Great time with PT Air Boat Adventures

We stayed in Crystal River and and booked PT Airboat Adventures. Heather did our booking and she was so accommodating, And our tour guide Mike Fish was awesome. If he tells you he is lost don't fall for it. But seriously Mike is knowledgeable and courteous. Definitely the right place to go. We are from south Florida and have taken air boat tours. pT does a great job.

Capt. Paul took us on a wonderful adventure on the river and into the gulf. We saw monkey Island and lots of wildlife. The best part was when we were in the gulf we saw a pod of dolphins so close we could just about reach out and touch them!! My 7 year old grandson was so impressed!! You could not have a better guide than Paul!! His knowledge of the area, and the good nature of this man make it a great experience!! I believe after touring many different venues in Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico, we have some experience with tours like this. This was one of the best experiences we have ever had, and our grandson has not stopped talking about the airboat ride!! I'd like to add, any negative reviews due to the weather or lack of refunds when you don't show up on time are just sour grapes. Schedules can't wait on slow people, and if you can't make it on time, that is on you, not on the tour company. We looked at a Groupon, and read the fine print. They plainly explain the rules of use, so we decided to pay full price rather than get a Groupon. AND if the weather isn't good, you may have to take that up with God, not the tour guide.

We saw dolphins!!! Our guide Paul gave us a great airboat trip, first around Monkey Island, slowly thru the manatee wake zones, fast and fun on the river and thru marshes, and then a couple breaks on the gulf, first to talk about the area, and second to enjoy a pair of dolphins swimming near and around the boat!!! Awesome adventure!! We highly recommend PT Airboat Adventures !!

We even got an extra performance for the Memorial Day holiday with a tribute to our service members. After the show they had a mermaid photo op that was donation based. After the show, I explored the rest of the park. It isn't that large but was a nice area and worth the $13 to get in. They have an area for swimming in part of the springs. I didn't bring my swimsuit but there were many people swimming and having a good time. There are some water slides too. They have a great gift shop. Loved having the opportunity to visit and see an iconic spot for mermaid lovers!

Likely with the students in the area back in school, it helped as we went on a weekday while vacationing here & we were able to go on every ride in 5-10 minutes each and rode each coaster 2-3 times (no fast pass). My son wants to visit every amusement park & this one was a top choice. Our favorite was iron gwazi. I found discount tickets on Groupon $55 & even when the park has deals, Groupon is better as they don't attach all the extra fees. We got the all day meal deal $40 with Groupon deal, but we shared one & went back every 90 minutes which worked well as we didn't want to each eat too much and get sick. We had one difficult experience with the ride rental lockers & I'll never forget how helpful the staff were with us - truly remarkable. I also appreciate that their ride photos are only $5 for digital & $7 for print - they are sometimes 5x that costs at other parks. The only negative I have to say is closing at 6pm on an August weekday seems way too early, i understand a lot of employees are students but at least 8pm? I can't complain too much though as we had plenty of time due to how fairly empty it was.

We more than made our moneys worth on this one. I would highly recommend checking out an annual pass because I think if you go maybe three times total it's more worth it to get the pass than a day ticket. The major benefit of LEGOLAND is how many indoor places there are where kids can just play with Legos. Seriously a dream that I just sit on a bench while my kids build and they can be there for hours. I have never found LEGOLAND to be that busy. There are some rides that get upwards of a 30 minute wait, but being that my kids aren't dying for any specific ride we just skipped those. The waterpark is definitely worth it as well to add onto the ticket. It's not huge, but during Florida's really hot season which is almost year-round, it's a great perk to head to the waterpark in the middle of the day. The food options here are quite terrible. The only bar is in the water area. Otherwise you can get wine or beer at quick service restaurants. The quick Service that has slightly healthier options. That's in the area where you build cars has opened again, which is great. However, overall expect the food here to be unhealthy and quite bad. The hours are also pretty short from 10 to 6 on most days, but it is enough to get through pretty much the whole park since it isn't that crowded. Parking is also very close to the park. The workers here aren't super friendly, and the rides aren't that efficient to get on, so even if it looks like a short line, it could be really long, but again at this price that's fine. After a year we were taking a year break from these passes, but I could definitely see us visiting every so often.

I went into LEGOLAND hoping for that classic LEGO magic, bright colors, fun details, and the…read morefeeling that everything around you was built from the bricks we all know and love. Instead, the property felt tired, worn down, and was lowkey very neglected. The maintenance issues were impossible to ignore. Paint was fading everywhere, the iconic LEGO bricks on buildings and sculptures looked washed out, and a lot of the park just didn't look clean. Dust was literally caked onto vents and fans, like they hadn't been touched in ages. It gave the whole place a dull, dingy vibe instead of the playful, colorful atmosphere you'd expect from a LEGO experience... The Ninjago ride breaking down with people stuck on it was another huge red flag. Rides malfunction sometimes, sure, but when the rest of the park already feels poorly maintained, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence. And maybe the biggest disappointment: it just didn't feel like LEGO. Instead of that bold, creative, brick-built world, the park gives off more of a "knockoff LEGO" energy. Like the idea is there, but the devs did not execute it properly. Its giving tourist trap vibes... Just save ur hundred dollars and put it towards going to Disney or Universal... Like bro what do they even do with the money they earn from the park.. BUT THE STAFF ARE VERY SUPER NICE!! Overall, the experience felt underwhelming and outdated. With the price of admission, you'd expect a park that's clean, well-kept, and full of that signature LEGO personality. Unfortunately, this was not IT.

Had a slightly traumatic experience today. My 7 year old got stuck (for 5 to 10 minutes) in the big slide which is pitch dark all the way through (fun but not when you get stuck) and he wasn't helped promptly. Full story - I was up there at the slide entrance and i could hear him screaming that he needs help. There was a staff up there (looked like a teenage kid) who had a walkie talkie. I assumed he would have informed the people in charge as soon as he got stuck. I kept talking to my son to lie down and try to push himself down and he kept responding saying he's trying everything but is still stuck and it is getting very uncomfortable. After a while I checked with the staff whether someone is coming to help. And then I see him telling on the walkie talkie "the boy is stuck on the slide can someone help?". I was shocked. It must have been a good 5 minutes (no watch, just guessing) and he just thought of informing?! By the time someone could come, my son finally managed to push himself down. I told the guy "you should have informed quicker" and his response was "talk to my manager". I thought "ok no use talking to the teenage kid he probably wasn't trained how to react in these situations". I went to the manager and told her "please train your staff to inform quicker" her response "he probably was sitting down, we cannot do anything about this" i go "No he was lying down this time.. first time he was sitting, but this time he was lying" she repeats "he probably was sitting; we don't promise how long it takes to slide; you eventually get down and that's what matters". Is this an empathetic response? I mean i get you have to stick to boiler plate legal language at times, but im not trying to sue anyone here. Im just looking for "i understand that must have felt scary, ill talk to my staff on acting quicker". I felt like I was talking to a robot both with the teenage staff and with the manager. Anyway, my husband intervened and helped the communication and both the manager and the teenage staff eventually apologized and i really appreciated it. Takeaway - If you're not staying in Holiday Inn, NorthShore Aquatic Center might be as fun for a fraction of the cost If you're staying in Holiday Inn, avoid the blue slide or go shirtless (another staff pointed out that might have helped) I see other reviews as well about untrained and disengaged teenage staff. Should have read before I visited!

I actually had no idea they had a camp in the summer until one of my son's friends wanted to go here and asked us to join him. I'm so glad he did because it was an absolutely fantastic camp. It is fully outside, but they are mainly in the shade so I didn't worry about sunburn and also the kids never complained about it being hot. I have no idea what wizardry this is, but it was completely fine. Three days they zip line and two days they paddleboard. I was actually quite nervous because my son is small so I wasn't sure if he'd be able to zip line. I did call and ask and they said if it's a windy day that he would be tethered to a Guide. He ended up skipping zip lining for two of the days, but on the final day of zip line, he did it and he loved it. He's actually now asking for us to go back together. They also provide lunch, which is fantastic because I hate figuring out what to send for food. They provide snacks as well so all I had to do was send my son with a water bottle and on certain days with a swimsuit and towel. He had a fantastic time. You can drop off at 8:30 and pick up at 4:30, they really don't start till about 9:30 though and I totally took advantage of a later drop off. You can pay eight dollars a day to pick up at five, which is extremely reasonable. We've already been talking about going back to camp again here next year and maybe for additional weeks.
