They had someone go out and give me an estimate and I was told they could get to it on a certain day, that day came and went with no phone call. I called the following day to find out when they were going to get out for the repair. The woman who answered the phone said she had no idea. NO IDEA? What? There is no communication between the front, the workers and the customer, whatsoever. A little back story, when they had previously worked on my parents awning, they put in the wrong size of screws. So it had been going on for years, screws falling out but my Dad would just screw them back in. They would work their way out again, which was a constant thing but it had been too long since they did the work for my Dad to bring it to their attention. (I didnt live in AZ in 2021 so I had no idea this was happening almost weekly). When they came to do an estimate, they admitted that they put in the wrong size screws 5 years earlier. Now it's time for them to do the actual work.And then they don't show up, then they say it's going to be a another week before they can get to it. I wasnt happy about that but was going to take that appointment anyway, he interrupted and said " you know what, to make it easier on everybody I suggest you go find someone else"! They didn't want to deal with my issue and that they're really not making any money off of my small job, just go somewhere else. In the meantime, its been 2 weeks of waiting for them to show up, now I have to start the whole process over. Needless to say, I was shocked that a company would tell me to go somewhere else because they didn't make enough money on my job or want to deal with the situation, but in midsentence of trying to respond, he hung up on me! Mesa Awning does not stand behind their work. Word-of-mouth can be the best advertising and/or the worst advertising. I would never go to this company ever again and I will tell everyone I know not to use Mesa Awning. I looked at some other reviews and apparently the communication hasn't gotten better in 5 years. Also they dont clean up after themselves which is a big turn-off for anyone. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your awning needs!

From the first meeting, he was on time, focused, and genuinely cared about finding the best solution for us. What really impressed us was that he never acted like a salesperson -- no pressure, no upselling, just honest advice and real expertise. Another thing that stood out is that Hektor was hands-on throughout the entire project. He did the work himself with the help of his team, but he was clearly the one leading and making sure every detail was done right. He even came back to go over details in person and worked with us so we could pay for materials with our credit card, which made things so much easier to manage. Even when Phoenix had an unusual week of rain, he stayed in touch to make sure our materials were safe. Once the weather cleared, he showed up right on time, suggested raising the patio height (which turned out to be the best decision ever), and coordinated the stucco work so everything looked seamless. The patio turned out beautiful, and he followed up afterward to make sure we were completely happy. In our experience, the project has been ongoing for nearly six months, yet very little meaningful progress has been made. At this point, we have essentially been left with a large unfinished concrete excavation in our backyard, with no clear timeline toward completion. Throughout the process, there have also been repeated concerns raised by subcontractors and workers regarding payment issues. Meanwhile, requests for additional funds have continued despite the lack of substantial progress on the project. After further research -- which I wish I had completed prior to entering into the agreement -- I discovered information indicating prior licensing issues and multiple lost licenses associated with Brian. It also appears that operations may now be conducted under his son's contractor license. Communication and project management have been extremely frustrating, as nearly every attempt to move the project forward has resulted in additional payment demands without corresponding progress or accountability. This has been a very disappointing and stressful experience overall. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering doing business with them perform extensive due diligence, verify licensing history with the Arizona ROC, and carefully review all contracts, timelines, and payment structures before proceeding.
