless shots! :P
